@mellamodonjuan none.. to have a driverless car, the driver must consent/accept the possibility of an accident.. the driver is liable and he/she gets the ticket... google is not involved

if this is electronic, it could be hacked... I could reprogram my ex's car to get into a fatal accident. There are too many (non-technical) implications that have to be worked out before it can be plausible.
I want it to be 100% fully auto driver and no man required at all so that we can use it
1)To send just car for laundry,dropping and picking kids for school,getting groceries etc .We need not go
2) remove all controls such as brake padel,steering,excel,gare rad,glass etc and should accomodate more than 8 persons to sleep in 2 levels .inside it shud look like room and contains engine,controller and wheels
@dvnsatish I'm sorry dvnsatish.. but your ideas of 'fully automated' vehicle, will just deteriorate skills and the enjoyment of driving. They intended driverless system as just the next-generation of cruise control, just hi-tech. Having it automated like that will make people much more lazy, no interaction and bored. The main purpose of a car is an extension of a body that we can control as a whole, not an empty car that a system could fail and may jump off a cliff with people in it.
@TSM8088 If you want an all American job, you need to move to China,Mexico,Korea,India and so on. I don't know about you, but it sounds and looks like big business treason to me,and DC let it happen. DC and big business have everything they want so why not, because History shows every time something like this happens,the country Fails in the near future.
@Leroshaft that car you are referring to was probably the BMW system where you have to drive it first then memorizes the course... your comparing apples to oranges.
@unplugged123 No actually it was Volkswagen....and no...This car actually would scan the course then drive it...It had a flashing light much like the Knight Rider car.
i love the idea of a driverless car,but would i have to option of driving it myself as well and would it be anything like the car K.I.T.T. from the original show Knight Rider? with the exception of high speeds and all the other special effects?
i want a limo that will drive me places for free :D
