@0muffins0 Everyone knows that prices will rise, they have been for 100 years. I am sure Schifty will be recommending to his cult to buy Italian bonds any time soon.
@lizardgizard2002 "Everyone knows that prices will rise, they have been for 100 years" - No ... gold and silver have been DECLINING in price from their peak in 1980 until 1999. Also, using inflation adjusted dollars you'll find that most commodities had been declining in price over the last century until the 2000-2007 period.
You're confusing nominal price rises with inflation adjusted figures.
@lizardgizard2002 Silver for instance was declining in real terms from the 1870's with only the 1980 blip and this decades upswing as the counter trend.
@0muffins0 Sorry, I do not confuse anything, ever. If you happen to be a Schiff cult member then you are confused because you only absorb what your gurus preach and do not obtain your information from different sources.
@lizardgizard2002 Schiff is only one of a vary large number of people and organisations saying the same, or very similar, things. You've only latched onto Schiff because he is the most visible with his frequent mass media appearances, so you think he is the only one. Schiff, Faber, Tyler, Sinclair, Rogers, Ferguson, Rickards, Turk, Yves etc etc etc They're all spouting the same thing.
@0muffins0 I will admit there are many right wing radical predictors and they all seem to end up on the Alex Jones conspiracy theorist show. What does that tell you about their credibility? Just because the Libertarian comedy show is in town does not mean everyone wants to attend a fantasy performance. Sure if one is weak of mind they will surely lap up the doom and gloom, the fear mongering and the gold scamming. Dislike of mainstream media fits right in with the conspiracy theorist's mindset.
@lizardgizard2002 but whats so bad about the alex jones show? Are you now discrediting people because they are on the alex jones. Are you saying peter schiiff has fear mongering motives? doesn't his his client's money also depend on the economy. Would it be any different if the dialogue came from two random people on Bloomberg tv? After all its simply just Q & A
@lizardgizard2002 well the fact of the matter is that Schiff and the others are a small percentage of the information stream. You have no other choice but to listen to the mainstream pundits. So Schiff is the different source, not the other way around.
@JohnWroclaw I admit there are many right wing radical predictors and they all seem to end up on the Alex Jones conspiracy theorist show.
@lizardgizard2002 Gold scamming?! Jones was recommending his listeners buy gold when it was around $300/Oz. It's now at $1616/Oz. If you think people who bought gold have been scammed, I want what you're smoking.
@RustyL121 Yes scammed. The one making money was alex jones from the yellow rock sellers for convincing nut cases like yourself. Maybe you should ask yourself why there are so many gold sellers (scammers) on the net particularily on blogs and youtube videos. Could it be that they depend on suckers like you to hand over your cash so they can invest it in instruments that earn dividends. I am an investor, son and you are a victim.
@lizardgizard2002 How do you figure I haven't made a profit by buying gold when it was at $700/Oz, when it is now at $1616/Oz? I've yet to come by a good investor who cannot do simple math. Could you be the first?
@RustyL121 I will humor you but by doing so I do not believe you invested in anything. Gold was 700 mid 2006 and now it is 1600. You do not make money unless you sell it by getting a quote. The quote will not be 1600, maybe 1300. Then less insurance, security and storage for 6 years you are left with 1000. Over 6 years thats about 7%/yr. Had you invested instead in one of my investments, Potash Corp the stock would be have increased by 300% plus monthly dividends adding more. 58%/yr over 6 years
@lizardgizard2002 Gold is money and so I haven't sold an ounce. I have no confidence in the dollar and so I am very happy watching the dollar value of my gold increase over the years. Let me be clear, I buy gold to hold it until I gain confidence in the dollar. You've made assumptions about insurance, security and storage too - none of which have cost me anything. Again, you're assuming I don't trade stocks as well.
You badmouth AJ on his videos constantly - very fishy for a big-time trader.
@RustyL121 I hate seeing people like you being scammed. I guess you did not absorb my previous comment about Alex Jones and the yellow rock scammers being more than willing to take your dollars in exchange for yellow rocks and silver trinkets. You will learn but I fear it will be too late for you.
@lizardgizard2002 What a ridiculous thing to say. Are you assuming that the people selling the gold don't need to buy things to live? Are you saying that they sell ALL the gold they own? What you need to understand is that they are running a business - there is nothing wrong with that. Why would they bother selling gold if they were not being rewarded for it? It's such a stupid argument to make that I've come to the conclusion that you are certainly not an "investor." You're simply a troll.
@RustyLYou will learn but I fear it will be too late for you. You are a willing victim of fear mongers and scammers and you, I am sure, will always be.
@lizardgizard2002 You mean like the University of Texas being fear mongered into taking delivery of $1B of gold recently? You people are so foolish if you think your cointelpro tactics have any effect on people that know what's going on.
@RustyL121 What would be the point. I have already told you that, from an investment point of view, gold is a poor investment. You choose to believe conspiracy theorist, fear mongers and scammers instead. So, you will just have to learn from your mistakes. If you do not learn but believe the same scammers over and over again, then you will be truely insane. Then you will blame everyone, the media, the government and the big bad wolf for your woes.
@lizardgizard2002 I can see the classic cliche terms used by talking heads and cointelpro throughout your worthless comment. What you're essentially saying is that I've been scammed, even though gold has increased in dollar value (because of dollar devaluation), whereby if I were to sell (which I would not atm) I would have locked in a nice profit. Hell, if making a profit is getting scammed, I'm about to contact an old friend from Nigeria!
Answer this: Was UT scammed into buying gold? China?
@RustyL121 believe what you want. I can't really help you if you are so brainwashed, so as I said you will have to learn from your mistakes. BTW did I say I do not believe that you invested in gold or anything else anyway. You better get back to conspiracy videos and blogs and dont forget to send cash to the campain of another loser, Ron Paul. Thank God, eh, you have the cult to reinforce libertarian and teahadist gobbldegook.
@lizardgizard2002 You're right; you can't help me, or anybody else for that matter because you don't know what you're talking about. You are completely foolish and I genuinely question your agenda. Your whole argument falls apart when it's evident that the University Of Texas bought $1B dollars of gold. Are you going to claim that Alex Jones scared them into buying it. You're a joke.
@RustyL121 Listen you hillbilly dingleberry, I know exactly what I am talking about. My mind, unlike yours is not warped by scammers and conspiracy theorists. As I said, you will learn eventually from your mistakes. BTW just for your information, the U of T did not buy gold, the University of Texas Investment Management CO did, and they did not buy it all at once but over a few years. The gold they have is 5% of their total portfolio. That is a good investment. 100% would be poor and risky.
@lizardgizard2002 So they wasn't scammed by Alex Jones into buying gold? Make up your mind buddy. And I would agree that you should not have 100% of your wealth in gold - which is why I don't. Again, you've messed up because you make countless assumptions.
I wanna say great job dealing with that troll.I tip my hat.
The thing I fear is who ever is spawning these trolls will get more clever in co-opting(lol).
I like to know what is the science they use.It seem so stupidly obvious that someone is not interested in real convo. But have no problem with name calling.
@lopytube Yeah, they use the science of repeating something nonsensical enough times that gullible people will start to believe it. They also use buzzwords like "conspiracy theorist," and "cult" to fool people into dismissing any information that goes against the mainstream propaganda. People like him are very sad.
@RustyL121What would be the point. I have already told you that, from an investment point of view, gold is a poor investment. You choose to believe conspiracy theorist, fear mongers and scammers instead. So, you will just have to learn from your mistakes. If you do not learn but believe the same scammers over and over again, then you will be truely insane. Then you will blame everyone, the media, the government and the big bad wolf for your woes.
can you comment on israels influence on making war at the economic expense of middle america? Would that open a can of worms for you and maybe even loose jewish clients?
All I ever think of when I hear people endlessly debate the merits or shortcomings of Alex and his influence is, it takes many people to make the world go round. Should his vocal supporters do a better job at not mixing their info and tieing that to Ron Paul's campaign? Yes, it is important to be diplomatic. Should naysayers of Alex learn to shut their mouths too about how dirty and dangerous he is to the cause? YES!
@DouglasReding Think of Alex Jones as a guy with a lot of keys to a lot of doors... He tells you what is behind the doors, and offers you the keys... It is up to you and I to look behind the door and seek out what we perceive as truth. He is a personality... Just like Shiff.
Alex Jones. No man alive has done more to sink Ron Paul's presidential chances. He and his fellow truthers and conspiracy theorists are anchors. They need to learn to shut their mouths, donate to the campaign, vote, and not act like loons turning off other voters that are needed for victory.
@8TheManWithNoName8 He is referring at times to the Bund, the German government's federal bond, short for the EU's attempt to raise money for bailouts.
My god Peter is a dogmatic moron sometimes. The reason half of the pilgrims died in the first years was due to settling an unknown country, disease, and crop difficulties. Such an idiot.
@kosmoincalgary - Yeah. He needs to check his history. Actually, though, the pilgrims' failure was lack of planning. They arrived in the New World in NOVEMBER! So half of them starved because they couldn't farm during the winter. The other have would have starve in the next year if Squanto hadn't taught them how to survive. He also give capitalism a bad name because after that first thanksgiving, the pilgrims just stole the land from the native people. The beginning of imperialism.
@MiranUT Yeah, and bureaucrats thousands of kilometres away always plan it wrong, because it is not they who starve or suffer, they are waaay worse the these mythological capitalists you demonize.
Can you please stop printing everything out? you're all for the "environment" yet you ave every thing printed on single sheets of paper. Jesus christ!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Peter Schiff was/is/always willbe wrong about history, economics and political reality. Gold would be $2000, $5000 soon he said many years ago. When is SOON I wonder. He said he would be Senator. That prediction went up in smoke. His investors all lost money in 2008 even with his vast knowlege amd predicting abilities. I guess that is why he is on a kooky conspiracy theorist program these days. Maybe they will believe him.
@lizardgizard2002 His investors all got their money back (and then some) the next year (and in fact it's a common theme in what he has always said - there's likely to be panic selling and a drop in everything but trying to time it isn't worth the risk).
I doubt you'll can find anything of him saying he would be Senator - he was never doing well in the polls and never claimed otherwise.
And gold was within 5% of $2000 a few months ago. The $5000 number is the dollar collapse end game.
@sjholden So you agree SOON is not here yet. Oh well maybe the year 2120. Hmm so he ran for Senate not expecting to be Senator. Fine logic that is. Maybe it was just to get all that donor money from the cult then. If he did no better than anyone else in 2008, how good is his investment advise and his predicting capability? Average? Below average? After all he had all that insight since 2004.
@sjholden yes, everything is timing. Depends when you invested with Schiff. I bought silver at 16, so even with this latest dip, I am still way ahead, and I expect it still to go down a bit, before it explodes eventually.
Too bad he did not win the Senate seat. I vote in CT, and well the state is broke and could not pay its electric bills when the big snow storm hit in Oct.
The govt is manipulating the gold and silver markets. There are lawsuits on the table, but good luck suing the govt
@0muffins0 Sorry but the other comment was not for you . Yes yes, but SOON is still not here yet after these last many years. $8500 is just another grasp at fear mongering and publicity. I can tell you what gold will be next year within 5% at any point in the year but my advise costs my investors a fee. I made my predictions for free to Schiff believers last year but no more.
@lizardgizard2002 With all the money printing going on around the world I could tell you where gold is going without charging you a penny. Up. By a lot.
Why do all ignorant, retarded moronic conservacunts seems to be loud mouthed, white as fuck, fat asshole, christians with stupid hair? I cannot tell the difference between this incredible ass crater and Rush Limbaugh.
Peter Schiff and Alex jones together, well well well. Who says Libertarians are conwspiracy theorists. Throw in Ron Paul and you have a perfect circle.
Sweden, Australia. New Zealand, Norway etc are all democratic socialist countries. They all have less debt than the US. They all have a fraction of the people in jail than the US. They have better democracy than the US. They have more freedom than the US. They all have free health unlike the US. Doesn't sound like failure to me. Maybe the US should vote in an evolution skeptic and a creationist like Ron Paul, that will fix things, yeah right and the Noah's arc had all the animals.
@movieklump I live in Australia, I can tell you that we have housing grants for first home buyers that have pushed the price of housing up to the point that my wife and I can't afford to buy a house on over 100,000 dollars per year. We have a corrupt government that gives the health care contracts to their friends and the service never gets delivered, we have babies being born in hospital toilets. Our economy is a big bubble, besides mining all we have is government workers. Your an idiot
@harrybath Australians are not wealthy we are in huge debt because of government intervention our markets. Most Australians have a $400,000 dollar mortgage, a credit card debt of $3000 , a car loan, on and on. We are a nation of debt junkies. Our democracy is a joke we have two parties, doesn't matter who you vote for you get war in the middle east, carbon tax, high taxes. Mind your own F ing business. And get an education you half wit
@harrybath I live in Australia and I love it. If you don't like it you ungrateful prick fuck off we'd be better off without wingers like you. By the way name somewhere better? I have traveled the world and for mine Australia is the best country in the world to live in. Because of Australia I retired at 32 and now just enjoy life so if you would like like a little cry, let me know, and I will send you a tissue you poor miserable little sod?
@movieklump Your a socialist and you retired at 32, gee how did you do that, by giving your money to the government?. I think your full of shit ! By the way I'm not crying I've been buying gold and silver since 1999. I laugh every morning I turn the tv on and see what these socialist idiots are doing to the world. Enjoy socialism you dick head, your another one of these idiots who thinks that Australia lives in a bubble and won't go down with America and the rest of the world. Good luck
@movieklump I know how you feel. Although I do not live in Australia, I do live in Canada and was retired at 35 and ever since have done whatever the heck I want. That to a large extent is investing in real estate and Canadian resources. I think my country is the best and can not stand these crybaby losers who blame the big bad wolf (goverment) for their bad choices in life. I love that we have free healthcare ang glad we do not have many evolution denying religious right wing radicals.
@lizardgizard2002 You either help people or put them in jail at a higher cost where they constantly re offend. The irony is most of these people who want a dog eat dog society are Christians who babble on about you should helping people. I have never been to Canada, can't wait to see it, from the images it looks incredible.
@NoisemakerArrow Nope. If anyone pays 40% they are aking bad choices or have bad accountants or advisors. But, I also do not mind helping my fellow man or paying my share of healthcare costs.
@CaptainZuluGamma Very good and very true. I worked hard for money until I retired at 35. Since then I do not work hard and yet I make more and enjoy what I am doing. I do not work for the money anymore but I don't turn it down.
@lizardgizard2002 Yah those RSA animate vids are cool I am 29 into silver/gold bullion(80K worth) these days with everyone owing each other money irrespective of goods or services produced to value newly generated "credit" (bubble leading to inflation higher than normal). I believe that small business economy is on its way money from stocks gains/divs/int. I believe in so does schiff, but not money from others debt swapping etc. thats not based in real economy which is goods & services right !?
@harrybath "housing grants for first home buyers that have pushed the price of housing up to the point that my wife and I can't afford to buy a house on over 100,000 dollars per year"
Bank issued mortgage loans typically accrue 100% interest over 25 years, i.e the banks double the price of every house, and you think a bunch of poor people who need a little leg up are making your would-be home purchase difficult?
If someone as... let's say eccentric as Alex Jones can figure out that free markets are better than communism then imagine how crazy Obama and the rest of the central planners and central bankers must be.
I personally have no problem with you being on with Alex Jones (I feel he also has a good radio show) and am glad that you are doing whatever you can to warn the American people of the incoming economic collapse and educate us as to the cause of the financial crisis.
You truly get a sense of how anti-intellectual Alex is when his whacky, useless comments and analyses are set next to someone who actually understands finance and economics. Peter, simply by actually knowing what he's talking about, makes Alex look the fool.
i'm usually very skeptical of Alex, and prefer not to go to him for my news, but i'm smart enough to tell the BS from the truth, and when he happens to have on credible guests, or say credible things I don't think it's a bad thing that he's able to reach out to many who wouldn't otherwise hear about ron paul and peter schiff. people must eventually think for themselves and not be afraid to make bad mental mistakes. quit being afraid for others, quit hating on Alex all the time.
Viewer from the UK here Peter, I will echo the stay clear of Jones comments, you have a nice solid base of support because you stick to the fact and don't take samples to fit your desired story.
Extend friendship to those who want it. Stop hating on Alex. Sure, he's a bit sensationalist at times, but we're all working toward a common goal of liberty.
he is an alarmist and his antics have destroyed a lot of his credibility. Still waiting for the nukes that were fired at on on New Years 99 he was ranting about! I mean he has coughed up documents etc that are legit but b/c is him no one will listen. The guy should fess up that he gets dramatic acts out for ratings and go legit. "I faked some it but Im done" Just admit it ya know.Saw a bunch of uploads on liveleak called the Alex Jones Deception... showing how out there he is
Alex Jones is a disinformation agent. Distract everyone from what is going on under their noses by convincing them that the "illuminati" is behind it. I appreciate Peter reaching audiences everywhere, but Alex Jones is a disgrace.
@DouglasReding Alex can be very over the top, I'll admit that. But to imply that he distracts people from "what is going on under their noses" is not accurate. Jones, imo, calls out everyone and everything, even when the dots don't quite connect. But at least he's calling out the the corruption of power in government. More than I can say about the MSM.
I personally have NEVER heard Schiff say that the commodities markets like silver are manipulated. Why is that? Also, he's running around telling everyone he's a peer to idiots like Corzine and the so-called 1%. Really? Schiff is an honest broker. Why would you want to adverstise that you are in the same league with the 1%, with the likes of Corzine and Blankfein? Also, I have heard Schiff state he is 80% personally invested in gold and silver. He's saying oil is great... what?
@Hyperborea2012 The Silver market is manipulated because of the price of Silver by JPMorgan and HSBC. Earlier this year or 2010 both entities were sued and the lawsuit is still in progress on how both companies keep the price of Silver artificially low. Google it.
@Hyperborea2012 You don't listen to Schiff at all. He has said repeatedly that commodity markets are manipulated by the biggest players. Talk about oil, that's precisely the example I'm thinking of, he was talking about the big players manipulating oil prices on his show back in February.
Peter, around 9:30 you start criticizing the OWS movement because wealth disparity is good as a motivation for people to make products and services that are wanted by people.
OWS isn't angry with Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos and others who have created goods and services of value. OWS is angry about the very crony capitalism that you call out as the fundamental problem. We need a wall of separation between government and state!
@ddstar I don't disagree with you. But OWS gets painted as anti-capitalist in the same way that the Tea Party gets painted as racist white supremacists. Peter shouldn't attack the caricature.
Actually there is a fair amount of regulation, but its only enforced on small business and little guys, they don't enforce anything if you have enough money to buy the government off or scare them off. Thats the real problem, the unfair playing field.
Schiff says they "borrowed" other people's money? The MF guy RIPPED OFF segregated accounts. WHY ISN'T THIS MAN GOING TO JAIL? If I take an orange from Walmart, they're not going to "investigate" first... I'm going to JAIL first. What the hell is going on with this country? The 1% are ripping off the 99%. The 1% are also socializing THEIR losses ie. making the 99% pay for their gambling and money addictions. The 1% are SOCIALISTS and at their very best engaging in crony capitalism.
@Hyperborea2012 Wrong. Its more like the top 1% of 1% of the 1%. We have a ton of billionaires who produce great products and services. Then we have the other small number who just get government bail outs.
@ddstar This is not a "bad apple" situation. They have taken in TRILLIONS of dollars through Tarp and bailouts. Also, the so-called Federal Reserve has purchased their bad assets for the same amount of money they had lost... not the real value of their assets, which would likely be 1 cent for every dollar lost. They have also gotten billions in FREE money and lent it back to the US Treasury where they make a guaranteed 3%. The thieves are not creating jobs, they are STEALING jobs.
@Hyperborea2012 Don't think I said anything about any of the points you brought up. All I said is that its the top 1% of 1% who cause all the problems.
I'm a little surprised Mr.Schiff confused communes with socialism... and the quote, to each according to need, from each according to ability. Is a COMMUNIST, not Socialist (there is indeed a difference) Socialism, in the simplest sense is the belief that the means of production should belong to the worker. The west sure has warped the definition quite a bit... Which means you can have competition in a socialist market place.. the difference is where the profits go and the motive.

@lizardgizard2002 How do you figure I haven't made a profit by buying gold when it was at $700/Oz, when it is now at $1616/Oz? I've yet to come by a good investor who cannot do simple math. Could you be the first?
RustyL121 1 month ago
@RustyL121 I will humor you but by doing so I do not believe you invested in anything. Gold was 700 mid 2006 and now it is 1600. You do not make money unless you sell it by getting a quote. The quote will not be 1600, maybe 1300. Then less insurance, security and storage for 6 years you are left with 1000. Over 6 years thats about 7%/yr. Had you invested instead in one of my investments, Potash Corp the stock would be have increased by 300% plus monthly dividends adding more. 58%/yr over 6 years
lizardgizard2002 1 month ago
@lizardgizard2002 Gold is money and so I haven't sold an ounce. I have no confidence in the dollar and so I am very happy watching the dollar value of my gold increase over the years. Let me be clear, I buy gold to hold it until I gain confidence in the dollar. You've made assumptions about insurance, security and storage too - none of which have cost me anything. Again, you're assuming I don't trade stocks as well.
You badmouth AJ on his videos constantly - very fishy for a big-time trader.
RustyL121 1 month ago
@RustyL121 I hate seeing people like you being scammed. I guess you did not absorb my previous comment about Alex Jones and the yellow rock scammers being more than willing to take your dollars in exchange for yellow rocks and silver trinkets. You will learn but I fear it will be too late for you.
lizardgizard2002 1 month ago
@lizardgizard2002 What a ridiculous thing to say. Are you assuming that the people selling the gold don't need to buy things to live? Are you saying that they sell ALL the gold they own? What you need to understand is that they are running a business - there is nothing wrong with that. Why would they bother selling gold if they were not being rewarded for it? It's such a stupid argument to make that I've come to the conclusion that you are certainly not an "investor." You're simply a troll.
RustyL121 1 month ago
@RustyLYou will learn but I fear it will be too late for you. You are a willing victim of fear mongers and scammers and you, I am sure, will always be.
lizardgizard2002 1 month ago
@lizardgizard2002 You mean like the University of Texas being fear mongered into taking delivery of $1B of gold recently? You people are so foolish if you think your cointelpro tactics have any effect on people that know what's going on.

@RustyL121 What would be the point. I have already told you that, from an investment point of view, gold is a poor investment. You choose to believe conspiracy theorist, fear mongers and scammers instead. So, you will just have to learn from your mistakes. If you do not learn but believe the same scammers over and over again, then you will be truely insane. Then you will blame everyone, the media, the government and the big bad wolf for your woes.
lizardgizard2002 1 month ago
@lizardgizard2002 I can see the classic cliche terms used by talking heads and cointelpro throughout your worthless comment. What you're essentially saying is that I've been scammed, even though gold has increased in dollar value (because of dollar devaluation), whereby if I were to sell (which I would not atm) I would have locked in a nice profit. Hell, if making a profit is getting scammed, I'm about to contact an old friend from Nigeria!
Answer this: Was UT scammed into buying gold? China?
RustyL121 1 month ago
@RustyL121 believe what you want. I can't really help you if you are so brainwashed, so as I said you will have to learn from your mistakes. BTW did I say I do not believe that you invested in gold or anything else anyway. You better get back to conspiracy videos and blogs and dont forget to send cash to the campain of another loser, Ron Paul. Thank God, eh, you have the cult to reinforce libertarian and teahadist gobbldegook.
lizardgizard2002 1 month ago
@lizardgizard2002 You're right; you can't help me, or anybody else for that matter because you don't know what you're talking about. You are completely foolish and I genuinely question your agenda. Your whole argument falls apart when it's evident that the University Of Texas bought $1B dollars of gold. Are you going to claim that Alex Jones scared them into buying it. You're a joke.
RustyL121 1 month ago
@RustyL121 Listen you hillbilly dingleberry, I know exactly what I am talking about. My mind, unlike yours is not warped by scammers and conspiracy theorists. As I said, you will learn eventually from your mistakes. BTW just for your information, the U of T did not buy gold, the University of Texas Investment Management CO did, and they did not buy it all at once but over a few years. The gold they have is 5% of their total portfolio. That is a good investment. 100% would be poor and risky.
lizardgizard2002 1 month ago
@lizardgizard2002 So they wasn't scammed by Alex Jones into buying gold? Make up your mind buddy. And I would agree that you should not have 100% of your wealth in gold - which is why I don't. Again, you've messed up because you make countless assumptions.

YES!

My god Peter is a dogmatic moron sometimes. The reason half of the pilgrims died in the first years was due to settling an unknown country, disease, and crop difficulties. Such an idiot.
kosmoincalgary 3 months ago
@kosmoincalgary - Yeah. He needs to check his history. Actually, though, the pilgrims' failure was lack of planning. They arrived in the New World in NOVEMBER! So half of them starved because they couldn't farm during the winter. The other have would have starve in the next year if Squanto hadn't taught them how to survive. He also give capitalism a bad name because after that first thanksgiving, the pilgrims just stole the land from the native people. The beginning of imperialism.

Maybe they will believe him.

panzer4u 3 months ago
@lizardgizard2002 His investors all got their money back (and then some) the next year (and in fact it's a common theme in what he has always said - there's likely to be panic selling and a drop in everything but trying to time it isn't worth the risk).
I doubt you'll can find anything of him saying he would be Senator - he was never doing well in the polls and never claimed otherwise.
And gold was within 5% of $2000 a few months ago. The $5000 number is the dollar collapse end game.
sjholden 3 months ago 10
@sjholden So you agree SOON is not here yet. Oh well maybe the year 2120. Hmm so he ran for Senate not expecting to be Senator. Fine logic that is. Maybe it was just to get all that donor money from the cult then. If he did no better than anyone else in 2008, how good is his investment advise and his predicting capability? Average? Below average? After all he had all that insight since 2004.
lizardgizard2002 3 months ago
@sjholden yes, everything is timing. Depends when you invested with Schiff. I bought silver at 16, so even with this latest dip, I am still way ahead, and I expect it still to go down a bit, before it explodes eventually.
Too bad he did not win the Senate seat. I vote in CT, and well the state is broke and could not pay its electric bills when the big snow storm hit in Oct.
The govt is manipulating the gold and silver markets. There are lawsuits on the table, but good luck suing the govt

Bank issued mortgage loans typically accrue 100% interest over 25 years, i.e the banks double the price of every house, and you think a bunch of poor people who need a little leg up are making your would-be home purchase difficult?

I personally have NEVER heard Schiff say that the commodities markets like silver are manipulated. Why is that? Also, he's running around telling everyone he's a peer to idiots like Corzine and the so-called 1%. Really? Schiff is an honest broker. Why would you want to adverstise that you are in the same league with the 1%, with the likes of Corzine and Blankfein? Also, I have heard Schiff state he is 80% personally invested in gold and silver. He's saying oil is great... what?
Hyperborea2012 3 months ago
@Hyperborea2012 The Silver market is manipulated because of the price of Silver by JPMorgan and HSBC. Earlier this year or 2010 both entities were sued and the lawsuit is still in progress on how both companies keep the price of Silver artificially low. Google it.

We need a wall of separation between government and state!
hawks5999 3 months ago
@hawks5999 True. But a lot of people on OWS don't want capitalism. They want more government regulation.

Actually there is a fair amount of regulation, but its only enforced on small business and little guys, they don't enforce anything if you have enough money to buy the government off or scare them off. Thats the real problem, the unfair playing field.
