Have you noticed that there is quite a bit of room for luggage when the body is tilted over when cornering. If you drive home on a really big tilt you could easily bring home all the shopping even for a large family. Of course you'd need to use some tie down straps to stop the luggage falling off.

What Gregor is referring to is the way vehicles are taxed for annual licence fee  Years ago the British & most UK colonies used a formula to put a rated horsepower on the vehicle. That's why you had Austin 10 Morris 8 etc Those figures were the "rated" horsepower which measured diameter of the cylinder bore among other things. Not actual power. When engines went oversquare with big bores license fees went up so changes to rating licence fees were then based on capacity or "CCs"

@greatgondor the reliant robin is still classed as a motorbike because of the engine. The engine power is measured in cc and not horse power.

@Gregor0the0biker - The "cc" is a metric styled measurement of cylinder size not power output. "cc" stands for cubic centimetres and has been the standard measurement since the 80's and very few still use the CI system. Horse power (in abstract terms) is the torque in relation to RPM of the engine. An engine with a lot of torque but very low RPM will be able to pull a lot of weight but wont be able to travel very quickly.

But put it in production with at LEAST 175+ bhp (200+ makes more sense), so it has some actual performance! In the U.S., we have some seriously busy Interstate roads, where passing power is a must.

Price point makes sense, about the price of a H-D bagger.

Yeah, after all the comments, I looked it up, it's a Vauxhall VX(R?)220. The Opel Speedster is a rebadge of the same car, but Jeremy DID say it was a Vauxhall. It was made from 2000 to 2005. Mid-engine, rear drive, either a GM NA or Turbo 4 145/197 hp. Based on the Lotus Elise gen 2. Jeremy might have a final year VXR 220- track-tuned with 220 hp.
