Agreed that Bessie is no Julie Andrews. She is in in the movie, "Nativity!" that, alas, was released only in the UK. (The movie also has Krista & Charlie of The Cheeky Monkeys from BGT 2008.) Her singing should improve with training.

Piers was wrong, though--at least so far. The stars of BGT 2007 turned out to be Paul Potts & Connie Talbot. It was easier for them, in a way--they're singers & cut albums, gave concerts, etc.

Bessie is still one of my favorites! She IS adorable!

Bessie IS a superb PERFORMER. She's not a great singer (no Hollie Steel) & a fairly good dancer (wonder what she COULD do without the heavy costume), but not many adults--much less kids--can put it together like Bessie did.

Bessie has fantastic stage presence--especially for one so TINY!--& the audience LOVED her. Simon was right--she's adorable, professional, charming, & entertaining. I'm no fan of musical theater, but I'd pay to see Bessie perform. She WILL be a star.

@Soyawannabeamasta Connie is beautiful but her voice still needs to be worked as she is only 6. Connie is very talented and so is Bessie. Keep in mind they are both children. Connie didn't came on stage to act, she came to sing and did it great. Bessie came to act and sing...and she is still young and her voice is in continuous change as she is still growing up day by day and she reaches puberty later. Meanwhile she will be trained. Talent is like an unpolished diamond..you have to work on it.

If she were an adult, this would be called "over-acting". It's played up too much just because she's a kid. If someone wants to see a strong performance of a child check out the originally "Annie" for true inspiration. This girl is all fluff. The only thing I really enjoy about her is her enthusiasm for what she does- that WILL get her far in life. She just needs to grow.

Okay, I love the song, but I hate how everyone's like "she's so good!". She's not a good singer. Look at some of the other kids on BGT and AGT and compare to her. The judges go easy on the kids.
