What difference does it make to Belle who John sleeps with anyway? I'd understand more if she was being upset on Marlena's behalf, but she's not. She's acting like he's betrayed her.
It bothered me too. I try to accept that a teen would act this way, but I really have trouble with it. She was so close to John. I think she'd be hurt, but I think she'd TRY to understand and think about someone other than herself.

I actually thought the writer's did a great job and that it was a good portrayal of how Belle should act. She thinks of her father as this hero that can do no wrong, she's madly in love with Shawn, hormones are raging and she finds out that her father betrayed her mother and slept with her boyfriend's mother. Not only that but she now shares a brother with him. She's angry because her "perfect" father ruined her image of him and has probably ruined things between her and Shawn.
@BeachBunny13 I agree don't get why people are judging Belle for being upset of her father's betrayal in a way is it is a betrayal to her since, he destroyed that image of the perfect father and husband

oh wow, belle is such a drama queen. I get why is she is upset and she has every right to be, but it is painful watching.

I like that Belle totally dismissed the part about Stefano DiMeria controlling them. It is as if she is willing to believe the worse of her parents.
