  • hey i think i have the exact same problem is the guy in the video. but it doesnt really hurt so much. should i get this checked out

  • I feel sorry for individuals like this. Not because of what they experienced because that's life, accidents happen. It's what you do after an accident. You have control over your body. Learn that first. You have a mirror, use it. Draw your left shoulder up and hold it there. It hurts but so does much of life. No one is going to hold your shoulder up for you. You have to do it yourself. It'll stay up in time.

  • very sorry a bout the length of the question.

and the strange order of the question. i would greatly appreciate ot if you can give me some information, or your opinion on what i wrote. cheers

  • i got up and stand bent over looking at the floor and king of shook my body and pushed my shoulder gently and it knd of swang and pushed back in plac. i now have a little lump , of bone, sticking out of my shoulder at certain positions, its shouldnt be there as its on my other shoulder, but alot smaller, maybe its something out of place? what would be your suggestions? as it doesnt hurt unless i move my arm in swift jerky movements or if i put my arm behind my back?

  • i sat out as it hurt. the next day it was a little sore and achy, but it twinged in certain movements or positions. but got better after a few days.

two weeks later, i was [playing again. and i got a fairly hard knock on my shoulder it came out and hrt alot.

  • Hi.

i have recently hurt my shoulder.

3 times in 3 weeks actualy.

    each time whilst playing rugby.

the first time my shoulder seemed to have came out of its socket.

im not sure it was dislocated, but it was deffonately in the wrong place, and it went back in by itself.

my arm went numb and weak for a while, but i carried on playing and it happened again, i landed hard with a heavy wieht on top of me, it happened again, this time mroe painfull and a little bit worse. i helped it back in.

  • Hi Eddyjawed - if your problem is an a-c separation, I don't think you have to worry. Most a-c separations do well without surgery by the way. What happened to this guy is rare, very unusual complitation and probably has to do with muscle weakness as a result of injury and surgery and should be correctable. Good luck

  • Hi Samuel, I just perused and found this video again. Unfortunatley following my shoulder surgery I reckon its been about 7 months. Although my appearance has improved slightly, I still have the right shoulder (the injured shoulder) dropping more than the left. When I stand up it looks as if I'm still sloping to one side, so unfortunatley the shoulder op didn't do the trick. I wear posture correctors now all the time when I go outside to try and look better otherwise it looks very odd.

  • You need to see an orthopedic surgeon or a physical therapist and get them to help you.

  • Hi Samuel,

I'm about to undergoe shoulder surgery again for my right shoulder which was seperated in a car accident. This video is scaring me. At the moment my shoulder looks slightly unsymetrical and I'm trying to get it corrected to be perfect but watching this am worried and don't want the same situation as this patient. Should I cancel my op?

  • hey i got one more question. is that means i have to do exercises? and will both of my shoulders be in same length??

  • thank you very much Samuelc987. ^_^

  • I got your message above. This problem is caused by weakness of muscles that control the scapula. I now know it's a "type 3 scapular dyskinesia" and the solution is to do a series of periscapular muscle strenthening excerises. I would refer you to articles written by W. Ben Kibler MD, an orthopedic surgeon in Lexington, KY who is an expert on this kind of problem and who I made the video above to show to. I am passing on to you his evaluation and rec for this patient. Best of luck.

  • i think i got this kind of problem too. my left shoulder seems a little bit longer than my right shoulder, but not as bad as this guy's shoulder. why's that? and how can i cure it?
