This whole album still effects me - one of those definitive teenage soundtracks. Parents getting divorced, splitting up with my girlfriend, smoking too much and dropping out of school. Playing it on my walkman over and over, getting drunk in a field. Awesome song; this one was probably my favourite.
I hardly ever listened to this one the first run-around. But I'd say, it's one of my favorites. I like how bold Becoming X is. It's just honest and willing to follow that honesty to a point that's too uncomfortable for most musicians. Everyone else tries to balance the miserable with whimsical happiness, to lift their own mood. But it's as if Kelli didn't mind being tormented. I don't think I could deal with that.
I had the pleasure of listening to this in 1996 or 97. I had not gotten into post-punk from the late 1970s and 1980s yet.... Looking back....after falling in love with the post-punk genre, and listening to this song, I cannot help but realizing "Walking Zero" was really a post-post-punk goth song. Siouxsie and the boys would have been proud.... Best song on the album easily. It was a shame Kelli left the band, even though the later "Bloodsport" was a good album.
Hey cybergeisha345, thanks for uploading this song complete and in good quality! Out of all the trip hop debris of the mid- to late-nineties, this is the one single best track. /,,/_
Badass song. Who's the one douche that didn't like it?

This album should've been in my collection from day 1. Man have I missed out on some epic music at times...

This song sounds so different from a lot of the music I normally listen too, but it is a very addictive song.

Wow. I look at the comments and no Kelli arguments XD. Great. Awesome album. Favourite song, easily. Almost.
