synthetic materials to replace the more traditional

bamboo and mud walls and a synthetic jurakudai.

sukiya style will cost between 330,000 GBP and 450,000 GBP.

I'm assuming you use a variety of woods such as

hinoki, sugi , zelkova, etc in the construction. How long must the wood be dried before working it ?

Are we talking here of traditional Japanese bamboo and mud walls,

and traditional plaster (jurakudai) ?

What is the cost per tsubo or per square metre of building a wood frame

house in Japan. For example, a house in the the sukiya style with a pillared

verandah....

@HaggisMacfee I'm sorry for the delay in sending you my reply. The cost of present wooden frame houses are avaragely 3000 - 6000 GBP per tubo, and the sukiya is much higher about 11000 - 15000 GBP per tubo if you need a real sukiya. It needs traditional skills for construction and natural materials. It' s possible to build 7500 GBP sukiya using not only natural, but also artificial materials. Thank you for your comment.
