The King Richard Petty's last race and Wonder Boy Jeff Gordon's first cup race. Both end up wrecking and end up Finishing 31st(Jeff Gordon) and 35th( Richard Petty).
"Never Have So Many Been This Close So Late" Is that a poop on Winston Churchill's Quote, "Never In The Field Of Human Conflict, Have So Many Owed So Much To So Few"? From Battle of Britain, My favorite movie. Speaking of Favorites, .38 Special is also one of my favorite groups. Great combo!
I didn't watch this race but I did get an autograph from Richard Petty in Virginia where I live, he was at a GM dealership which is now a KIa Motors Dealer. I didn't really start watching until about 1993 when I watched the 1993 Daytona 500. I never saw the 1992 battle for the title until about a couple of years ago. That was some battle.
this was the first winston cup race i ever watched live i was 11 yrs old then. man oh man this brings back memories. i wish nascar was still like this today.
Let someone who isnt run under the Disney name do a show of NASCAR. Hell let me do coverage. I'll at least break in for a caution, no matter the reason for it.
These were men. These were true racers.

Greatest race in NASCAR history. There have been a lot of good ones, but none comes close to this one.

The Speedworld intro brings back a ton of memories...I was like, 4 or 5 in 1992...miss the 90s.

The exciting part of the 1992 season:
A man has won a NASCAR championship with just a 10 point margin over his opponent.
The sad:
"The King" Richard Petty had his last season here, as an era came to an end after that.

ESPN should look at their past on how to cover Nascar
Ruddfan1997 4 years ago 3

Yeah unfortunately. Thanks Disney for screwing up ESPN.
KKFan9 4 years ago
yeah, thats why i hate disney, they try to give us this crap about how everything they do is perfect and magical, and then they screw us over.
