Wow, I love this...and I'm a tough critic. As far as I'm concerned, Rod recorded the perfect rendition of this tune. Having said that, this chick runs a close second. Love her voice and how she makes it her own. Also, there's such beauty in the simple piano/vocal arrangement. Bravo!

I feel for you.. My Grandmother passed away 2 years ago and she had this set as her ringback tone whenever anyone would call her cell phone.. not this exact version, but the same song.. She seems to trying hard to put her own 'stamp' (interpretation) on it, but she just adds a lot of notes that cover up the essence of the melody. Van Morrison is absolutely the only one who can sing and bring this song the way it is mend. Rod Stewarts version was discusting, every other version just isn't as good as it was mend. Noone should ever cover it, couse Van is the only one who can perform this song the right way.
