Ken Shamrock will not be fighting tonight due to a cut over the eye that he recieved during his warm ups. Instead Kimbo will be fighting 9-4 Seth Petruzelli.
About the only notable win Shamrock has had was against Dan Severn. He hasn't really fought any top MMA fighters. He couldn't even beat Royce Gracie who weighed like 40 pounds less and hadn't started to cross train in other disciplines besides BJJ. Shamrock = overrated. That said, I hope he does beat Kimbo, but I see Shamrock getting KO'd in the 1st.

About the only notable win Shamrock has had was against Dan Severn. He hasn't really fought any top MMA fighters. He couldn't even beat Royce Gracie who weighed like 40 pounds less and hadn't started to cross train in other disciplines besides BJJ. Shamrock = overrated. That said, I hope he does beat Kimbo, but I see Shamrock getting KO'd in the 1st.

This is the problem and why people do not like Kimbo Slice. You say the guy needs to fight creampuffs right, well why do you think that is? The reason is because Kimbo is a Dump truck. Sadly, Shamrock is the toughest fight for Kimbo so far. He beat Ray Mercer, who is a formerly great boxer. By "formerly" I mean the 1980's. He never won an mma fight. He won his last fight which was obviously fixed. A mosquito would have popped that ear. That was so ridiculous. No one would let that fight happen without draining it first. I understand that Kimbo may not be fighting any of these guys in the UFC, at least for a while because he is signed to EliteXC. But, the point is that there is no one in EliteXC who is that good which is why I mentioned the UFC fighters. Also Herring is a heavyweight, not a light-heavyweight. Also, I'm not just naming GUYS that Lesnar beat, since Herring is the only ONE he has beaten so far. Even though Kimbo might be a heavyweight, I'm not convinced that he would beat, Evans, Silva or Rampage.

What is it with Kimbo fighting all of these wash ups? If he wants real credability, then he needs to fight good fighters. Fighters like Frank Mir, Heath Herring, Rashad Evans, Wanderlei Silva, Brock Lesnar and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson just to name a few. Finally someone saw what I saw, In MMA, unanswered strikes for a prolonged period should automatically warrant a stoppage...It doesn't matter if the fighter is giving a "THUMBS UP" or whatever, if after a prolonged period, which in a match would probably be 45secs to a minute, the fighter recieving the unanswered jabs to the face can't find a way to defend himself, i.e. KIMBO, the fight should be ended...THOMPSON won the fight, KIMBO wasn't hurt or bloody but that isn't the point of MMA...
