I think DBZ makes for a far better fantasy world than naruto. Goku creates a great world around him and he fights for it with every breath, from the time he was a young boy, he travels to distant places in the galaxy and even the OtherWorld. Sayanjins are the most spectacular that's for sure.

it's imposibile to know who is better,because they will never fight.and yes,masashi kishimoto said that he inspired from dbz,but only 4 the main character,teh rest is 100% more original than dbz,because is far more realistic,and has a better storyline/Naruto rocks.and Goku too
