I know this is ahwile after posting this video but I did recieve a scholarship to Kick in college
I am currently in my Sophomore season, and the Varsity kicker. I am currently 100% on all field goals( and XPs) last game I went 3 of 3 for 36,43,42 yards. My furthest in college is 53 yards. And as mentioned in college you get no tee.
I am also the backup punter. and on Kickoffs (from the 30) I can put the ball in the endzone.
i would not recommend practicing without a tee and then using one in a game. plant foot placement varies based on whether there is a tee or not. My advice is to use a tee in High School (1") to help your stats. That is what most people have recommended to me
my furthest field goal i made this season was 52 yards in a game if u must know, im working on getting that video. furthest like this video above is now 58 yards.
furthest punt i had in a game not including a roll was 52 yards from LOS and had 5.1 secs HT
my furthest kickoffs were out of the back of the endzone
Its a three step drop back and it went threw the uprights its a field goal by deffinition. not worth anything yes because it was after a 2-a-day and not in a game. this video was to show leg strength on field goal attemtps.
Those aren't really field goals. If you're using a tee or other device and you don't have a line of scrimmage and defenders - it's more of a kick off.
The point is that they can't be touted as field goals since two of the major pieces of something being a "field goal" are missing. I get that he's not doing a long run up to the kick, but without the parts that I mentioned, there are few bragging rights to be claimed.
@bhxinfected Still, people should be proud of what they can accomplish regardless of whether or not it is in a game. And as far as the tee thing goes, the tee does give quite an advantage to high school kickers, so you I agree with you on that, that's why even though I'm a sophomore kicker I practice without a tee,

@bhxinfected Your still using field goal steps, if it was a kickoff it would go much farther.

@Fachete I wasn't hating, just pointing out the problem with the video title. You have a good leg, so keep up the good work bud.
