I wonder if OJ was already looking for the real killers at the time this video was filmed, even though he would not murder Goldman and Nicole Brown for almost another 20 years.
@dempsey981 You haven't? I can tell you why. He's presently sitting in a Nevada Prison for threatening someone with a gun. It looks as if Mr. O.J. will probably not see the light of day for quite some time.
I went to school here in San Francisco at the same time that OJ did. In fact, I ran track against him in 1964. He was on the Galileo High School track team and ran the relay. Man he was fast. And beautiful to watch. It's a tragedy what's happened to him. Oh well.
@spactick ha ha sorry about my sarcasm.yes i think we all know what happened to oj,and yes he will not see light o day for a long time.i think its more a tragedy as regards his victims than him though.was he a meglomaniac/socipathic type in high school or did that kind of evolve with his fame?interesting that u knew him.i would imagine he was quite popular and charming back then, that type often is.they say ted bundy was that way,tho i doubt he was as fast as OJ.
@dempsey981 Actually I went to City College here in the city when OJ scored 6 touchdowns (still a record) in one game. But I ran against him in High School when he was on the relay team. I'm sure how popular he was cus I went to a different school. But I do remember being so impressed by his unbelievable speed that I actually went to the program and checked to see who the guy was. And in fact I went over to him and complimented him. He had such skinny legs.
@dempsey981 (cont.) I can think of some funny shit to say, but it wouldn't be very respectful of the people who were victims of that piece of shit.
Funny thing though, I kinda feel bad for ol OJ. I don't know why. He's just a sad story. To think of what happened to him since those days back in 64' when he was in all his glory. When in just a few years the world would be his oyster.
I guess some people should stay away from shellfish. :)
@spactick classic narcisstic sociopathic charm .its normal that u should feel sad for him, thats how these types operate.they play our sympathys and vulnerabilitys perfectly, its a talent.search socipathic/narcisstic personality traits...BINGO OJ.try not to lose sleep thinking about it friend.he he.
@dempsey981 ha ha ha, true. although I wonder how much his former wife had contributed to that moment when OJ went totally insane? What's the old saying? "It takes two to tango" . You wonder how much shit he may have gone through in they're relationship? I'm not defending the guy, but it's funny that no one ever said a bad word about the guy before he murdered him wife. In fact, everyone loved him.
You gotta admit he was an incredable tailback. He's up there with Sayers, Brown etc;
@dempsey981 I see someone removed your comment. ha ha ha I guess they didn't approve of your opinion. But your right, there was a history of OJ beating and threatening his wife. And that is not something that anyone should do. Maybe he should have taken a walk. Or a run for that matter. I understand he was pritty good at running.
@asj619650 george foreman would absolutely kill quarry.... shavers had no chin, shavers was a piece of garbage compared with foreman who was bigger, stronger, more aggressive, more durable and he had a sturdy chin.
Don't forget, back in the 70's, boxers frowned on weightlifing too because they thought it slowed down their punches and caused arm fatique in boxing matches. Kenny Norton claims he didn't lift weights---hard to believe looking at his physique. But guys like Ali chopped trees down to work the upper body----they didn't lift weights. Apparently Quarry didn't either.
Yeah, but Quarry would knock out any of these guys in a heartbeat, including OJ.
What does weightlifting prove? What good is lifting a dead weight above your head. It says nothing about reflexes, speed, courage, explosive power, stamina, nothing at all. A mentally retarded goon could lift weights but couldn't fight in a ring because that requires thinking as well, if you wanna be good at it.
@tintinesk2 It is hard to believe that you have achieved a such degree of mental retardation or it is just the fact that you completely ignorant. Everything what have you mention in your post is untrue. Speed, courage, explosive power, stamina is a key for being successful olympic weighlifter. I would add mental toughness and genetic predispositions. Being hit to face by someone who can literally jump with 500 pounds is equal to death. Explosive power of these guys is beyond believe.
Baseball players back in the 70's didn't do much weight training at all. They were afraid it would mess up there swing, flexibility, etc. These guys were going on pure natural strength here. Though I'm surprised Jerry Quarry, a top 10 heavyweight boxer couldn't get 210 up.
HOLY SHIT OOJJJJJ

if this was legit, they wouldn't have mounted the weight but had the contestants lift the weight off the floor.

Jerry Quarry would have killed any of these guys in the ring. Fighters of the 60's
followed age-old traditions by their trainers one of which was to never lift
weights. It would slow your punches down
and make you "lob"punches overhand (see Mike Weaver and Ken Norton or
Jumbo Cummings). Greatest heavy to
never win a title. Dick Sadler avoided
Foreman after Jerry KO'd Shavers in '73.
