my hair is like exactly like yours except mine is like extremely thick... and curly.... and tangly..... and long.... but even when i cut my hair and it's smooth for the first couple days, my hair grows right back out. if you have any friends that have hair like mine... plz ask them what they do to keep there hair healthy cuz i use alot of heat and idk what to do.... :(

I use the heat tamer spray, and straightening gel. it works really well for me, you should try it. It's vitamin enriched and sinve i've used it my hair is much more healthy and shiny looking. No! When it steams up, normally, it's bad, cause that's what it does when your hair is still wet! But, if it's wet due the spray, it's the spray that's steaming up, but you're hair stays potected! I learned that once on school. So, it's not bad when the spray steams up, it's really not damaging your hair!
kerastase products are incredible first time I used them there was a huge difference to my hair it looked amazing. However it is expensive, but worth every penny :)

your hair tangles because you use a towel around it,. i know it cuase i use to do that all the time and my stylist told me that was the reason my hair was always tangled.
try it!! dont wrap the towel around your hair and you will see!
My hair stylist told me those heat protectors didn't work, and instructed me to use the hair blower and straitening iron without it and I have. Then again, my hair is natural and very wavy in the sense you described, and I have gotten compliments from the stylists. And yet, all I use is (and in this order): Shampoo, conditioner, leave in conditioner (all Garnier), blow dry it, and use either shine and gloss or bio silk before it fully dries. I think it would be better to use biosilk honestly.
i absolutely LOVE the got2be blow dry and straightening lotion i think thats what it is called. its in a orange bottle and i have your kind of hair and i use it EVERY day. i dont even need to use any other products. it is a heat protecter and it makes it soft and silky and it smells AMAZING. you can use it even if you dont blow dry it and it sorta straigtens it. i highly recommend it
its not good to wrap your hair in towel because the towel threads break your hair strands. you should use those Turbie Towels or let your hair air dry.
Steam when straightening is not always bad, its the moisture in your hair .Which is good, knowing your hair has moisture in it. (when I say moisture I dont mean like your hair being wet if you get me?) but If your hair sizzles thats bad, thats wear the difference is. so wait until the product is dry otherwise your spending money on product and just wrecking your hair anyway lol. hope that helped? x

i used to have a chi, and i got a babyliss pro iron for christmas 3 years ago, and honestly thats the only straightener i will ever use again hah. you do have to watch out for the heat, if you use the highest setting it will burn your hair so bad. and if you have thin hair it probably wont work best for you.

I always use a wide tooth comb, but if you start at the ends and work up to your scalp then it won't be as tangly and your hair will love you better! Promise!
Hey Elle!! You should definitely wait after spraying it on cause it should on sizzle and steam when you run your hot tools. Let thr spray dry and you'll spare your hair ends the extra damage.

if you have a wet to dry hair straightener it is ok to leave your hair wet but if you have a normal straightener you aren't suppose to straighten it with any part of your hair wet. it burns your hair if you do.
put the flat iron spray on, brush through it, put your hands on your hair like you were about to put it in a ponytail, shake it out, then straighten your hair, it wont go as dry.
If your hair is wet and you put your hair straightening iron on the damp hair it will hiss which means it is burning your hair! so if the iron is hissing after you put this product in i would suggest you wait till is dries. maybe your stylist might know? love your videos!
I know that stylists say that you shouldn't wash your hair every day but I do and I colour treat my hair every 4 weeks. My hair is soft and undamaged. Maybe I'm in the lucky few but I feel that washing you hair everyday makes no difference whatsoever.
Don't worry about having '10 years of damage. Hair grows an average of 6 inches a year, so you probably only have 2.5-3 years of damage to deal with. , in a year or 2, if you keep taking care of it, you'll have a completely different head of hair.
my hair dresser told me that the steam that comes off from the ghd when it reaches the product, is the poduct burning off, instead of your hair, which is what it would be doing if you weren't using a heat protector!

We have the same kind of hair, except mine isn't colored or tangly (idk) but I use TRESemmé anti-frizz secret controls fizz. Its a smoothening creme and it really works well. I also use Sauve Bio Ethics Reduce Split Ends conditioner. It's cheap but it works. :)

I LOVE Pantene Pro-V Split End Prevention it smells amazing the smell lasts in your hair and it makes your hair feel so silky and smooth it feels kind of greasy in your hands but it doesn't look or feel that way in your hair

you should try the Matrix sleek look smoothing system!! you should only get the conditioner because the shampoo has sulfates which is not good for colored hair!! ( IT MAKES YOUR HAIR SO SOFT!!)

iwhen i go out at night i love fomy hair to hav some extra body and bounce and along with you i LOVE sexy hair products ive been using them since i was like fourteen and working at a salon lol, but anyways i always condtion with some big sexy hair and then before i dry my hair i add in some curly sexy hair curl power spray moose around my crown and roots, also i absolutely love osis flatliner by schwarzkoft when straighening my hair

You should wait for it to dry. If you leave it 'wet' it damages your hair more, so just wait a little while the next time you do your hair haha.

you the special effect flat iron product your supposed to wait until it dries. your hair is steaming becase its burning, brush the product through your hair until its dry, then straighten

to anyone that has really frizzy hair and not a lot of money i use dove frizz control therapy shampoo, conditioner and taming cream. it has really helped my hair. my hair is crazy frizzy plus it makes ur hair super soft

the garnier fructis anti-frizz smoothing serum is like my cant live without product. i use it after every shower its awesome. my hairs heaps fluffy and frizzy and this makes it heaps smooth - its awesome :) it might only be available in australia tho...i dont know

your not supposed to flat iron your hair while a product is still wet on it. it damages your hair and makes it kind of frizzy, and if it steams its generally not good either lol

I always use a wide tooth comb, but if you start at the ends and work up to your scalp then it won't be as tangly and your hair will love you better! Promise!

Hey Elle!! You should definitely wait after spraying it on cause it should on sizzle and steam when you run your hot tools. Let thr spray dry and you'll spare your hair ends the extra damage.

hey elle to answer your question it's better if you let it dry before you put the straightener over the iron product cause tecnically it'd still be wet and when the iron goes over the straightener your hear the ' ....ssssss....' i dont think thats good for your hair

you have to wait till the protectant is dry cuz if u put any type of heat directly on wet/damp hair (other than blow drying ur hair, of course) it is going to burn it (: hope it helped!

You need to wait for the product to dry before straightening your hair. The steam will fry your hair.

if you have a wet to dry hair straightener it is ok to leave your hair wet but if you have a normal straightener you aren't suppose to straighten it with any part of your hair wet. it burns your hair if you do.

put the flat iron spray on, brush through it, put your hands on your hair like you were about to put it in a ponytail, shake it out, then straighten your hair, it wont go as dry.

If your hair is wet and you put your hair straightening iron on the damp hair it will hiss which means it is burning your hair! so if the iron is hissing after you put this product in i would suggest you wait till is dries. maybe your stylist might know? love your videos!

I know that stylists say that you shouldn't wash your hair every day but I do and I colour treat my hair every 4 weeks. My hair is soft and undamaged. Maybe I'm in the lucky few but I feel that washing you hair everyday makes no difference whatsoever.

Don't worry about having '10 years of damage. Hair grows an average of 6 inches a year, so you probably only have 2.5-3 years of damage to deal with. , in a year or 2, if you keep taking care of it, you'll have a completely different head of hair.

my hair dresser told me that the steam that comes off from the ghd when it reaches the product, is the poduct burning off, instead of your hair, which is what it would be doing if you weren't using a heat protector!

uhm okay. my hair is like exactly like your minus the coloring, and mine is super curly like MAJORLY. ha. and i straighten it everyday just like youu. and i just started using products also. so i have a questiong. i shower everyother day too. so in the morning i just restraighten it.. should i spary heat protecter then too? like i straightend it the night before and put chi 44 iron guard but idunno if i should spary it again..? hah idk if that makes sence? anyways i love your vids! :)

hey elle , when you use the flat iron spray , your supposed to wait for it to dry a little bit because it will cause split ends :)

i have the special effects flat iron memory spray thing too but i use it wen my hair is dry, and i do use queit a bit of it! then comb it threw and straight iron it and it doesnt relle steam that much, not nearly as much as it does wen i straight iron my hair wen its wet

One word for you, Elle: Morrocanoil. It's AMAZING. I don't usually feel particularly loyal or in love with products, but Morrocanoil made an immediate difference to my hair, it smells beautiful too! I'm buying it for everyone for xmas.
You just put like a dime or penny sized bit through your hair as soon as you take the towel off. It makes your hair really healthy, shiny, non-frizzy, and helps repair split ends/damage. LOVE! Use it, and let us know what you think :)

I also want to see your natural crimpy hair. I'd like to reccomend the do-gro products. I particularly like the leave-in (liquid) treatment. It helps repair damage and prevent more. It also promotes hair growth. And it actually works! You've said you really want your hair to grow, so you should try it!

We have the same kind of hair, except mine isn't colored or tangly (idk) but I use TRESemmé anti-frizz secret controls fizz. Its a smoothening creme and it really works well. I also use Sauve Bio Ethics Reduce Split Ends conditioner. It's cheap but it works. :)
