Secret of Evermore - SNES Game play (Real SNES)

so, barrier does not make you invincible in this version of the game? Is it just against alchemy? Because here in my german game, really nothing can harm you anymore once you get that formula. (Any) boss-battle became really pointless with this formula. On the other hand, one could use that evade and chance-to-hit boost on high level to actually decrease your rating, because the number was overflowing ^^

But nevertheless a great game, I especially remember the great athmosperic music it had!

@thehintsch Barrier pretty much protects you against everything in this as well, except for like the lightning bolts from this bosses eyes and the forced damage from getting knocked back. I guess those attacks just ignore all defense lol

@RetroSkye028 This game is more like a side-story. This game was made by an American team over at Square, who decided to make the game like Secret of Mana. Never released in Japan.

Im a huge chrono trigger fan and remeber trying to play secret of mana, had the cart and sold it on ebay , but didnt really care for it, thus i never tried to play this game : ( geuss i just like good ole turn based battle? i love link to the past though.....hmph? i dunno maybe i should give it another try.
