It'd be nice if everything was organic, fresh, and self-produced. Humanity needs to regain our survival instincts and learn to take care of ourselves again instead of relying so much on the "system" to take care of us. I'm also guilty of being" systemized" and wish I could live off the land, grow my own food, sew my own clothes...etc..I'd be happier if I could be "desystemized"!! Go Organic, Go Green!
Amen! I bought plums from my local grocer, I was impressed at how much bigger they were, than the ones I remember from my family's plum trees. When I got them home and took a big bite I was disappointed big time. they weren't soft juicy and sweet. Would they ripen in a sunny window? My community is surrounded by farmland with a few apple orchards. I sure will be shopping at stands the farmers set up every year. Thanks for this info. People need to know.
I need more fruit in my diet. When I lived in Honolulu, we had a tangerine tree in the front yard and it was really kewl. Neighbors would come by and eat right off the tree while talking. It was strange at first to get accustomed to eating something not bought in a store, but it didn't take long before I was eating them all the time.
Alright, Peter and Ella are rompin' around the Garden of Eden! Nice apple. I just prepared the soil for a small garden to be planted later today by the 3 kids. I got tomatos, zuccini, cucumbers, and the kids got some flowers. All organic, great soil and some fertilizer. Can't wait to get my hands dirty again.

yea, if it doesn't rot, don't eat it ! Apples aren't meant to be shiny and carrots shouldn't look like shiny orange bullets.
