@scannerDarkly77 Peter Jefferies wrote the original song, and Chan even mostly uses his lyrics (and he is credited on the album liner notes), but her arrangement is quite different. The Jefferies version is almost a drone chant, while Chan's version brings angst and drama to the song.
this is not a chan marshall song. peter jefferies wrote it. he really deserves credit. one of the most amazing artists ever.

I think i like chan marshall's older stuff. I love all of her stuff, but her older stuff is the best.
