  • Great song...cheers!

  • the best of the best

  • I like Deep purple from my 17-thins (1977). After this nothing serious in music did not happens. I still dont now any song of Lady Gaga, neither remember anything after this era.

  • enough that seeing people can only cried

  • This is, Reverse CHILD IN TIME!....

  • No comments "really" needed. ♫♫♫♫ ♫♫ ♫♫♫♫♫♫

  • It´s not one of their best ! But it´s one touching all our souls :))) That hurts ...

  • grande singer grande brano

  • You're right, Weaponx58... It was Black Night that was excluded off the In Rock album and I knew blind man was a Machine Head thing -- just brainfarted... lol. Other exclusions: Demon's Eye/Fireball sessions? Painted Horse/Who do we think we are! sessions? Good songs and all should've been on these albums ----------------------- cheers!

  • JUST POETIC.HONEST.

  • This is the best verizon of this song!

  • Ritchie said this song was not good enough to be on the "IN ROCK" album of the time, 1970. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this tune and would have made a great ballad for the band - glad to know they are performing it now, without Ritchie, of course. This version is great and I never tire of listening to it.

  • @1958marky This track was originally written and recorded during the Machine Head sessions, not In Rock.

  • Beautiful song !

  • best singer on the planet

  • @pemilord after robert plant..\m/

  • @Metallicaaa666 ok, good and Plant, but I love Deep Purple, and maybe a little subjective, and when I say that the best Gilan ... like it's hoarse voice ....

  • This a tremendous version of Blindman. Steve Morris kick ass on the guitar. It rivals any version Gillan has done with Deep Purple. Although I do love Steve Morse's guitar playing

  • wtf piano plays in major in aa b minor song???

  • de puta madre, joder.

  • Oh, I came!!

  • When a blind man cries live 2000 the orchestral version in rotterdam. best live version, ians voice is brilliant

  • Ian's voice very good....and Blackmore still with them. Thanks for this.

  • i find this music tanks Pierlu9dpm

  • i want david ):

Definitivno najbolji pevac i daleko najbolja grupa ikada.

  • Nice keyboard sound

  • Superbe et incroyable interprétation !!!! bravo

  • He is drunk!!!!!!!!

  • Can anyone dislike this?

  • @bieberMAN93 I can, but I'm not insane. J. Bieber fan? Interesting :)

  • @xyoop ???

  • a beautiful song!!! i love IAN GILLAN!!!!!

  • yeah ...ian...!!but who is the guitar man?it isn´t tony L. from b.sabbath?is he?infact:gillan did a lot of bullshitz after purple went trash but I like this this performance..........

  • @patrickport99 It's Steve Morris. He's been Ian's guitarist for years.

  • I love Ian Gillan!

  • Hey there! Just an FYI....this not Don Airey. This Tommy Eyre. Thanks.

  • This is the Ian Gillan band. Ian Gillan is still with Deep Purple, they are touring in the Autumn. Blackmore left in 1993 (if i remember correctly) and Steve Morse is lead guitar now and a very capable guitarist he is too. Jon Lord has retired and has been replaced by Don Airey, formally of RAINBOW and 'personally recommended' by Lord as the new keyboard man for DP. I have tickets for Birmingham and lets hope they've still got it. I havent seen them since 1993.

  • this guitar solo is perfect......!

  • Bloody great Deep Purple tune. No idea why Blackmore didn't like it.

  • Why did Gillan left Deep Purple?!

  • @Nikolabetterman isn't he with them right now?

  • @FahadOrfali1993 Well for some time Coverdale sang, and Deep Purple isn't what it used to be. Blackmoore is gone and Lord, now there are some other guys. :/

  • @Nikolabetterman I know what you mean, They did a few good albums after Gillan came back but then Blackmore and Lord left and they still do some ok stuff but it's not as good.

  • @Nikolabetterman Richie wanted to kill him. Still do.

  • @zarkov66 Lol! Seriously dude? :D

  • The Best vocal ever

  • terrific... legendary singer with a great song. And well, deep purple is deep purple.

  • Outstanding piano...

I'm greatfull that im born in a time, where i can enjoy this great music :-)

    Thanks for uploading this one

  • only 488 047 views???

  • @djanicar123 thats what it says

  • One and only, unrepeatable, unique Banshee voice, platinum soul,Ian Gillan, one of the spots in line that music is crossing.

  • Haha dude is always flat or sharp. Geeehhhh, it hurts sometimes.

  • Beautiful...!

  • 5:57 !! Very good performance

  • awesome song

  • If you make a mistake on the rating you can change ya mind by clicking the thumbs up.

  • I can't believe they're coming to my city!!! :D :D can't wait until the 21st of May...

  • Dreamy keyboards at the beginning, like an endless lullaby.

  • I love the song, the band and of course ....Ian Gillan!

  • Beautiful song, one of the best live performances of "When a blind man cries"

Highlight to the drummer with FLAMENGO shirt, even cooler!

    Just ... Perfect

When a blind man cries,

  • I believe Blackmore made an error when he decided to cut this one off machine head

  • The best version of this song, and of course has reiminiscenses of child in time

  • He looks like Bill Murray here.

  • The guitarist to me looks like Geoff Whitehorn. A player with great feel and tone....as you can see here! It's definitely *not* Steve Morse!

  • @MrBlagnac I saw him again in the videos done at Royal Albert Hall, the one that includes Dio singing part of "Smoke On The Water" ... the mustache is unmistakable.

  • great ballad

  • sounds a lot like sweet child in time you can sing most of the melody line to this song eny one agree

  • The guitarist is Steve Morris. End of discussion!

  • IAN THE ONLY ROCK SINGER THAT DARE GONE TOE TO TOE WITH PAVAROTI, IAN IS THE BEST ROCK VOICE IN ROCK..........SORRY ROBERT ( PERCY ) YOURS IS ALSO HELL OF A VOICE , YOU TWO ARE TRULY THE BEST , SO MANY OTHER ARE STILL VERY GOOD ,, ROGERS , COVERDALE ,, OTHERS FREDDIE, WE STILL LOVE YOU.

  • I was moved to tears.

  • ♫ Beautiful .... Beautiful Song ♫

  • can anyone tell me where is this concert was held? I want one of the song from this.. "No more cane on The Brazos"

  • @nikolozish It's from Ian Gillan - Live [VHS] [1990]

Actors: Ian Gillan, Tommy Eyre, Chris Glenn, Ted McKenna, Steve Morris

    Directors: Jonathan Glazier

Producers: Bob Carruthers, Duncan Smith, Elaine Roberts, Ken O'Neill

You can find it on Amazon.com

  • Guitarist Is not Tommy Iommi, not Steve Morris but Dean Howard!

  • @AXEFLYERFV Thats Tommy!! Or hes a total deadringer lol

  • @MrPietrasantino Are you refering to Tommy Iommi the guitarist or Tommy Eyrie the keyboardist?

I was refering to the guitarist, that is not Tommy Iommi like someone said!

  • @AXEFLYERFV I was refering to the guitarist. Hes a dead ringer for Tommy Iommi legendary lead of Black Sabbath (im sure you know that lol). He has played with Deep Purple (i know this is the Ian Gillan group) including the Royal Albert Hall concert alongside Steve Morse and DIO, Glover,Lord,Gillan, and Paice. I may have it wrong, im a metal maniac but dont claim to be an expert.

  • @MrPietrasantino ok, I was just pointing out it wasn't Iommi ,cos of Iommie being a left handed guitarists!!

& someone saying it was him or Morse!

thnx for repplying man! this is a great video BTW!

    take care!

  • @AXEFLYERFV Many thanks for clearing that up for me.

  • @MrPietrasantino You're very welcome!

  • @AXEFLYERFV Sorry, I meant to say Steve Morse not Morris!

  • - Hey mom, I'm going to beat down 21 people!

    - Oh really? They'll beat you down like a sandwich!

    - No I'm not going alone, I'm going 825 others!

    - Oh alright then, have it your way!

  • fantastic

  • Fantastic I listen them since I was child, their music is always live in our music.

  • Ian Gillan is absolutely the best. No song will ever be better than this

  • sound is beautiful

  • this is not blackmore

  • Fantastic

  • Oh God, cruel

  • simply awesome the melody and voice makes me feel

  • lol the keyboard tone sounds like something out of toys r us.

  • DEEP PURPLE!

JUST GET IN THE DAMN HALL OF FAME WILL YOU?

  • Yes, the keyboard sounds cheap. But who want`s to mess with John Lord...the keyborder surely knows in what footprint he stood there?

It might sound funny, but it`s much more easy to replace Richie than John!

There's another sound, of course, but it isn`t Deep Purple and I think there are worse covers out there.

  • KEYBOARDS SUCK AS HELL AND I AM WELL PISSED OFF

  • @SturmDang That was the keyboard sound of the early 1990s. Guess they wanted to keep in with the muscial mood of the time. I agree its not pure purple but it has its place. Gill's performance is superb. He dominated this piece. Rock on!!

  • IAN GILLAN, THE BEST SINGER OF THE WORLD***

  • great intro to keyboard!! amazing song!

  • @greatleahart That's Tommy Eyre who played keyboards there. He passed away in 2001. R.I.P.

  • @SilverTounge85 It produces a deep pain to me to know this news, I am crying, i´m sorry for spilling tears, but I sit very much pain for this great loss ... an excellent musician, Gary Moore has taken part with big musicians (, between others), thank you for the news, the not wise truth of his death ..... I sit down very badly ..... my deep respect Tommy Eyre.....

  • patoo 1000,you are right,i understood that just after my wrote...sorry!

  • That guitarist is not Steve Morris, but Toni Lommi is.

  • @763022 Sorry but it is Steve Morris!

  • @patoo1000 ,you are right!I understood that just after my wrote...sorry!

  • These keys are so plastic ;| It kills that beautiful number, Jon Lord part there was perfect...

  • the best of the best!!!!

  • The guitarist is definitely Steve Morris

  • @CurriedSausage the guitarist does look a bit like tony iommi, but the playing styles are different. I never even heard of steve morris until today. You Brits know your guitarists.

  • The guitarist is definately Steve Morris

  • thank you , cool stuff

  • AWESOME!!!!!!

  • de que concierto es esta cancion? that concert is this song?

  • I don't get tired of listening to Ian, the guitars, the keyboards .... all!

  • Anyone know who this guitarist in this clip is? He looks very familiar

  • @Pibbs1 Steve Morris.

  • @gleegerb ....Steve Morris is the correct answer - tell him what he's won Ian!!!!

  • @Pibbs1

The guitarist is Tommy Iommi (Black Sabbath)

  • @JHVermaat

    It's not Tony Iommi.

  • @hvfr1 That's right, my mistake.

  • Batera com a camisa do flamengo...viva Brasil....

  • Amo questa canzone

  • @TheZorbasmilla..a chi lo dici...semplicemente stupenda...hail..

  • Hard to believe that Ritchie Blackmore hated this song so much, that he never would perform it live with Deep Purple. Great tune!

  • R.I.P. Tommy Eyre (keyboards)

  • @SilverTounge85 Im a great JL fan but i loved Tommy's take on this song. RIP indeed Tommy Eyre.

  • awesone solo as good as the original solo.

Me equivoque. Sorry.

  • was lucky to see gillan in concert in the 80!s

  • How crap is that solo compared to the original? But this was still the point at which Gillan could sing. All his natural ability was destroyed later, after he had that vocal training. I'm sure someone got paid a lot of money for wrecking his gift.

  • @nessiebreath what vocal training? when?

  • Sounds great...with some obvious vocal damage

  • @2Rev1s1s1and4

    Are you def or what?????

  • nagyon jóóóóóóóóóóóó!

  • what have you done!!! the sounds are scarry!!! ugly!!!!!!!!! this song was sooooo goood with deep purple and now with this band it is only baaaaaaaaaaaaddd

  • @sempler101

Man, this is Deep Purple and Ian Gillan!

  • @IanGillanGurl

man this is not deep purple!!!

i can't see john lord, ian paice, roger glover.....

  • @sempler101

    It is Ian Gillan>>>>OK>>>>???!!!!

  • @sempler101

Could you see Ian Gillan or even listen him???!!! WTF

  • @IanGillanGurl This is IAN GILLAN BAND !!! And on the guitar is Mick O'Donoghue

  • @danngaina

Yeah, OK, thanks, I knew it, but I got pissed off with some comments!!!! \m/

  • @sempler101 WTF, >>>>:(

  • yeah.. i like this song

  • Only two guitar players ever to nail the solo's were the great Ritchie Blackmore and Joe Satriani when he toured with Deep Purple briefly.

Gillan's the greatest voice in rock history.
