tip for people who hate mining... only mine rich planets... there is enough resources to get from rich planets to satisfy every upgrade in the game, and it takes less time then if you mine poorer planets as well
I am currently playing ME2 on PC and mining is not bad at all, it's a change of pace from all the havoc. The real problem in my experience is the (1) Squad AI (2) Environmental Glitches (3) Game Crashes. I haven't gone a day with at least 2 of these so I can't say I'm getting the "best" experience from ME2. It's because of the first 2 of the issues that I welcome co-op in ME3.

so many haters. I loved both ME1 and yes, definitely loved ME2. I felt they improved everything they could in ME2, sure some things they shouldn't have gotten rid of (leveling is too simple for me) and I don't like how few weapons there are but if you like the story, the epicness of Comm. Shepard, making decisions you will love it. Only people that don't like ME2 are those that weren't real fans of this game in the 1st place.
If you import your character from ME1 or ME2 you will start off with enough materials to buy the major upgrades. Just do that and you never need to probe again. =)
2:38- Who else whants to do that to EA for removeing the Free Roam, Econemy, and the Percidium amung other things. (Yes, they should have kept the 1 minut sex sceens, and yes I am a pervert oh well.) No more Mako was a down fall, They have there own fanclub for christ sake! And the limited new weapons just all out suck balls. SMGs and the DLC M6 handcannon turns a Biotic into a just a soldier that throws shit. In comparison to the original game, 3 out of 5. Original game 12 out of 5.

I'd rather see an elevator conversation than 10 different loading screens. What was wrong with just 1 loading screen of the mass relay. Seriously though I die in 10 seconds after being brought back into the action, then I see a loading screen that last for 30 seconds. The 10 different loading screens get rid of those lol

Bioware has some sort of pattern with their games. In the begginning its kinda boring so im not really hooked but then there is this certain point in the game that is soo epic it gets me imediatly hooked. For example in KOTOR u becoming a jedi. Mass effect where u get the normandy. And dragon age when u get betrayed and start a quest to unite the various races to fight against the blight
With both Mass Effect 1 & 2 you need to sit down and complete first playthroughs over a few days. Not the kind of game where you can just play an hour or two then come back a week later. That was my mistake at first, I really didn't click with ME when I first played. But now its up there with the best games I've played. If you put in the hours, both games are very rewarding.
I have to say.... they dropped the ball on this game. It just didn't have replay value like the first and was too TPS. I don't care if it's a shooter with a few more grenade launchers, the story felt bland and was more of a filler than a sequel. I just hope ME3 isn't a travesty, considering they decided to change the gameplay AGAIN.
@nyuurocks No, they didn't! This is much better than the first Mass Effect IMO. I just like the characters more, the story progress well from the first to this one. There isn't as much of the RPG elements, but I think it's good as it is in ME2. But I can't wait for ME3, lets just hope they will top this game :)

@Osutin The elevator rides were hilarious and were nice downtime, but I completely disagree about the Mako. The vehicle physics were absolute bullshit. I do think that they should have revamped the Mako stuff instead of the stupid probe system, but still.

you can import you characters from each game so play the first game then play Mass effect 2 again things will be different depending how you played teh first will affect the 2nd and the choices you make in Mass effect 2 will affect mass effect 3
@thepackforever you played ME2 the experience is basically the same but it tells you more about the story and you actually have unlimited ammo (bioware never really explained that)

@erakus No, I tried the trial and gave it 5 Minutes. In that 5 minutes I flew a spaceship. It was cool for the first minute, after that I uninstalled. XD

Is this game REALLY that great. I watched a few videos of Mass Effect 1 and 2. The first one looks kinda iffy the second one looks good. I'm kinda into RPGs. I really liked Fallout 3. Should i actually get it?

you can import you characters from each game so play the first game then play Mass effect 2 again things will be different depending how you played teh first will affect the 2nd and the choices you make in Mass effect 2 will affect mass effect 3

@thepackforever you played ME2 the experience is basically the same but it tells you more about the story and you actually have unlimited ammo (bioware never really explained that)

@ointment500 I see...I probably never saw a sex scene because I didn't do any side quests really...I finished the game in like 16 hrs or something. I'm replaying it though and I'm going to do all the side quests even though most of em seem boring.

@ointment500 yeah on planet virmire when he saysyou shouldnt destroy the genophage. You can charm him, or do his sidequest wrex family armor and say the right things you dont kill him. you get it by talking to him occasionally, or you can go to tuntau or what ever its called (its a planet idk where) and when you go into the merc base he
