Please help me the same problem has happened to me and I really need to get it fixed asap as I've got a lot of important files on there of sentimental value and I need them back. I went to the SE website but they don't even have the update service or downloads or any page for the W810i can you please send me a link or something?? I really need your help and would appreciate it greatly. Thanks.

It's really easy to fix!!! I Had the white screen of death after taking my phone out of my computer when it had not finished downloading all the files it was set to do. I fixed it by going to the support section of the sony ericsson website and downloading the sony ericsson update service. Then choosing w810i from the list. Then re-downloading all the original firmware to my w810i... you can do this for any sony ericsson phone, if your encountering problems. best part is it's FREE!

after downloading the updater, chose your phone from the list and follow the instructions. the updater tells you to press and hold the c button at your phone before connecting it to the pc.if the c button doesn't work, try to hold 2 and 5, it worked for me. then follow the instructions and start the update. wsod should be fixed after that. good luck

I have a sony Ericson W810i i got it off my cousin. He says it got diped into beer PMSL so i think this is a type of liquid problem.... the phonew turns white and after about 15 secs it goes black again..... :( i don't know how to fix this and i seriously need a answer to this... Thanks

i got 3 sony ericsson w810i, and 2 of them have the white screen problem, one of the ones with the screen problem flashes white and the other stays white, and im wondering how much would it be to fix the pair of them at a phone shop?

you should have just connected it to the computer and update the software the previous faulty software will be deleted and the new put in and then problem solved

man did u hack it seriously dude its hard to get the white screen of death and its easy to fix white screen is basically your gdfs ur gdfs is your mobile phones operating system like system 32 in windows just use seus it will format the gdfs and put an updated version on if that dont work xs++ use that and put a main and fs google it if that dont work ur phone is basically a brick and u did hack it so sony will not put warrinty on it jut hope to god u diidnt try to flash it

I had worse! my phone went totally dead 100%. I flashed it with XS++ no luck, Flash it with SEtool2 and it works, how weird- i also flashed it with same firmware so how the hell can 1 software say no and another say yes?

Same here I had my W800 for about 2 years now as well and love the phone no prob, my orange thing fell off too :( but doesn't look bad though. The C and Back buttons got scratched up a bit.

SE refuses to give me a new sales pack or refund. What i was offered was another used repaired phone,feels not good because i do not know the history about this replacement phone i now are recieving. What i do know is that my well taken care of,but defective, telehone now are being replaced with an unit that might have been dropped from a table or perhaps full of scratches.Doubt that i will ever buy an SE again!
