I wouldn't call this a horror, looking back, its deeply sad. Natasha's mother and father just abandoning her and Dahlia sacrificing herself for her daughter. It is all the parent's fault and the children suffer. Ceci's parents divorcing caused them to move, so if they hadn't got divorced none of it would've happened, and if Natasha's parents cared, she might still have been alive, not left for a year in a water tank.

i hate movies that adds children's nursery rhymes, sung in an eerie, child's voice. it's so cliche and stupid, in my opinion. and most of the time, it doesn't even have any relevance to the movie. either way, having it in is so dumb and annoying. but that's just my opinion.

I know what you mean though it has been a common thing in many horror movies to use the same recycled stuff over and over. It's hard to find a good original horror movie these days, that don't use cheap scares and gimmicks to scare us, if you want a good horror movie sort of like that, then watch Grave Encounters. It's a pretty good movie with interesting horror aspects.

@princesstoadstooool Yeah the Asian version of movies are always the best ones, such as The Eye. Hollywood took it and turned it into a crappy American version, when the Cantonese version was so much better! I noticed in Asian horror movies they don't scare you with stupid CGI, they either drag out scary scenes or leave you wondering what the ghost/monster looks like. Big budget horror films don't leave you any room to think for yourself or leave you in suspense, in my opinion...

@mr2prince1 asian movies are abit repetitive, but i do prefer them as well. i most recently watched a thai horror called Alone and it was really good. yea, i guess the best ones are the ones that leave the imagining to you and let your fears create the monsters.

This was such a good movie.. Watched it 2 weeks ago... So dark... somewhat creepy.. keeps you in suspense at some scenes.. I cried at the end where Cecilia is crying in the apartment, remembering her mom reading to her..... A movie definitely worth watching again. T__T

@777Kiana my friend told me to never watch the ring cuz is so scary (im somewhat young not like super young but anyway) i was wondering if this is as scary or scarier than the ring (or the last exorsism that didnt really scare me the only thing thats scared me about the last exorsism was when they ripped out her baby and it was like satin and they threw the baby in a fire it made me so sad cuz u heard it screaming and it was sadd :( i ahte when people scream)

I've actually never seen The Ring, but I have heard of its scare to people. Good horror movie... Um, this movie is probably "not as frightening".. Its good.. The only scary moments are when the girl appears in the water tower, and when she's trying to drown the mother's daughter and such. Not like The Ring or Paranormal Activity. Good luck ♥

@Zegers06 it's because most movies that are like that are based off Japanese movies. In Japanese mythology a person who has died with a grudge in their hearts will return as a kami and seek revenge. And kids are by far the most emotional human beings ever, they capable of great grudges or great forgiveness.

The American version doesn't seem to really have this scary scene(it's just using more money). Although it has a lot of "surprising scene" which is not something I look forward to watch. "The Ring" especially had so many of those it almost made me laugh because of how childish the idea was.
