  • Simply the best mane!!!!!

  • thumbs up if unsung brought you here

  • anyone who questions his vocal talent here - you try singing these highly techinical tracks at his age in life - all vocal chords age with time - he sounds GREAT for his age - full of character and depth!! Just listen and enjoy ;-)

  • Love this man - Legend XxX

  • what u hear is years of drug use. messed up his vocal chords.

  • Hes a shell of his former self. Sad to see to see him here, his voice has deteriated much. Kinda like seeing ali's last fight. didint have it anymore.

  • Bobby womack lost his beautiful strong soulful voice. He sounds like a tired hoarse voice old man trying to sing. sounds bad, but if u love him u dont care.

  • @veeseee128 It's still better than 98% of what's on the radio...the voice has the character of what he has been through....

  • @djad10 yeah but he sounds bad hear, but I still love bobby. I have all his albums from the 60s and 70s.

  • Just to say that to make this type of song you have had to experience it up front. Left hand , right hand whatever guitar. it's the song , the lirics and just the goddam honesty . Technique yes important , but the hardest thing in creating anything is the feel . Brilliant .

  • its the way it sounds, so many idiots want to know how its done sheesh

  • Oh my Mann! This songs are just perfect when Bobby singz it!

He's a Hero for a lot of people! Everyone knowz that man! he'S Soulfood to a hole Generation!

Even I know Bobby Womack! And i'm just fuckin' 26 man!

    Great Great BOBBY WOMACK!!!!

  • on Mike Patton (Faith No More/Mr Bungle/Peeping Tom) cover of this song on Youtube all you hear is fans worshipping him and when someone posys Bobby Womack in the thread, they're like "Who??"

  • Bobby is one of our unsung heroes. He's an original, there is no one else with a voice like that. Right handed upside down. That's right. Jimi Hendrix played upside down left handed. Upside down guitar is not easy. You go, Bobby Womack!!! I love him.

  • Hendrix didnt play upside down guitar. True he did use a right handed guitar for playing left handed, but he still strung the guitar normally. eadgbe, Womack plays with the strings reversed... some people like it that way coz you can reach different notes (Usually lower) more easily.

  • Actually... Mr. Womack is playing the guitar upside down. Look at the pick guard. It is above the strings when it should be below them.

  • maybe hes left handed and this is the only guitar he had...so he played it? hmmmm

  • That is exactly what happened. I read his auto-biography - a really great book if you fancy a read. Get a copy on amazon or ebay. You wont regret it.

  • Yeah that's what i was about to say haha. It's a standard (right-handed) guitar but it's upside down. The 6th string is at the bottom instead of the top. Never seen that before. I don't really listen to this kind of music but i love the way he sings and plays!

  • Albert King used to play his guitar like this, too.

  • Hey - he's playing a right-handed guitar upside-down!

  • 5 stars + favorited

  • remember this from the end of the movie "jackie brown" accros 110th street. chilling. Wonderful

  • incredible. remember, this is only an acoustic guitar and a voice. amazing

  • That was hit as shit. Congratulations to the new hall of famer.

  • Great clip, thank you so such for uploading this :D

  • dude can blow

  • great vid, you can just see he is putting pure heart into it, not like many artist of today who just dont give a shit.

  • Bobby Womack for President!!

  • incredible !

  • cudowny głos. męski, dźwięczny i z tą zadziorną chrypką. a piosenka niesamowita!

  • the guitar doesnt sound so good, but his voice is fantastic

  • How does the guitar suppose to sound?

  • Actually I'd agree that the guitar sounds a little weak. But hey, I give this clip 5 stars anyway. Soul out the ass!

  • Wow. I never knew this existed. This is the GREATEST THING EVER.

  • I'm so glad I found this!! OMG! Bobby is the man. Especially love the unplugged 110th St. I was singing this song when I was in hi school and my mom hated it. I didn't really understand it then but now I do! Great storytelling.

  • His voice is amazing.

  • all positve resonses are from smart people

  • responses

  • I'm I seeing right; he's playing lefty and he simply took a righty guitar and is playing it upside down? Interesting ...

  • that's called sheer genius! The Man is bad!

  • not to mention soul

  • Great songs

  • best songz ever!

  • man is a god

  • doesnt anyone kno wat this chord progression is?

  • congrats on getting into the rock n roll hall of fame. Very much deserved!!!!

    this guy is a legend

  • fuckin epic voice

  • Great version of a great song!

  • Excellent post my friend..Dreamin was written by John Phillips. Bobby's dad was a minister... He and his brother the "Valentinos" got their start with Sam Cooke. Bobby was Sam's prodigee. He played guitar and wrote a few songs for Sam before Sam was killed.Bobby wrote "Breezin" a sung that George Benson made popular. He was a hell of a guitar player.

  • SOUL BROTHA !

  • Across 110th Street without oryginal music doesn't sound as good

  • this is an amazing rendition of both songs. what alot of people dont know is that he wrote california dreamin.

  • i think it was written by john and michelle phillips.. but you're right it is a great version.

  • "or play the guitar the right way up..."

Erm... he's obviously left handed lol

  • his voice is not as crisp as when he was young

  • Comment removed

  • you are so right, he kicks all of these so called r'n'b singers today, and even those fools who claim to be gangster they have nothing on mr womack, even his name is cooler than all the rubbish today and what voice, and he was niot the third brother, he is number 1

  • Sorry was tired, meant Lil Wayne, but nothing personal, just hate new "rap".. Stenkballas, well said!

  • he is wonderful. and not you fucking fucks will tell him how to play guitar. ;)

  • i love that some shit you just cant learn

  • FANTASTIC!

  • bobby womack wins

  • Bobby at his finest doing what he does best, givin the squares the lowdown on 110th Street...

  • Great, but I think he should've went faster on across 110th Street. Even if it wasn't what I call perfect It's still on my top 10 favorite songs.

  • I LIKE that he went slower on Across 110th Street. With all due respect, we can always listen to the CD for the original, faster version, right?

This time, years later, it sounded nicely aged, nostalgic, sad, and wistful. Almost fits it better!

  • He's playing the chords upside down, give him a break.

  • He was a studio session guitar player, you stupid idiot. Yeah, he should learn how to play guitar.

  • well he should've utilized those skills for this performance. muffle the strings that aren't part of the chord!
