Amazing video. Great vantage point. I loved every second of it. I really wish they would host something like this stateside. Imagine this, but with giant american steamers!
Not to say that the smaller ones in this video don't put on just as grand of a show.
The race was an hour late when I went a few years ago. I was behind 3830, racing one of the new hunter railcars. I think there was a problem with its boiler, but we where flying along at times. I wish I hadn't deleted the video. It was a nice sunset finish. This looked pretty fun as well though:).
I'm not being negative but this couldn't have been any faster than 80Kph because the water gin behind the 32 is limited to 80 KPH due to it's freiht bogies still looks like great fun wish i was there
