@trueleroix I follow both sports so i can chime here. A rugby tackle is supposed to be an arm wrap where you get low and absorb the runners leg into your chest/shoulder and wrap. In truth, the game is more collision aggressive now, but some refs will penalise when its flagrant, meaning no attempt is made to extend arms out for wrap, or shoulder is led into chest or higher. Tackles in both sports are similar really, its BLOCKING that seperates football. Its like running through traffic.

American football is geared up for whole body tackles, what with the helmet and the shoulder armour and the increased pace (once they get going) but Rugby isn't just "wrapping up and bringing down" the physical side is as tough if not more so, as the game is free flowing, just watch two of the worlds top Rugby teams playing at the top of their game, it's brutal. I love the tackles in the NFL hence why I'm watching this by the way!
