  • thanks for your instructions - really helpful! i dropped the laptop and lost about a third of the screen - black stripes- then over the next few days the rest of the screen went, It came back once. My screen is now white with lots of coloured vertical stripes - do you think it does need replacing or could there maybe a loose connection? i already tried pulling out the cable and putting it back in. Any help would be really appreciated - thank you! .

  • thanks, Bro - you are a star - helped me out big time!

    cheers!

  • Thanks for the help it helped me out a bunch

  • thanks, fix my screen thanks for the advice. london

  • EPIC instructions! My netbook has had a dead screen for ages! But was hesitant to fix it myself! The backlight was fine but had no display. Shaking display though made it occasionally display properly so I knew it was just a loose connection. Took the display out, unplugged the ribbon cable and plugged it back in and rebuilt it. Now its great and working again! Great work! Thanks alot! My warrantee was out a year ago so that was not an issue! Would have cost £100's! Subscribed! You're a legend!

  • Great instructions. Now I'm encouraged to purchase the replacement screen.

Made me laugh when I see the reflection of the videographer through the screen of his laptop. Great idea to attach the video camera to a head strap.

  • The video instructions are very good. Follow them and you will have no problems. Be sure to verify that the replacement screen you order is the same part number as the one you remove.

  • very nice instructions. was incredibly helpful

  • Thank you so much. Your directions are clear and they worked like a charm. I have ordered a new screen. Now, if I can only install the new one as easy as I removed (with your instructions) the old one.

  • very instructive video, note that some of the replacement screens come with new brackets, so you don't have to remove the side screws

  • Seems pretty simple. Wish I would ordered it myself and done it rather than pay 240~ to get it repaired elsewhere..

  • Thank you so much - I would never have been able to do it without this. You would think there would be something at the asus site, but nooo.

  • Thank you sooooo much! The screen on my Asus EEE PC 1005HA cracked and without this video, I wouldn't know how to replace it.

  • just used this video to fix a loose connection on the wire tape on the back of the screen. It came back from being repaired and had the problem of the screen going haywire unless i keep pressure on the back of the case. Took it apart, pulled out the screen, reattached it firmly and it works right as rain. everything is in identical configuration and im using an eee pc 1005p.

    thanks!

  • Trust me to break one with a pricey screen!!! Arrg! =D

  • can you replace a screen on a asus x50v??? i see no obvious screws like yours!

  • @abradym02 I haven't worked on a X50v. Sorry.

  • What screen is 10.1 or which one I have da same computer an d I forgot the screen number

  • thanks
