Awesome! Beautiful expression and complexity in this song. I get why some people might diss this music, you need to understand something of the origin, and then to appreciate that origin. If all you know is Justin Beiber or Kasha this music would sound so uncool. F that bubblegum pop garbage! Wanna know real blues roots listen to Robert Johnson, not Jack Johnson. want to hear real european roots music? Yoiking is one of a small number of genres to explore.
@Pingvino2232 To bad ur six feet under then. Ohh shit! I'm talking to a corpse. If you don't like why are you even watching it. Do you really have so much free time you have to find vids on youtube and talk crap about them.
Man I gotta say it must suck to be you then. Have a god day sir!

@mrtimmi47 first of all, I lisntened to this shit 'cause there is a moron on our school named Adja. So i found "adjagas" and i wanted to hear how bad it was. It was horrible. And im not a "sir". Im a miss. And it doesnt suck to be me. I wonder who you are? No, by the way, i dont want to know. Im sure youre as bad as this song.
We Sámi were the first Europeans - the first non-Africans, some 60,000 years ago. Life changed little for 59,000 years. We were very peaceful, never needing to conquer the land from earlier human settlers, for there were none. Great boat builders too - maybe the Vikings got their marine knowledge from us. Some of us arrived in the UK with the first wave of Norwegian vikings, if not earlier.
I said boats. I didn't mention ships. Though Norse Saga “Heimskringla” mentions Såmi as builders of 24-oared Viking ships. “It is said that Sigurd made the Laplanders construct two boats for him during the winter up in the fjord; and they were fastened together with deer sinews, without nails, and with twigs of willow instead of knees, and each boat could carry twelve men." Sigurd was with the Laplanders while they were making the boats; and the Laplanders had good ale..."
Languages and tradition such as this should never be lost in history. I love the Adjagas are out there with other Sami joikers bringing it to the world.
GRACIAS AL CREADOR Y A ADJAGAS POR CONTINUAR LUCHANDO PARA NO SER UNA CULTURA PERDIDA Ú OLVIDADA EN EL TIEMPO DE EL HOMBRE Y LLEVARNOS Y LLENARNOS CON LAS RAICES DE SUS ANCESTROS ATAVEZ DE LA MÚSICA. ¡¡¡¡¡¡GRACIAS ADJAGAS!!!!!!!
I get it as a kind of a mourn for one, nowdays lost culture (of Sami people). Very well done music video, made me feel for them (and in the same time for the all indigenous cultures being swallowed by ruthless globalization).
Maybe u did'nt meen it.. But the Sámi as a whole are not lost or disappeared. Those closest to the southhern powers faced the harshest destinies. We still fight for existence!!

Some of you people probably think the Saamis are of mongolian or asian decent or something.
They really belong to the white race. They look a bit asian but thats because both their ancestors and asian ancestors developed their apperance in similar climate, but they did it seperatly... (Remember - sharks and dolfins also look alike)
I predict a day where the Samis will join together and demand independance from Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia. I promise that on that i will stand by your side in support. The suffering the Samis have gone through in all the past centuries reminds me of the sufferings of my own people. Hang in there Sami people, teach your children your language and traditions and history and culture and keep your heads up, your day will come! themassacred dot com
omgggg! i dont like this song, excuse me for having my own opinion...
Pingvino2232 4 months ago
@Pingvino2232 There's nothing wrong with having an opinion. But if you insist on shoving your opinion down everyone's throat, poeple will get annoyed.
And posting on videos you don't like is retarded, not to mention waste of time you could spend doing something better than bitching and whining

I think 3:30 was the most meaningful part of this whole joik/music video.
If I'm not mistaken, "Mun ja mun" means "I and myself". I wonder what that's significant of...
Anyways, great song! Thanks for sharing.
