New Jersey only cares about emissions. This year car is 94, So no need to plug it in for anything to check the computer. Just put the emissions test pipe in the exhaust and since the number on emissions was better the stock emissions motor I get a pass on the tests for inspection.
@nissanaltima94thats cool, we cant do stuff like that here in north carolina, it sucks, only way we can do a engine swap is if the car also had that engine as a choice when it came out, and then u have to change wiring, computer and all out just to get it to pass inspection, and the older vehicles....well now thats a different story lol we can do all the engine swaping we'd like on them.
If you had a 93-94 nissan altima you should have no problem doing this. Now 95 and up that is a different story. See OBD 1 car like mine from factory, motorvehiclse can't plug it in to see if the car has problems or see if all sensors are working. Even though I have and obd2 motor swap in there now they can't check that because the car chassis and original electrical harness is prior to obd2. They really don't care what motor is in there only if the car passes the sniff test.
this is bad ass,was this hard to do? Did you have do modifi anything? If so please let me know and what cause im thinking about doin this! Great job BTW
is it street legal with a engine swap like that, just didnt know seeing how the car never came out with that engine?
