I was only one when this was aired, but i think it was aired again afterwards because i remember it... Dear god i can remember staying to the centre of my single bed as a child because i was convinced podge and rodge would get me and my teddy otherwise.... Amazing how much influence this show had on me as a child!

The Den was such an institution for children of the nineties! Rubbish nowadays, yer one from Six and some ginger one presents it.  Ray D'Arcy was the best! I remember Podge and Rodge scaring the shit out of me one Christmas Eve. Don't think it was this episode though. Just remember them in a log cabin covered in snow....they gave me nightmares....

My memories of the den would be coming from from school in 1987 (I was in 5th year), and just chiling out wth demo,zig and zag. everyone watched it. i watched it for about 4 years. zuppy was a cutie pie. happy days.

Ah the memories. This was childrens tv gold. I pity the children with the muck they have today. We had the Turtles, James bond jr, transformers, the very dark Batman cartoon and that brilliant Spiderman series not to mention Saved by the bell and Fresh Prince.

Now they have Yu Ghi oh and these appalingly animated japanese cartoons.

Absolutely legendary. I know it sounds like a cliche but they just dont make them like this anymore. In fact, I'd also go so far as to say no other country could produce this quality of programming. You can tell they all had some laugh making it too, like when they used keep throwing Ted into Ray repeatedly...ah happy times

The childrens shows definitely are poor...no personality (not that I spend all my time still watching kids tv shows.....ahem). I still have some faith in rte as they occasionally have good documentaries, comedy night, etc. I actually prefer channels that show a bit of everything as opposed to the ones on digital that show 8 Seinfelds in a row or something
