Hi there, I recently got a keystation 61es keyboard and hooked it up to reason. I have recorded a track on the sampler and a track on the redrum. The only problem is when I play back the track the volume on the sampler goes way down and the redrum stays the same. I had a different computer and I never had a problem with this before. Any ideas why this is happening?

Reason is definitely better than FL Studio (especially Reason 4.0). I have both and Reason greatly outweighs FL Studio in a number of ways. It does have some disadvantages in comparison, but more advantages. I have been told by music industry engineers and producers that you can't really be a serious producer using FL Studio and I have come to realize that's true. You can put money on Reason!

i doubt you know any music industry engineers, and a creative mind can do quality music on any program/hardware, look @ 9th wonder. its not the program, its creativity, pete rock did all on sp1200 with 2.5 seconds of sample time, premier did all on his mpc60, nowdays you all have unlimited resources and stilll produce shit. True producer will make quality music on anything available.

That is definitely true in that it's more in how creative you are as a producer and not the program/software that is used. I'm not denying that at all, I was just answering the question regarding which software was better between Reason and FL Studio. I was just giving my "opinion" based on having used both software programs for music production. And don't say that you doubt I know any music industry engineers when in fact I do from my internship at one of the major recording studios in Chicago.

Depends on how you wanna work. With Reason , u can't record audio, u import them and you can't use VST's.With Fl Studio you can record audio and VST's are usable.The good thing is both can be rewired to each other and other apps like cubase so you can utilize the best of both in a project. Get demos and try em out and see which you prefer. Personally Reason4 is my number one,it just feel easier to use.
