This is funny to me since I'm from the west, after cube and pac owned their foes some in the east took it personally and had to step up and act hard because they felt like they got dissed.
@WashingtonEnema When did Cube or Pac "own" anyone in the East? The east doesn't have to "act" hard. The east is hard. If you are from Washington state, what would you know?Yeah Seattle and Tacoma, and Indian reservations !! Oh wasn't Tupac born in New York. Wasn't he raised in NY, Baltimore and Chicago? That's some west coast pedigree. Pac got shot repeatedly, robbed and finally killed......who did he "own?"
@SouthjettyBill Lol I take it you haven't listened to cube much. I never said I was from Washington state, this name is referring to the shit we have to remove from office in WashingtonDC. I'm from LA. As far as acting hard I was referring to the tough talk on records, you didn't hear it much before the mid to late 90s. As far as pac owning I suppose you haven't heard hit em up. Do you want to mix music with his real life? How about millions of records sold, thats owning.
@SouthjettyBill cont Pac represented the west(in his own words) and you're right he was on the east coast for some time but he eventually moved to Oakland at a young age. I still find it weird that you would bring up some violence against pac when we were talking about music. The main thing about the beef was the fact that radio stations in NY were biased towards NY music instead of playing everyone like stations in LA do.
this tune was the bestback then. - like Spring 96 ... I was always requesting this at the hiphop Thursdays on campus. oh no i was in uiniversity in 1996 - damn I feel old now! hahaha
damn... 95/96 was a good time for hip hop - thx for posting this! great video. love the cameo of Guru in it, too - R.I.P.
