The DREAM Act has a cut off age at 30 years old. But you have to be UNDER THE AGE OF 16 when you came to the US! Read the bill. The Republicans weren’t in a position to block anything, up to and including bias from the AP. Durbin’s speech yesterday convinced me the dream act needed passing. It’s obvious from the examples Durbin gave of illegal alien student’s performance that they are all patriotic, over-achieving super geniuses and we would be fools to let them get away. The DREAM Act misses the entire point of being an ILLEGAL ALIEN. I support helping illegal kids who have been here since being small children; the fact is, they are American. HOWEVER, this bill is seriously flawed and is backdoor amnesty for other family members. I think it would also be a magnet to others to come here illegally. We saw this happen when Reagan granted amnesty in the '80s. We need to stop this problem. It is unfair to legal immigrants and Americans. I hate seeing kids in the middle of this, but this bill has too many problems.

Yes, you've some trouble-makers but an overwhelming majority want to be good productive citizens.
I live near a Community College which offers about 25 English as a Second Language courses per semester & Hispanics start lining up at 2am so they can be sure to get registered when the bldg opens at 8.

The "Scream Act" will never, ever happen in this country. ILLEGAL-aliens have become embolden by Democrats to brow-beat Americans into submission of accepting them. It's not going to happen by any stretch of the imagination. ILLEGAL-aliens have come militant, belligerent, arrogant and demanding towards the American people and our way of life. ILLEGALs hate Americans one minute, and then change their spots when they want something the citizens of this country. FAIL!

before we going helping people that came here illegally we need to help our own people. the politician's and the public should be ashamed and outrage that we still have poverty in this country and that people still die in the streets everyday. instead what are two hottest topic in Washington right now the dream act and don't ask don't tell. boy i sure am glad to be american aren't you? guess i'll i just illegally go to Canada then they can give me everything i want. a boy can DREAM

here's what i don't understand about the dream act. why are they so eager to help foreign young people when our government frankly doesn't give a shit about our young people in this country. what about american college students that are drowning in debt where's their dream act? they want them to join the military as well. why? in my opinion a huge majority of illegal aliens aren't interested in becoming true citizens in the first place. so why should we let them fight for us.
