He is great, but he plays this grove more in the middle of the beat, whereas Stewart plays more on top of the beat. Omar and Vinnie play, or chose to play on top of the beat for Sting. This was good and interesting to hear his feel, but me likes the grove on top of the beat with the Police....Just saying

Yeah, Stewart always pushed a bit too much though, I hear it drove Sting crazy - it drives me crazy sometimes. Vinnie tends to put different stuff in different places, his Ride can be beautifully relaxed and behind, while other things push, but rubato doesn't happen: where as this guy's a monster, but yeah, I know what you mean.
