we make rights because certain systems of rights are beneficial to our individual existence. morality arises from self interest. you seek your own happiness and naturally you create certain moral rules. moral rules are also based on the society you live in. for example, if you lived with societies, you wouldnt consider wrong letting an old man die in the snow, and you wouldnt consider wrong having sex with multimple people at once. in fact, native american societies saw these things as right.
