  • How I became a Soul Calibur fan, because of Link! Link is so awesome! FTW!

  • This is without a doubt one of THE best renditions of the Zelda theme!

It should of been in Brawl.

  • @RedHead2J it's not in brawl I did not know that

  • this is the best videogame music of all times

  • I hope SC5 gets ported to Wii U and Link returns.

  • I love this version of Link's theme. I hope that Link is a guest character in Soul Calibur V, if it comes for the Wii U (which I think will happen, since Tekken is coming to the Wii U, and Namco makes both Tekken and Soul Calibur). I also wonder if perhaps Marth could make it as a guest character as well. He's made an appearance in the past two Smash Brothers and seems like a perfect fit alongside Link. (Yeah, I know, Roy would be a more awesome choice, but Marth is the more likely of the two).

  • @ThePerson1256 true but we can only wait =3

  • Awesome...Pure awesome! This is the best rendition of his theme by anyone, which is quite a shock that Namco got permission to use Link in the first place.

  • Can someone tell me actual name of song

  • HOW OLD IS TOAD?!?!?!/1/1/!?!?1/1/1?!?!

  • @921144666 over 9000

  • Actually Link is 17 years old and oh the beginning sounds like hyrule castle from super smash bros 64

  • Link is 12 and what is this

  • I thought he is 12 and then he became 21

  • I loved this music in Soul Calibur II. I would always pick Link's stage just to listen to this music.

  • Let's see...My favorite Zelda games (in order):

    1. Ocarina of Time

    2. Wind Waker

    3. A Link to the Past

    4. Zelda NES.

    5. Twilight Princess

  • @silvRboLt95

    1. Majora's Mask

    2. Twilight Princess

    3. Ocarina of Time

    4. Wind Waker

    5. ???

  • My boy, Soulcalibur II is what all true warriors strive for.

  • link is so sexy

    ...yeah im a girl

  • @aNimE732 link is fucked hot!!! O_O

  • @screamoisbest You mean Link is fucking hot right? Well I don't think so bcuz I'm a guy and if I did think he's hot people will call me a gay

  • Soul Calibur just made the most epic song in video gaming history...

    ...even more epic

  • Comment removed

  • O.O

    dang this is freaking awesome...

  • Link's game was available on 2/21/1986. This makes him 25 years old. HE'S LEGAL. :D

  • @NYhippie543 WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT! I thought he was 17 well there goes my childhood. Down the drain it goes

  • @NYhippie543 Yay he's legal is that a good thing?

  • @NYhippie543 that's how long he's been in the series not his age. Sorry ur wrong in this game he's 17 bcuz that version of him was originally taken from OOT

  • @NYhippie543

    Legal for bum sex?

    Interesting...

  • @NYhippie543 No you silly octorok 1 it's Zelda's game not Link's game and 2 that's how old the Zelda franchise is 25 years old

  • @NYhippie543 Does that mean he was a baby when he was in his 1st game? O.o

  • Now this is a great and wonderful interpretation of the main theme of the Legend of Zelda series for this game. Link is and will always still be the greatest cross-over character ever for anything, 'specially for this game. He fitted in so perfectly. Plus he was an awesome combatant to control.

  • reminds me of super smash bros lol

  • @YungTREspectroS There's a few motifs in the music that sound like they might actually be directly from Meele. Or vice-versa, maybe Meele got some of it from this. Depends on which game came first. I don't really know.

  • Does anyone actually know the proper name of this song and where it was first used in the Legend of Zelda games? I've been DYING to know and it's not easily Googled.

  • @D00M999 It's the Legend of Zelda Overworld theme, from The Legend of Zelda (1985) for the NES.

  • @D00M999 I believe Soul Calliber 2 took the overall Zelda theme and just tweaked it a bit for the game. I don't think this exact song is in any of the LoZ games.

  • @D00M999 Calibur*

  • 3 people got defeated by link's bombs (those powerful things.)

  • "His courage & faith are his greatest weapons"

  • OOT Link would destroy the TP Link

  • @Brandon5l9 Idk about that lol. TP Link is a descent of OoT link and he has the triforce of courage as well. Also TP link has chain mail haha.

  • @KingVerdo But OOT Link has that move in Melee/SC2 where he can thrust rapidly and his boomerang isint the windy one it just knocks out your teeth :D lol

  • @Brandon5l9 TP link would just do a barrel roll and win. :P

  • @Brandon5l9 I love them both

  • yay link was my age in Oot!!!!!!!!!!!!! awesome!

  • @darkly41 10? xD

  • @JEWong47 no 17 im 18 im a kid at heart

  • The timeline is impossible to figure out. There is a master timeline at Nintendo, but only 3 people are allowed to see it.

  • This really suits Link's Theme Song.

  • which game is this arrangement from, its so epic! or is it a remix!

  • @tristanocarina This song is from Soul Calibur II for the Gamecube. ;)

  • @triforceninja09 i've never heard of that one

  • no and yes zelda alittle older then him ithink inever got in ot that part of the story but yea i think thta right cuz vthey were in the same war when link mother tok hi mto the forest to have the duek tree watch over him so yea

  • I thought he turned from 9 to 16 as a teenager the same as in the zelda 1 and 2 series. My friends say he's 17 though.

  • @666blaziken Nope, I am pretty sure he is 10 at the start. And 17 at the end.

  • @corgal2 Does that mean he didn't have to go threw puberty? LOL

  • @kknl710 lmao

  • haha link has a theme !!

  • This is one of the best rendition of this theme, and it's not even a Nintendo game!

  • Wow everyone talking about Link's age and no one 'bout the song?

Don't you listen properly to this masterpiece while debating about Link's age? ;D

LOVE the theme, thx for the upload. :)

  • @Hanfgurkenhasser cuz people on youtube like to discuss in the comments :'D

  • Best of luck trying to find his age! It always changes!

  • Thumbs up if you want link's theme to be this for the next super smash bros.

  • @100tylersims *thumbs up*

  • Soul Calibur II's version of Link them is great.

  • This was always my favorite version of the legend of zelda theme

  • Nintendo gets Link. Sony gets Kratos.

  • @Slashbash So that's why I like Nintendo better. lol

  • @00411392 I prefer Ninetndo, but I honestly think Kratos is cooler.

  • This, unfortunately for Nintendo, is the best rendition of the main theme yet.

  • um does Links age really mater i mean he is epic no matter what his age is

  • wow, link is one of the nintendo characters that can be played in a non-nintendo game. Go LINK!! YOU ROCK! :D

  • YOUR ALL WRONG ABOUT LINKS AGE! When he pulled the Master Stone out of the Pedistal Of Time he could not wield it propley yet. So the Seven Sages sealed Link away for 7 years and he was 10 when he was a kid. So 10+7+17. And there you go!

  • @deetroitgrrl It's 10+7=17 not 10+7+17 thats a 34 year old hero of time. Lin, after Raru seals him in the temple of time, is seventeen.

  • @TheMuffinRappersHit I just made a mistake so be quiet over there!

  • @deetroitgrrl I think you mean 10+7=17

  • @deetroitgrrl Oh my! then, is Link 34!!!!?

    WTFFFFTWBJSHJHB!!

    ...

He looks so much younger O:

  • @deetroitgrrl Really? I thought he was 9 as Young Link & 16 as teenager Link?

  • @LinkMaster15000 lol the age gose fro mthe first one was 9 thur out the first one and then he was ten in ocraina and then whe nhe ogt the master sowrd and when in ot time he was 19 and so on and soo on i ma a zelda fun so iknow all about it

  • @codyloveniki So Link's 19 n OoT, Melee, SCII & TP?

  • @LinkMaster15000 I think Link's around 21 or 22 in Twilight Princess.

  • @silvRboLt95 Link's age has never been higher than 19 in any of the games. Also, it's been confirmed that the Link that appears in Skyward Sword will be the oldest yet.

  • @MetroidCommando So his age won't ever reach past 19? Which means he won't be old enough to drink :P JK

  • @silvRboLt95 Well, like I said, he'll be 20 or 21 in Skyward Sword. Plus, how do you know what the legal drinking age in Hyrule is? It could be, like, 7 for all we know.

  • @MetroidCommando 1. So, he'll reach 20?

    2. How would I know? I don't live in Hyrule! I was joking when I said that >_>

  • @silvRboLt95 1. Yes, he will.

    2. I was joking as well.

  • I want Skyward Sword...but I also want OoT 3D...This may be the hardest choice I'll ever have to make... :'(

  • @silvRboLt95 Well, they don't come out at quite the same time, so I'd have though it would be fairly easy to afford both, but if you can only get one of them for the moment, I'd go with Skyward Sword, personally. I know the nostalgia from Oot 3D will be great, but isn't a brand new adventure better than simply reliving an old one?

  • @MetroidCommando I do agree with you on this statement. But personally, I would like to relive the nostalgia that is the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I would also, however, like to play Skyward Sword. It looks like it'll be fun to play, and a lot better than Twilight Princess.

  • @MetroidCommando IN 3D!!!

  • @silvRboLt95 IF they DONT make skyward sword for the café/stream xD like they did with twilight O:

  • @krishoshi If they do make it for the Nintendo Stream (Project Cafe), then I'll just get it for that, and that'll start my new collection of games. If not, then I'll just continue on my collection of Nintendo Wii games.

  • @codyloveniki So is Teenager Link 19 n OoT, Melee, SCII, & TP?

  • Comment removed

  • @deetroitgrrl Stone? The correct word is Sword

  • @deetroitgrrl LINK is 17 in TP. Even says so in the guide book.

  • @deetroitgrrl he could have been older

  • @deetroitgrrl you are correct.

  • @deetroitgrrl Young Link in Oot has 12 years old so 12 + 7 = 19 years old. Old Link in Oot have 19 years old

  • I pretty sure Young Link in OoT is 12. He turns 19 after pulling the Master Sword. Toon Link was said to be 12, the age of the Hero of Time, so it fits.

  • to get peoples facts straight this reincarnation of Link is infact not from the zelda story line. yes he does look like adult Link from OoT but when he pulls the master sword out of the pedistal of time he's in the forest. so basicly this has nothing to do with zelda since namco was to lazy to resourch the series. and wind waker is infact a sequl to the adult time line, while twilight princess is a segul to majoras mask. In other words they are parrallel univerese's. will explain timeline soon.

  • @knigsonic Best explanation so far.

  • @JEWong47 Thank you! at least someone appreciates it.

  • @knigsonic Actually the Nintendo team did supervise this game and backstory for link. It says so in the credits. Also, they probably moved the master sword out of the temple of time after link got back from Termina. After all, in the Wind Waker the master sword is in Hyrule Casle instead of the temple of time. So they obviously moved it in both timelines. Even in Twilight Princess (which is in the child timeline) the master sword is in a forest.

  • @sonicteamUSA Why would they move the Master Sword's pedistal? thats the dumbest idea ever... T.W.'s in the forest because the temple of time is in ruins. plus, the door of time sealed its self in OoT, so they cant move it.

as for W.W. ... I havent got a clue why it was in the castle... maybe they tore the origional castle down and rebuilt it over the temple of time...

plus, it dont mean Namco actually cared.

  • @knigsonic The door of time sealed itself after OOT? I don't remember that. Link basically walked out of there and that's it. Maybe after that, they tore down the Temple of Time to prevent time travel. There's an actual backstory that doesn't contradict anything. He came to this world to defeat soul edge and then returned to Hyrule with his ocarina. I don't see why it can't be canon. The area Link pulls the Master Sword from in the opening scene is probably the same area in TP.

  • @sonicteamUSA *throws a stop sign up*

lets stop arguing. at least 3 people at nintendo know the WHOLE story, and they dont want us to find out...

  • @knigsonic but shagira miamoto says there isnt a direct storyline to the zelda games

  • @joe564338 He lied, he said in an interview that they have a master timeline that only he, aounuma and whoever is in charge of writing the story of any new zeldas gets to see.

  • @sonicteamUSA Prevent time travel??? Only Link is able to wield the master sword anyway, so there is nothing to prevent... the map looks different in every game because IT'S A GAME!!!!!! If it would be the same map with the same layout in every single game ppl would be bored, that's the only reason that it's all moved around in the different games

  • @VikzeLink or maybe when the temple of time was torn down, the ability for anyone who wielded the master sword after that to travel 7 yrs in the future wouldn't work. I don't know... I just like the idea of the story in SCII being a sequel to Majora's Mask. I always wandered what happened to Link after he left Termina. And I liked the way they told his backstory in this game. Unlike Super Smash bros where u know it's not canon cause they're just toys in those games.

  • @knigsonic The games share very little linear continuity, usually having a few games within the same storyline and the rest being indirectly connected or not at all. However, if you want continuity, it can be assumed that castle town was moved at the end of OoT, or that the temple was moved to the lost woods for TP. (if Midna can teleport giant bridges on her own, why can't others, working together, move a temple?) In WW, it doesn't fit as well, but...

DON'T LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE CONTINUITY!

  • EPIC!!!! So epic it renders me speechless everytime.

  • Wind waker is the reson why i play zelda and Gamecube

  • @roosuzumaki your wrong, Watch the angry videogame nerds " Chronologicly confused about zelda ". and I think that if link told zelda that he did not want to return, then the sequal to ADULT LINKS is deffinately Soulcalibur 2, because Links SC2 profile makes perfect sence if thats what happened I know link doesnt talk but we dont know if he really wanted to re-live his life again because he didnt have time to react, zelda just immidiatly sent him back. canon or not, it really doest matter.

  • My guess is that Soulcalibur2 is the sequal to Ocarina of Time As adult link, as Majoras Mask was a sequal to Ocarina of Times Child Link, Theres even proof of it in Links character profile in the game. for some reason the refer Ganondorf as "The Magician". I guess they had a copyright problem.

  • @godofwarfan323 I think this is a seual to majora's mask becuase link could have grown up returned to hyrule and looked for soul edge

  • @superspinclaw

this game isnt related to zelda cause theyve made soul caliber IV

    and hes not there

  • @superspinclaw Nah don't bother trying to explain it too much. Namco just kinda took what character would fit the theme of Soul Calibur best from Nintendo and added Link as a guest character. They didn't really look much into it, so all the cut scenes, info, etc. isn't really considered canon. Although that's a good point because Link DID return to Hyrule after Majora's Mask and no one knows where he went after that until Twilight Princess.

  • Link is the reason I bought this game. :)

  • @ZaikuZERO Link is the reason I bought a *gamecube*. This game was part of that reason, though.

  • @NeutralDrow Star Fox Assault, Metroid Prime, Thousand Year Door, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Smash Bros. Meele, just to name a few.

  • @ZaikuZERO

Not surprising as the GCN version sold the most of the three. Methinks Nintendo needs some big thank yous from Namco. SCII probably wouldn't garner this much popularity- especially the second. Either way, I've enjoyed the PS2 version of this game as well as SCIII. A really good fighting game series no doubt. :)

  • @roosuzumaki high five! =)

  • I could really see this song in the credits or opening scene in the next zelda with Link kicking all kinds of ass to the music. Unfortunately this theme is too fast paced for the overworld unless Nintendo speeds up the action a lot in the game.

  • link is probably the best character to use ; D

  • @roosuzumaki his theme doesn't get any more epic than this. Link's theme is the best.

  • I am an ultra fan of Link, and he is epic in many games.

    Link is FOREVER!

  • i think link should make a comeback in soul calibur, if not, then how about mario, bowser or ganondorf

  • link isnt real, so ur not link, but it wud be kind of cool if he was...

  • I'm a HUGE Zelda so when link was in SC2 I made sure to master his moveset although some of his moves suprised me. A well When in Rome.

  • Wow better then any of the versions you hear in actual Zelda games! Odd that.

  • @CinnabonChan Well, a theme as fast-paced as this one is much more fitting for a fast-paced fighting game like Soul Calibur rather than an exploration-based RPG like all the Zelda games. The music would feel a little awkward when you're just aimlessly running around Hyrule Field so you wouldn't hear something like this in the games. I think the closest to this particular version so far is Termina Field from Majora's Mask.

  • @JEWong47 No but you don't really hear the legend of Zelda of themes ingame, not often at least. Its usually during ending/title sequences, and sometimes in the Hyrule Field type levels (Oracle of Ages = Past Labrynna seems to be one of the most recent, I think).

  • Link was like the best Char. in SC2....for me though

And he looked great too :D He was like real and had a great voice too

I think he was like perfect

  • I remember this song lol The other ones from John williams and the original one from the soundtrack sound epic.. but this one is definitely epic! =)

  • I wish this song where in SSBB though...

  • @DimensionKnight I was really disappointed in the music selection for Smash Bros. Brawl. For a game with as much competitive capabilities, the music was much too casual, especially in places like, say, Smashville, where the music was just downright atrocious for a fighting game.

  • excellent theme^^ Link rulez!

  • it was awesome intorducing link in this game. though they should've introduced him in the future soul calibur games along with hihachi and spawn

  • nice ^^

  • Hey Can you send me this song? I've been hunting all over for it! I'd appreciate it GREATLY!

  • what do you mean fail

  • if you want my autograph then just ask

  • IM LINK for real me and my ansisters saved the world from evil

  • I believe him.

  • interestingly, when I heard this I was ten. Now I'm 17.

  • Interesting. Are you Link? If so, can I get your autograph?! ^_^

  • :D thanks! XD

  • ^ ^

  • Comment removed

  • best version of zelda's theme ever!

  • @monreaux123 It is...and it's from Namco...

  • @HinataChan30 ok but its still the best version imo

  • This makes me song makes me cry..so much childhood memories.. :(

  • dang brings back memorys...

  • The Answer To His age:

    Nobody Knows

Zelda Timeline,Age, And story is fucked up O_O

  • Its just a problem that Young Link looks a 7 year old boy and adult Link as a guy of 17

  • my guess is that he's 10 as a kid and emerges from the sacred realm 7 years later, thus making him 17( an adult)

  • yeah thts my theory 2

  • I can't remember where I heard it, but I'm pretty sure he's 11 as a kid, and then 18 as an adult.

But whatever. He's somewhere around that age lol.

  • @katedakokiri idk but i read that he was 8 and as an adult 15 but I'm not 100% sure though

  • @kevindiesal yes I guess that's right

  • @kevindiesal actully ur right lol

  • @kevindiesal actully ur right lol i toltaly for got about that lol

  • this link is maybe 15 or 19 but thats just me

  • he's 17 in OoT right? o-o

he's 10 before he pulls out the master sword.

  • he's 10 as a kid, and 17 as adult link.

Notice its Hyrule and not a today's country so ionno what their legal age is... :3

  • My guide book says he was 10, Back in the middle ages, 16 was when a boy became a man. So a 17 year old Link would still be an adult.

lol u get yer facts straight 8D

  • @roosuzumaki my guide said he was 8 as a kid! dammit! sorry to have wasted your time...

  • Zelda franchise owns every franchise ZELDA ROCKS FTW and please subscribe
