Wha? They say "insects" and then the first things they show are a Spider, a Worm. and a Scorpion. That's two arachnids and one annelid. None of them are insects. The stupid, it hurts.
I recently went to malaysia for a camp, and the bugs there were pretty good, Just catch them from the forest, dump all in a pot, add oil and salt, and it tastes pretty awesome
So far I have tried alot of the bugs from Thailand and they all taste pretty good. I recommend everyone brave enough to try these exotic tastes in Laos or Thailand because they are amazing! In all my 16 years of life I have yet tasted such new flavors. I wish to try puffer fish next.
"The Doctors" deserve a spanking for following "Insects - the other white meat" with a spider, earthworms and a scorpion before finally showing an insect.
All of those dishes look delicious!. Thank You "Girl Meets BuG" I recently started taking an interest as insects as a food source(Thanks to Bizarre Foods) and would like to Thank You ,Daniella, for the info you have provided. Keep Up the Good Work. Should ever need a "Taster"/"Human Test Subject". I would like to Volunteer !
Entomaphogy is the wave of the future. I have recently started making meal worms a part of my diet. Easy to raise and quite delicious. Would like to find more info on scorpion consumption. I live in AZ and we have plenty of them here. But I don't think I should just randomly eat any scorpion I happen to find. Any info on which ones are edible and which ones to avoid, would be welcomed.
@w84q Yes, I understand AZ is crawling with scorpions -- I can't wait to go! Apparently, more than half of the 80 species of US scorps live in Arizona alone; and only one of those species is considered lethal: the Arizona Bark Scorpion. If I were you, I would learn to identify this one, and steer clear of it! In general, my understanding is that heat will denature the venom of most bugs; however, with scorps, unless they are very small, I always cut off the stinger, just to be safe.
I loved Daniella's swagger when she was walking out... man oh man. Thanks again for the interview Daniella (Tyler from The Webmaster's Corner on the CLW83 Network)
Dont forget! Theyre doctors, they only eat good food. I just hate it when they over exaggerate then like it at the end and its normal.

None of the first three "insects" shown are insects at all!! Spiders and scorpions are arachnids, worms are annelids.

Whiny doctors, i'd eat that, it's no big deal as long as the food doesn't move and tastes good.
