  • We should all boycott MicroFuckingSoft for insulting our intelligence after 3 years of waiting with their new arcade game. X-Plane here we come!

  • do u need a garphics card like fsx or does it work just like that

  • Lovely video. Nice production. Problem I have is with X-Plane itself; night time realism is lacking. Runways / taxiways look black at night to keep distractions at minimum. You DON'T see blue, green taxiway or runway lights unless at the correct altitude and alignment. • @wyzyrddrummer You may want to check the new release of X-Plane 10 and see if you like it any better since there is a whole new focus on night time realism. I've posted two new vids that highlight some of those features. Often some of the issues you're describing are issues having to do with setting rendering options. Which often have to do with ones computer equipment and its capabilities. Example: Distance views can be set in rendering options. Nonetheless, it's always a person choice.

  • Played this on iTouch4. Try it just if you want to get the smaller picture on the release. all the planes are already in it. (and please dont compare, mobile caliber and desktop caliber are different)

  • @dimasrahadian How often people forget that mobile calibre and desktop calibre issue :-) Thanks for reminding us! If only it were that easy to simply make one size fits all.

  • Хуйня.

  • looked closer to a cartoon then it did real life. especially the jet landings

  • @Sorth That's why you won't be buying X-Plane :-( Enjoy the sim of your choice...

  • @Lupineproductions it was simply constructive criticism, not bashing.. as a matter of fact I will be buying x-plane when i get back from Afghanistan..

  • @Lupineproductions As a matter of fact, when the fighter jets land, you can see huge blotches of texture. I'm not saying all of x-plane is like this, but how it is made in the video it appears to be like this. I plan on gettin a pretty serious gaming rig when i get back to the states and pushin it to it's limits on my 42in LG :)

  • @Sorth I think you should play Microsoft's newest arcade game!

  • Will the heinz 787 work in xplane 10

  • @MrRuberducks I'm not certain. I think some planes will work but they may need modification. I just received an email from one of the web sites that sells Heinz's planes that he's modified several of his planes to work with XP10 and if you're a customer, they're offering it at 40% off or something like that. If I come across that email, I will get you the info. Good luck!

  • anyone notice that the ikea sign was back to front - just an observation!

  • @TheSSMusicChannel I was flying backwards? :-) It may be that I needed the shot to go in the opposite direction and I flopped the image. I don't always count on the "eagle eyes" of our X-Plane simmers to catch everything. Busted!!! :-)

  • This video is so awesome! Not shocking that many people chipped in, it's very hi tech! Love it, you've got a like, favourite and sub!

  • @GoingToBeAPilot1 Thanks so much! It always means a lot to get a good review. And yes, I can only do what I do because so many people do what they do. It's a team effort. Just like flying. Engineers, ground crew, ATC, flight crew, etc. An orchestra is a good metaphor for how the world should be. All the members have such enormous talent on their own but when they come together, they create such beautiful music. Happy New Year and good luck becoming a pilot. Keep me in the loop!

  • @Lupineproductions No probs I will! So did Laminar Research pay you to make this?

  • @GoingToBeAPilot1 I don't get "paid" to make these videos for Laminar. But I work closely with Austin, Randy, their marketing manager, and many of the amazing creators at Laminar Research. In return, I have complete creative control, I'm seldom told what to do and they respect my abilities. Once someone pays you, there are expectations. Though I do have paying clients, X-Plane has been a labor of love for many years. These films have led to other paying projects. Check my other vids on YouTube.

  • @Lupineproductions Oh okay, I'll check out your other videos. Good luck for future projects!

  • @StrigonLead Thanks for your honesty and for being respectful. I'm glad you've found a sim that works for you. Keep at it and enjoy.

  • Welcome to 2004 simulators...

  • @curimedia Everyone is entitled to an opinion, thanks for yours. Enjoy whichever flight sim brings you joy!

  • Why hasn't your video been posted in the sub forum Lupine Productions on the .org site?

    Nice video!

  • @ruyjo1 In answer to your first question: I don't know? Hmm? In answer to you comment: Thank you! Compliments are always appreciated.

  • Those planes are x-plane 9 not x-plane 10 due to graphics

  • @POLLARTECK You are partially correct in that not "all the planes" are XP10. I did stick in some XP9 planes. Please don't ask me to make a list :-) We've just released XP10 so hurray! Thanks for the comment...

  • Much better than the original Trailer!!

  • two questions, will the wings on airplanes flex in Xplane 10? also can i take real flights say in a 737 trans continental using GPS or navaids. I dont htink these will be options in microsoft flight.

  • @DuskbatRabbit Yes, the wings flex! And though I think the answer to the second question is "yes," I can say for certain. However, others may chime in to help answer that.

  • @DuskbatRabbit

Yes, the wings will flex in XPlane 10, if it is programmed into the simulated plane. Very easy to do.

  • Sock it to FSX!!!!

  • where did you get the 747 singapore? and with spinning engines thats hard to find! is it payware?

  • @ACJMED I will look into it as I don't specifically recall. But to the best of my recollection, it is not pay ware, I think it's freeware. It's a great 747 and Singapore is one of several liveries it comes with. Go to x-plane.org and do a search there and you will more than likely find it. If I have time and come across any more info, I'll send you the link. It's a great model of the 747! Good luck!

  • The video is outstanding. The planes are the rock stars. Excellent.

  • @2002drumsonly Thanks for the compliment! I'll take credit for the video, the planes are by the astonishing team that Austin has put together at X-Plane and Laminar Research. More to come as we await the release of XP10 hopefully for Christmas this year. Once again, thanks for the kind words.

  • HOW DO U GET THAT SCENERY????????????????

  • @MrRcAirsoft To the best of my recollection, most if not all of the scenery is freeware from x-plane.org. I kid you not. There are some amazing people out there doing amazing work and making it available to anyone. Check out the site. Good luck...

  • @Lupineproductions cool thanks!

  • Like the tight editing!

  • @saltspringpictures Well, I can't thank you enough for the compliment. That's what a filmmaker, editor likes to hear. Glad you appreciated it. Not many even realize sometimes why they like a video, but that's part of it. Once again, thanks!

  • @Lupineproductions yes editing is everything, its huge!

  • Where did you get the JRollon aircraft to make this amazing vid?

  • @epicflyer45783678511 The planes will be available with XP10. I received an early beta version from Laminar to create the film you see.

  • @Lupineproductions, Then is there a way I can get the beta also?

  • @epicflyer45783678511 Unfortunately, there's no way to get a beta copy. I have one because I work with Laminar Research, the creators of X-Plane. But fear not, X-Plane 10 will be released this Christmas!

  • if it was like this out of the box i would buy this, but its not.

  • @captainsmartass123 I'm not certain what you mean. All the planes you see hear will be available with XP10 when it's released this Christmas. But nonetheless, we all have a choice to make and there's room in the world for more than one flight sim. Enjoy...

  • @Lupineproductions im sorry, i didnt see the description, i thought all of this was x-plane 9, obviously it wasnt. and ya im buying x-plane 10, hopefully meyer realizes that every plane he puts into the sim needs full modeling and proper VCs if he wants it to be sucessfull. If those things are incorporated (already with realistic flight dynamics and scenery) ill move from FSX to XP10

  • In my oppinion fsx looks better than X Plane.

  • @hallewalollewo A lot of people agree with you and that is why they stay with FSX. I think, as discussed many times, as lot of simmers are looking for performance with regards to aerodynamic and reality of flight issues, etc. But we all make choices. In a perfect world, we'd all have everything we wanted. Good luck and happy flying.

  • can i get the music?

  • @trmes13 The music is actually copyrighted stock music so it's not readily available. Sorry. But it is pretty cool isn't it? Thanks for noticing.

  • music is vrom free coaster 2

  • @alecdepalect There you go!?!? If you can get it, great?

  • @alecdepalect It's all good :-)

  • Too awesome

  • @nerfdude5 NO! What's awesome is that you took the time to point it out to me! Thanks! Much appreciated! Glad you liked it.

  • ???? F-22 takeoff from carrier? Never knew that was possible

  • @kpsuperplane Well, I don't know if it's possible or not but it is "artistic license." A few people have pointed it out before so you also have a good eye! No, they don't take off carriers, I'm busted. But as I said, artistic license. I keep reminding people this is why flight sims exist! So we can do stuff we can't do in real life :-) Nonetheless, you got me!

  • can i please have the download link for the Singapore airlines 747 at 1:48

  • @10newsrox I wish I could send you the specific link but it's been so long. I would say go to x-plane.org and do a search for 747's and I'm certain you'll find it. If I do come across it, I will send it to you.

  • @Lupineproductions Okay thanks!!!

  • Awesome video!!! Very well done!!!

  • @MegaEcho59 Well, thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. It's always nice to get a compliment!!!

  • @20284488 WOW! Another voice of reason! Thank you! If you read my posts, the thing I always stress is that there is room in the world for more than one flight sim. And the truth is that they both have pluses and minuses and in a perfect world, it would be a combination of the two. In addition, it all depends on what one is looking for in a sim. But mostly, be happy with what you utilize and that's all there is to it. Thanks again for the comment.

  • @SweSk8er It's a piece of music that I licensed from a stock music library that I own.

  • Looks nice. From videos that ive seen from x plane 9 ive never been very impressed, landings look unrealistic (lack of smoothnes when compared to real & fsx landings), they seem to behave more like RC plane. Idk about flight model, but at least when talking about default planes doesnt seem much better than fsx ones as they can stop in unrealistically short time in both.

Im looking forward to see x plane 10, but at least now I will stay with fsx with good addons.

  • @Pvjinflight I normally don't disagree strongly but I do with your comment. Specially about landings. I'm an aviation cinematographer and a pilot. I work with real planes all the time and the last thing real planes do is land "smoothly." In my opinion, one of the most "un-reaslistic" things about FSX is the lack of movement on final and landings. It is constant adjustment until touch down. I've put video next to sim footage and it speaks volumes. But, we're all entitled to our opinions. Thanks!

  • @Lupineproductions Yeah I agree that in fsx in good weather you really dont need to adjust anything like in real life (and also turbulence effect is really limited), and thats better in X plane, but I was talking about how plane behaves on touchdown. To me at least from videos ive seen it seems that planes are bouncing unrealistically quick & little like RC plane on touchdown, doesnt look like movement of big heavy piece of metal at all.

  • @Pvjinflight Thanks for the civil conversation. Glad you enjoy FSX, they no doubt have much more options out there. In a perfect world, it would be the best of both sims combined together. Enjoy!!!

  • Still think that handlingswise, the FSX is much easier. I own both and think that xplane sucks. Settings never work, Graphics are bad etc.

  • @manhenk We all have opinions. Comments like FSX handling is much easier & settings never work make no sense. Easier with respect to? What settings? XP runs full size, full motion sims in training facilities approved by the FAA. Burt Ruttan, Scaled Composites, NASA, Cirrus and a host of others use XP to train & design aircraft. But this argument continues and that's fine too. Glad you like FSX, I've never said it sucked, but for some reason, FSX simmers spend a lot of time trashing X-Plane

  • @Lupineproductions im all for FSX and i bought x-plane 9 and wasnt impressed and i fly for real, im not saying i hate x-plane, but its no where near "user-friendly" like FSX. in FSX u pick a plane airport, weather, etc in x-plane setting up controls are the worlds biggest pain in the ass. again, im not sitting here bashing x-plane as an FSX fanboy, but ive been simming for 17 years and i fly casually and x-plane is just a pain to use, im sure if i learned id like it, but as for now, not pleased.

  • @captainsmartass123 I tell folks who ask, if you're looking for a game, neither X-Plane nor FSX is for you. They are not "games" they are flight simulators. And they have a steep learning curve. Sort of like, well, real flying. And as you know, the "flying" is the easy part, the landing and many other aspects of aviation are much more challenging. As it should be with a tool that's teaching you to be a better aviator. Bottom line, be happy with what you're using, and it sounds like you are.

  • @Lupineproductions like i said before, i been simming for 17 years and now i fly for real, flight simulator was a game when i was a child, now after my parents and I investing thousands of dollars in flight simulator hardware and software, its no longer a game, its a hobby. now i agree with you, there is always room for one more sim, the more the merrier, its just x-plane isnt user friendly, and i cant seem to find any decent tutorials on how to use this complicated software. thats my only issue

  • I've been flying X-plane 9 since 2009 its a great sim, the accuracy is second to none, but if this really is x-plane 10 It looks like a improved 9 which I'm all for. Better clouds slightly? I wonder what we will see in the future maybe my Nvidia GT 430 will run on it well....

  • @mfsflyer1 I should make it clearer. This is "still XP9." It only features some of the new planes coming in XP10. The new release of XP10 will be a significant improvement over XP9. There are some screen captures out there that Austin Meyer release some time ago. It is behind in the release date but that's simply because they don't want to release it before it's ready. Did you get that Apple!!! Final Cut Pro X, hello? Sorry, I edit with FCP and I'm not making the switch any time soon.

  • @mfsflyer1 X-plane 10 will have fully detailed neigborhoods. It will have the best graphics of and simulator. Search X-plane 10 and watch the video above this one.

  • @jmaissel I see

  • Lupine go to google and type Microsoft flight , that's the name of the newer sim and they have pictures and short videos ,by the way I also flight in real world

  • @holguinerito Thanks!!! I did look again and still found very little out there. But I still look forward to see what will come out next. I'm never afraid of good competition. It makes everyone work harder to make the product better and inspires everyone to raise the bar. I'm a firm believer in there being more than enough room in the world for more than one flight sim :-) If I owned a PC, there's no doubt I would own MFSX. I would love to own both. I love certain things about MFS.

  • @Lupineproductions fsx is only spot on realistic i think if you have a ultra high spec pc. mines fair high spec, but on full hd graphics it shudders, due to my graphics card only being 512mb plan to upgrade to 1gb eventually. another thing what x-plane seems more realistic is the radios.

  • thid is way better than fsx, and i play fsx

  • I'm with you, CuseRecorder. Sadly, many gamers don't feel that way. Those of us who fly in the real world and use sims for training purposes don't actually care if the fans in jet engines spin or what the plane looks like from the outside. I haven't flown a plane from the outside lately :-). But, all the "eye candy" does contribute to the overall experience. If people had any idea of the processing power being utilized to move a 3d object through a 3d space in real time, they would be impressed.

  • i will sacrifice scenery for realistic aircraft, any day.

  • Flying X_Plane aircraft in cockpit view is quite a realistic feeling, much more so than FSX. But X-Plane falls down on its unrealisic scenery. The ideal for me would be X_plane flight dynamics combined with FSX scenery and texture realism

  • @RonSkem I wish I didn't have to agree with you but I do. In a perfect world, there would be a way to combine the best features of both. Keep in mind that if XP had the money MIcrosoft had, it would be much farther along. X-Plane is a labor of love and was created by one person and a group of dedicated individuals from all over the world. It's a David and Goliath story. And at this point, FSX is out of business while XP continues on. But as I say, there is room in the world for both.

  • fsx its been follow by microsoft flight . visit the site they have some preview videos ........

  • @holguinerito Show me the way? So far, I haven't seen any videos "of the actual" sim. I've just seen "real footage of airplanes flying." Now if that's what the sim looks like and I'm mistaking it for film, then we're talking about some pretty realistic graphics. But to the best of my knowledge, that's footage of real planes. If a sim is not showing me what they've got, I'm suspicious. But I'd love to see what they're going to come up with. The more the merrier!!!

  • Some of the scenery textures look hideous up close. I mean we're talking 10 years out of date graphically. I would have expected better but then again perhaps not.

  • @feathers632 I do agree. But there are also some high rez textures out there some even available for free. The truth is that those scenery textures would bring the average computer to a crawl. It's always a compromise. But with each release of XP, they've made leaps and bounds. And the latest release will move it forward even more. Even with those low rez textures, when one turns everything on "high," even my high end computer finds it challenging. Eventually the hardware will catch up.

  • @feathers632

Not sure if anyone mentioned this already but the scenery textures in this video are XP-9 not 10. The videos so far only show the aircraft that will be available in XP10 so I hope scenery textures get an upgrade also.

  • @SVnerd I've mentioned it several times but not everyone goes back to read the comments so it bears repeating so thanks for doing that! Yes, the planes are from XP10 and the graphics are from XP9 and previous. I've seen some early tests and looking forward to the new release. It's overdue but that's because Austin Meyer, the creator of XP, and the gang at Laminar Research want to make it the best it can be. Some of the screen captures looked like photographs. Here's to it all coming together.

  • how to install it..

  • Looks much more realistic than X-Plane 9

  • like always... AMAZING VIDEO =D

i think ax plane should hire you to do some video clips for them...

cause of your videos that i'm playing x plane =D

    simply amazing!

keep doing more awesome videos like that... cause i'll aways check it!

  • @knightsllider THANKS SO VERY MUCH! Comments like this makes it all worth while! Made my day! I actually do make video for X-Plane. I'll be making a new one for XPV10 as soon as it's ready. And my work for XP has opened up a whole lot of doors for me with other clients even in the real world of aviation. But comments like yours are really what it's about. Most of the time, people simply spend time trashing the flight sim and rarely comment on the vids. So thanks again!

  • After install i have at once this airlines and so much realistic airports and cities or i must download this ???

  • @hgvwi The planes in this video have not been released yet. They will be released with X-Plane Version 10 which will be released soon. This is a pre-release video.

  • @Lupineproductions And when do you plan to release Version 10? I was about to get the version 9 but considering that the upgrade to version 10 won't be free. I will wait then, but for how long?

  • @Nolecrean In good conscience, I can't tell you to buy it and yet, I can't tell you when because I really don't know. I know it's late with its release but I also know because all those involved want to release the best version they can. And this release will be the most profound in a long time. So be patient. I wish I had more to tell you. You can always write to Austin Meyer, the creator of X-Plane. He pretty much answers all his email. Go to the website and I think his emails address is there

  • Exactly the same as X-plane 9!!!!!!

  • Will X-plane 10 still have plane maker and what not? I'm thinking of switching over. I tried X-plane 9 demo and was impressed

  • @AeroSail727 As Blaze said, PlaneMaker should be part of the XP10 release. And XP10 will be a knockout of a release. That is why the release has been delayed. Laminar and Ausin are working very hard to get it just right.

  • Microsoft eastereggs: a whink to MS flight with the stearman and the train from MS train simulator. It is good to have some competition in the FS market!

  • the moon at night looks soon much better than fsx, I just picked up my copy at target and installing now, can't wait to make some flight sim videos of it!!!!

  • @mboy3515 And frankly, it will look even better in the XP10 release. I had a chat with Austin about that exact subject and how we could improve it even more.

  • Xplane is the best because you can fly to Pluto!

  • @8pg888 Just Google X-Plane and go to their website and you'll get all the info you need including a demo.

  • it was cool until you took a f22 off of a carrier

  • @99F I'm pasting a previous reply to the same comment. Hope it's OK. Absolutely correct! Been busted several times if you read through the comments and have always admitted my faux-pax. In all sincerity, this is "art," I did take some artistic license. After all that's what great about a simulator! It just looked good for the promo. If I were doing this for the military, yikes! But you are correct and I am BUSTED (again :-) and hopefully, forgiven - good eye by the way!!!

  • i think x-plane10 is better than fsx but we didn't now how is microsoft flight!!!!!!!!!!

  • @eni190 We don't know. But from what I read some time ago, it's supposed to be more of a easy to use, fun, game type of sim. Remember, XP is a very realistic flight simulator that helps to train pilots in the real world. Many of my friends who aren't sincerely interested in aviation think it's too complicated and boring. So they may actually lean toward something like "Flight." Plenty of room in the world for more than one sim.

  • Awesome music, Terrible flight simulator! Macintosh, go fuck yourselves! All Hail WINDOWS! FLIGHT SIMULATOR X BABY!!!

  • @SUPPORTOURTROOPS36 At least you liked the music. But really, maybe just a little uncalled for? I mean you call yourself "SUPPORT OUR TROOPS" and have this kind of attitude? Dude, it's only a flight sim. There's plenty of room in the world for more than one flight sin. You like one, I like another, big deal. And let's face it, just ask our troops, we got much bigger shit goin' on than flight sims. So I'll give you a chance to delete this yourself and rethink your comment before I take it down.

  • @Lupineproductions look, everyone has their own opinion on things, I dont care if you like one game or another, It is not my judgement to tell you what you should or should not like! That is your decision. In my comment, did I tell everyone who looks at it to say that you should all play FSX instead of X-Plane? Noooooo, I did not. And look, dont put this whole " Oh, i support our troops with this attitude?" Cmon, Everyone has their attitude, even you to I bet. Look, sorry for the negativity ok?

  • @SUPPORTOURTROOPS365 But that was my point! Every single thing you said was absolutely fine, I had no problem with any of it, with the exception of "go fuck yourselves?" If you check out the comments on these pages, there's all points of views. So, we move on, thanks for the apology, we all get up on the wrong side of bed on some mornings. In a perfect world, we'd combine the two sims and have even a better sim then they each can be on their own. Be well...

  • @Lupineproductions One more thing, and again, sorry for the negativity, I looked at a youtube video about X-Plane 10 and it actually looks pretty damn good! :)

  • Jrollon Crj-200 is near a finished state it wasn't postponed it was just progressing slower; type this into google: crj-200 jrollon rc1.

    Spread the word!

  • How do you get the view of the plain flying past a stationary camera in mid air? I have to make a similar video. Also how do you get the 'camera shake' effect you've got going on with some of the shots?

  • @C11Gidasi Wow! Lots of questions and it would take a bit of time to answer them all and I'm limited here. I've been meaning to create a tutorial but those paying gigs seem to always take priority. I'll see if I can answer some questions in the near future. Remind me again if I forget and get tied up. Working on aviation video that's been keeping me very busy.

  • make an xplane 10 app as well as the computer software please :) oh and could we have virtual cockpits? thanks

  • @13megaprime Go to X-Plane's web site and make your suggestions there. Austin Meyer reads all his emails...

  • @Lupineproductions okay thanks

  • do you think x plane or FSX is better?

  • @Misteroriginalvideos Depends on what you're looking for in a flight sim. That's an ongoing argument around here. We all have our choice. Some people seem to come to fist fights over the answer. Me? I feel they both have advantages and in a perfect world, a combination of the two would be the best thing. But one has to decide what one is looking for. I try to avoid getting caught up in the name calling that seems to take place. To each his own...

  • How did you record this? Did austin send you a copy of X-Plane 10?

  • @Armydude771 XP10 Is not released yet but I do have some XP10 planes. I do work with Laminar Research and Austin. No, I don't send copies to anyone :-)

  • @Lupineproductions No i wasent asking for x-plane 10 i was wondering if austin gave you x-plane 10 or if this is just x-plane 9.

  • Very nice video. How do you do it? Do you have to use special editing software?

  • @drmpilot365 No! Just record the footage in XP. Then edit it in your favorite editing software. I use Final Cut Pro. You can use FCP or iMovie, etc., etc.

  • Comment removed

  • @3:30 ... is that KMSP ???

  • @A1B5J It kinda looks like it at first, but I'm pretty sure it's not. If it was runway 4 would cross both 30 L and R. It is very similar though.

  • @A1B5J I wish I could remember but I made the video such a long time ago :-( I'll try and view the video again, then go into XP, load KMSP and see if I recognize it and let you know if I get the chance...

  • dont mean to be a drag about x-plane but this is the other videos i have seen...

if you look at user jon5700 - thats prime.

  • @sonicboom2885 Not a problem! I've commented and credited jon5700 for his work. Room in the world for more than one sim and everyone has their opinion. Keep in mind, the videos I create have absolutely no visual effects. I can enhance and add effects but I choose not to. Jon's vids do have some pretty heavy effects with "glow filters", etc. Not to say you can't do that, but it does make a difference. Nonetheless, his editing is, as you say, "prime." See, I give credit where credit is due.

  • @Lupineproductions

yes of course....... but now u got me curious to the add "effects" and capabilities of x-plane.

***People take note, this is how you have a proper human to human discussion. This guy i give props to, cuz he took my comment, and in a humble manner explained it. and now of all things im curious to x-plane. Hats off to you sir. and if i do say so myself, x-plane is pretty good in stock.... i used to play the old Jane's navy fighters - rofl if u can remember or see graphics on..

  • @sonicboom2885 Thank you, SonicBoom, couldn't agree more. There's enough trouble in the world without fighting over petty things :-) And let's face it, in the grand scheme of things, flight sims are not at the top of the list. I've made it a point not to fall into that trap. I am very grateful and impressed that you picked up on it. There is hope for us :-) I've always said that in a perfect world, we would take the best of everything and blend it together. Until then, we strive for better.

  • @Lupineproductions

that i am sure you would chuckle. =)

  • i hate to say it guys...but it looks crappy. thse graphics are terrible.

  • @Stravagantte666 Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Most of us that use XP are not as concerned about the "eye candy" as we are about the "flight dynamics," "flight characteristics" and "blade element theory" that makes XP the flight simulator of choice for flight schools, Burt Ruttan at Scaled Composites, NASA, Cirrus, and many others. Precision Flight Components in Sacramento, makers of full scale, full motion flight simulators use XP to run their systems. But to each his own. Enjoy!

  • Great vid. How did you greatly enhance the graphics at some points through out the vid? such as the 3D walk through of the X-15? & all the other aircraft!

  • @Kanedyl Thanks! I haven't enhanced anything really. Everything you see is from X-Plane. The only difference is that many of the planes you see are from the upcoming version of X-Plane 10 which has yet to be released. The walk through the planes is a feature of X-Plane. Just select "command" plus the letter "o" and this will put you into the 3D cockpit mode. Not all planes have this mode but if they do, you can then use the arrow keys and the page up down keys to move around. Good luck!

  • nice !!!!!!!!

  • @RANDOOMSHIT Thanks! As you can see, not everyone agrees. But that's what makes it all interesting :-)

  • Yeah, right...

An F-22 catapulting off of an Aircraft Carrier.

    Haha, Give me a break.

  • @superhot340 Ha-Ha is absolutely correct!!! I've been busted for this several times if you read through the comments and have always admitted my faux-pax. But, in all sincerity, this is "art" and I did take some artistic license. After all, this is a simulator and that's what great about a simulator! It just looked good for the promo film. If I were doing this for the military, yikes!

But you are correct and I am BUSTED (again :-) and hopefully, forgiven - good eye by the way!!!

  • I've never played x-plane before, can someone please explain me the differences between microsoft flight simulator and x-plane? Do u need a $5000 computer for x-plane too, or is the whole engine much better desinged?

  • @jesseman0612 Keeping in mind these are my opinions though they are supported by many in the XP community. The main advantage is the realism XP has over MSFX in terms of flight dynamics and characteristics. XP is used to drive full size, full motion simulators for training purposes. NASA, Cirrus, Burt Ruttan and Scaled Composites use XP to design and test their concept planes and there is an FAA approved version of XP. Both sims have their strengths and there is room in the world for both.

  • I think FSX has some competition but I also think that MS Flight will beat this

  • @BoeingFA18F I think it all depends on what one is looking for in a flight sim. But I believe it's personal in terms of doing ones research and making an educated decision and purchase. Having worked with XP now for as many years as I have and knowing the background and knowing where the sim is headed, I am quite confident XP will be breaking new ground shortly and will be am major contender for many years to come. But to each his own. There is room in the world for two flight sims.

  • @Mega123lol321 Me too, me too, me too. But I know that the folks at XP and Austin want to perfect it and knowing what I know about what's coming, it's a major leap forward in flight sims. Hopefully it will be worth the wait.

  • I am not an expert on either simulation between MSFS and XP and i have only played MSFS but Microsoft are abandoning the MSFS series and starting fresh with something called "Flight".

I wonder which will be better between "Flight" and "XP2010"

  • @willnicholson18 We'll see what "Flight" is. To the best of my knowledge, it's still not a true flight simulator. I doubt you'll be seeing it drive full motion flight simulators. I recently shot in a facility in Sacramento, California that builds and sells full size, full motion as well as desk top simulators for private and professional use both to individuals and flight centers, etc. The software that drives the sims is X-Plane. The FAA approved version. But let's see what Flight is...

  • I'll never buy X-Plane for the simple fact that the guy that created it is a complete fucking asshole. I've read his interviews and his personal blog and he talks like he's God's greatest gift to the flight sim market. Ever since he got FAA approval (which isn't a difficult trick, BTW) he acts like his shit smells like cinnamon rolls and he holds the rest of the world in contempt. I'd sooner put a fucking bullet in his brain than buy his fucking POS software.

  • @Gamezalot Well there you are then. We'll just leave this up for a while so people can read your comment and judge for themselves. Just a suggestion though, you might want to work out those anger issues. Life is far too short to waste your time and your life on someone if you're really not all that impressed by them. I hope now that you're expressed yourself, maybe you can move on. I hope rather than blatant profanity, you can use your anger and frustration to do something good with your life.

  • @Gamezalot

Go to your local bar, ask for a vodka tonic ... relax ... You will not find a sim that even comes close to the realism of X-plane ... Austin is a humble guy ...I knew him when he first started out. His software and mind go beyond what most people can comprehend. Good luck to you my friend

  • @bladeslap Amen to that. And by that, I'm not sure if I mean the vodka tonic, or that Austin's mind goes beyond what most people can comprehend. Along with genius comes eccentricity, that's the nature of the beast. Life is too short to fight over flight simulators. So much more to do in the world. But it's all good. Now, where's that vodka tonic? Waiter! Waiter!

  • @bladeslap fsx is the best, xplane looks like fs 2000-02

  • @TheYozStudios There you have it then. Not much left to say other than enjoy FSX and happy flying!

  • awosome!

could you please list which add ons and plug ins are appeared?

  • @cheerblues I wish I could but it's been so long since I created the video I am at a loss. Not too mention I am far to busy to look back and do the research. I can tell you that most of the more detailed scenery are third party add ons. Most are free. I don't believe there are to many plug ins. Hope that's of some help.
