  • ive recently been watching your videos and they help me out alot so keep it up.... and btw I believe your from kentucky what part couse im from london about 1 hour south of lexington..

  • u should connect all ur ponds with like a little stream! that would be freakin awesome!!!!!!!!!!

  • how deep is that pond?

  • The main thing you should consider is water puddling next to the foundation of your house which might cause leaks in your basement. It is a good thing for your house that the ground is sloping away from your house and carrying the water away from the foundation. As for heat I would guess that it would be cooler than the one you have above ground do to the fact that the ground would absorb some of the heat. If it is above ground it will get hotter, and your plant idea will keep it cool.

  • I would not make it square. And actually dig into the ground to make it deeper, and do the leveling there. Also it would be a good idea to thing about rockwork with some hardty plants to make it look more natural.

  • @schtals I want it up higher so my kid doesn't walk into it... and I'm lazy

  • If you wanna bring the heat down in a concrete pond cover half of it up with old pond liner or bin liner to shade it...you could use netting to break the light up too :) , keep up the good work dustin!

  • @TheRossiboy Yeah this is a concern for the fish more so then the plants.....good call. I think that obviously planting the crap outta it is my first line of attack, then some kinda coverage
