great game. I played Lotro for over a year (and still do) , but I bought a yearly subscription to EQ2. it's a lot of fun, great quests, great atmosphere. I love it !

This must be old info...I don't remember priests ever being the ONLY class able to revive a fallen comrade. What about paladins? I played from the beginning and don't remember not having revive.

You don't need to purchase all the expansions for EQ2, just buy the latest expansion (sentinels fate right now) and you will automatically have every single expansion.

Actually, EQII is taking a lot of ideas from WoW lately. You know... achievements... battle grounds... I think both WoW and EverQuest II are great games. I don't understand fanboys always fight. Both games are very similar. I don't understand why you can't just like both of them.

@hobofromhelltp I've played both, from a distance both games do look similar as they are Fantasy MMO's. But they are very different games, WoW is more of a MMOG pitched as a very easy casual game outside of raids.

Whereas EQ2 is more of a MMORPG with a much more dangerous world outside of just raiding.

They're aimed at different audiences at this point.

And give credit where credit is due, SOE's SWG had BG's before WoW, so why couldn't SOE's EQ2 have taken the idea from there? :)

@hobofromhelltp I agrree they are both very good. I think if your under 25 you will like wow better and if your over 25 you will like eq2 better. The reason for this is first you will be playing with people your age which you will have more in commen with. However it also is because WoW is more about you where EQ2 is more about selfness and help your friends and guild. It even gives awards for helping others such as extra AA.

I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion? WOW used to be an ok game, but now it's so commercialized it's sad. If anything, wow has become a "fail" version of eq2.

get a brigand , its a t2 dps , but very needed as utility and its dps is consistent, very good to solo

@lolzomgz1337 a good dps class that can solo well would have to be a necromancer tehy can summont thier fighter pet to keep damage off them while killing and also go down the tainted heals line and the figther line to keep your fighter pet best and also get a expert or better pet they can take more damage

very good video i play a tank for my guild at the moment lobo brigada on nagafen and we are really getting the group thing down the only problem i find in eq2 is that some peoaple really don't understand that for me to draw agro back the dps need to stop for 2 or 3 secs so i can snag him otherwise its really hard as they have big hits so i hope more people watch the vids like this and gain a better understanding of group dynamics

well i have played Wow for 3 years and i have gotten bored of it. The only thing that i still enjoy is pvp. Ive been looking for another great mmo that i will enjoy. I used to play everquest frontiers, is this like an expansion to it , or a entirely different thing? please can someone message me with an answer it would be DEEPLY appreciated!!

It's just a game of trial and error, you never know if it's going to be the right one this time, and somtimes you feel like giving up, but people can't shine if not givin the chance. The only way to chose the right mate is to convince youself you already have.

After 3 years off and on in WoW my husband and I are coming back to EQ2. I miss it so much. The players in world of warcraft were very rude and insulting. The game got pretty boring after you reach the level cap, not alot of thing to do. Not so in EQ2! ALWAYS something to do! I'm also a big fan of the housing and really enjoyed crafting things for my house =) Our new xpac should be here monday yay! And Zonker61 is right it's a really great deal. Also the players are much nicer in EQ2 =)

EQ2 is very similar to WoW, so if you try out EQ2, you won't feel too out of place.

I was so drawn in by this game that I worked my character, a Templar, up to level 80. The newest expansion is not just an expansion but a box including all 5 expansions and 3 adventure packs for a mere $39, that is a great deal. My favorite class was the bard!!! ...almost reached lvl 15 before W.o.W came out..then EQ2

changed and w.o.w sucked....i dont know what to play next...i wish they will be a EQ3 !!!
