Oklahoma leads the nation in collegiate titles and olympic medals. High school is one thing but the elite excel at the next level. Ohio is just starting to get it's collegiate programs in order, but have a promising future.

Athletes on a college team get experience from all over, are from other places, get experience OUTSIDE their home town and coaching/influence from beyond what only the locals can provide. Since college and university level recruit athletes and coaches, you can have a great collegiate level program at a place like Oklahoma that doesn't reflect what the state actually offered all those years in talent base. High school shows where it's from. PA, OH, NJ, CA

lemme tell ya somethin, if tirapelle would have worked harder on offensive, whether or not he executed, he coulda had a better showing and schlatter wouldn't have walked all over him. it's not that he did bad, it's that he seemed to resign to the fact that schlatter was gonna dominate him. nice gramby though, not that it got him out.....ever see a heavyweight do a gramby?
