i am a big country music fan as well as other music!i always loved staind!!!!they are awesome..this guy can sing,doesnt matter if its country or rock!!!id give anything to sing half as good as he does,and sure as hell would love to be able to write songs like he wrote this one!!!!!

I love Aaron's voice. I'm so happy he's a country boy. I'm very happy he loves this country and the people who serve it. I'm proud to have always been his fan, him going country (for this song or more) just made him my favorite music artist all over again.

You might see why it has that "hank" sound if you watch the actual vid. If you play music you know that most country /southern rock is based off of the same 3 or 4 chord template. Tthats kinda what makes country music sound country.. Its a hybrid -ish mix of country boy can surive, devil went down to georgia and copperhead road.. three staples of southern country music.
its not ment to sound like something new. A country boy, cowboy, redneck & hill billy are not the same people.

I love this song , growing up in Agawam , Massachusettes , where Aaron is from, he understands that the Country Boy is from everywhere,(not only the south, mason dixon line) and we grew up hunting, my grandfather would take us 30 miles to the woods and tell us how to write a generic song that kid rock fans could understand ,

@7172971729 WELLLLLLL....Hank JR sang Country Boy CAN SURVIVE. Not a damn thing like this master peice. Although still a badass song and an anthem for some of us but so is this, minus a few lines.
