  • You, sir, are a genius.

  • This inspired me to write an amazing poem im in love with you persistance and i just love it fuck!

  • This is amazing! You are so talented! Your channel is pure pleasure!

  • Brilliante! Bravo!!!

  • Perfect hand position and the most relaxed right hand I've ever seen. That's very nice to see. Good work. I generally find Eastman tone thin on mandolins, but it seems to work very well for this sort of music.

  • Pretty cool

  • genius

  • bravo

  • Love this BEn; hats off to you, great musical interpretation on my favorite instruments, :)

  • very nice!

  • Amazing. You are a great artist.

  • What can I say? This is just pure unadulterated brilliance.

    Loved every second of it.

  • Wonderful!

  • Outstanding!

  • Does anyone know what the instrument in the upper right corner is (at the beginning)? It's like a larger mandolin.

  • @coughsyrup78 It's an octave mandolin. So just like a mandolin, but larger and tuned an octave down from a mandolin (so GDAE, just like a bouzouki, but with a shorter neck)

...but I restrung it to CGDA (a 5th down from a normal mandolin) so it's acting as a Mandola in this video.

  • actually..I think GDAD is more common for a bouzouki, but I know some ppl using GDAE

  • So inspiring!

  • phenomenal

  • An absolutely wonderful rendition of one of humanity's greatest accomplishments, but the picture of Bach at 3:59 scared the shit out of me.

  • @Thatsomebootychatter Bach: Biggest troll ever.

  • this is just awsome!!!

  • only just now have i seen greatness

  • wow!

  • I love the many stringed instruments and it's so well done!

  • Amazing!

  • LOL. You pro, my man.

  • Bravo !

  • Amazing, You really manage to make the mandolin sing. I am really impressed by your skill.

Your performance reminded me of the recording of the brandenburg concerto's by trevor pinnock and the english concert.

Liked, added to playlist & favorites. *standing ovation*

  • Brilliant! What an absolute pleasure it was to watch each of its 6:33 minutes! I look very forward to more! Well done!!

  • BRAVO, BEN!

  • Your video editing makes it a marvel to not only listen to, but to watch as well.

  • You have something so different ,and it appeals to a much wider audiance than regular symphony music .You could do shows with a loop or add players. .Hope to see you in concert one day.

  • Excellent. Ordering your CD now.

  • Wow! Intense!!!

  • Nice!

    BUt this is 3rd mv

  • @Lity10 This is the 3RD CONCERTO but the 1ST MOVEMENT :)

  • Ottima esecuzione.

Ciao e auguri.

  • Viewing this submitted me to the aesthetic experience.

  • Thanks! this is great! Sounds good!

  • Fabulous!

How many takes did it take, and which video editing software did you use?

  • This rules.

  • Awesome!!!

  • Ben ,heres a tip from a 66 y o old player- Focus on the wood, not the electricity !

I love your music. The instrument sounds like a Gilchrist A, from Australia.

Good luck Ben & your Bach !

  • Fuckin' Hell, is that the same bloke playin' all those instruments?

If so, well, we are not worthy...

  • I know the Brandenburg Concertos very well, and this is truly amazing! Today's technology is incredible, and you master it well! I remember in 1969 when this concerto was released on "Switched-On Bach". We have certainly come a long way since then!

My compliments on a terrific job, once again!

  • Awesome! Thanks for this!

  • ahh.. one of the better things in life.. bach played beautifullly...

  • I wish you had used a Bowl Back Mandolin for the recordings. It will sound musc sweeter. Can you consider that for your next CD?

  • Great, I was learning this song on Mandolin myself. Great job!

  • Oh, you make it looks so fun to play.

Awesome job, I really loved the mandolin & bass combination that I discovered with your music.

Thanks for keepin' Bach's pieces alive.

  • Really good! Good quality :)

  • you would have a status bass >_<

  • this ownes...
