LOL That IS a 7 string guitar

  • @jingeshan24 it kinda is one..

  • nice nice^^

  • you need to stop the string from ringing dude!!!

    Very good cover..

  • I noticed that almost immediately after he started playing and its a common mistake for ppl who ain't paying attention to their playing.

  • @ESP4thaWin idk i think it adds a neat touch to the song

  • Dude nice cover...Nice guitar :D...everything is nice :D!So why not?:D!5/5 best cover i have seen of this song :D!!

  • hell, he even looks like petrucci!

  • dude i have one Question, do you really have to palm mute on certain parts?

  • yes

  • Szacunek za technike. P.S. A ta podkoszulka to jakiś żarcik, prawda ?

  • it is possible

i can play this part in a 6 strings 'cause u dont need to reach high notes!

    :D

  • cool, man im a new with dream theater and i want to play their songs specially this, but i dont have any guitar with 7 strings, can i play this with a guitar of 6 strings and what could be the tune of the guitar, you rock man!

  • I'm afraid it's impossible

  • yeah its basically impossible bro unless you tune to B standard, which would need very beefy strings and you still wouldnt hit the higher notes too well if at all

  • Very True. I have tuned to B standard, but it gets really annoying, Also, if you have a guitar with a locking tremolo, you have to have it setup to B standard which is even more annoying. You can get some pretty cheap 7 strings though.

  • If you where to play this song on a 6 string guitar, the tuneing would be

    B E A D G B

I suggest changing your strings to really really thicks ones so that your guitar strings aren't loose and floppy and crappy sounding.

though you would not be able to play some of the higher parts ( like the solo ) without the high E string.

  • Not quite right, it's B E A D F# B. You tune down two steps and a half to go to B standard. Two and a half steps down from a B string is an F# string.

  • Zugabe! Zugabe! ^^

  • Alter Schwede...äh..Pole :D Du rockst ja ganz schön ab...wird Zeit für ne Band ;)

  • Der rockt, der Kanak!
