with respect to his policies, mccain is like bush on steroids. anyone who can recall off the top of his head how many houses he has should vote 3rd party.
Right! Still, the Republican politicians are very smart, in a way. Their policies work against the average person. So the average person is miserable and pissed off. Then every four years the Republicans harness the misery and anger they've created while deflecting attention away from their real policies and onto things like welfare mothers and gay marriage, or the supposed terrorist connections of their opponent.
only after the "Keating Five" controversy and don't get me started on Palin trying to spin her "guilty as charged" in an abuse of power investigation to exactly the opposite. he phrase, "Who you gonna believe, me or your own two eyes/ears?" comes to mind. Couple that w/her acceptance of the Darth Cheney doctine of unlimited power in the VP spot and zero accountability. If this isn't 4 more years I don't know what is!
They're angry because for so long we, the whit majority, has been in power and for someone who is trying to disguise their predjudice in cutesy euphemisms is starting to abandon subtlty and express their genuine fear of a black man being in the highest office in the land. It will crush their pride...deservedly so. Rather than put genuine thought into they just like to throw out the word "maverick" like religious people use "god" as a conversation stopper. McCain's maverick persona happened

They're angry because they know they are wrong, and stupid people don't like being wrong, it always makes them angry.

The top republicans are smart, and evil. The lower republicans are ignorant of the fact that they are being used.
