  • great producer!

  • Sander looks a spitting image of Graeme Le Saux here! (One for the UK viewers!)

  • @djlavisse That had been bothering me for such a long time now! I just couldn't remember whom he resembles!!

  • everything is "very simple" for Sander..

  • Sander - my favorite dj/producer

  • Name of the track that he is making in the session?

  • what keyboard?

  • anybody else think it sorta sounds like tiesto-fresh fruit when he first starts to play the melody

  • Quelqu'un sais quel programme utilise Sander Van Doorn ? merci d'avance

  • @it4lianopouplier Logic Pro

  • Responder a este vídeo... EXS24

  • No it's even smaller, oxygen 25:-) hey DF when's the next session!!?

  • what Midi keyboard is that??

  • @FlyBoygrCM

    E-MU Xboard 25

  • what MIDI is that? is that Oxygen49?

  • the synth is from Reflekt Feat. Delline Bass - Need To Feel Loved :)

  • sander seems like such a nice guy

  • why did you cut how he did the modulation of the synth?? (coz thats money worth)

  • i want logic, im currently using reason 4

  • What's that preset he uses from the Predator synth?

  • @ArtIncMusic 'Jump torque' is the preset he uses for predator. Its under patch 'predator dance o1, Preset 30=)

  • Keep up the good work Sander Van Doorn!

We also teach in Logic Studio, private lessons in your own music style. check out djschoolzuidholland.nl for more info

  • I'v learned alot by sander van doorn !! i don't want to critic any one but he is a great man and every one who teach Music Production cheers

    SACHA malta :)

  • gahhhh he makes it seem so easy! id kill for the magic touch he has

  • In Fl studio i believe!!! :P

  • that's why i love dutch people;) Sander is a very nice person

  • did he sad " osKilator" X-) ???

  • do u have nexus too?

  • The predator synth has 3 Osk-ee-lators.. lol

  • the omnisphere syth he uses costs $499 / €379 haha !

  • It's pretty funny how everyone is fighting over which software is best for production. It has nothing to do with the software - it has to do with the artist. Most programs already have the biggest functionalities and effects of professional music, whether it's FL or Ableton, so there's no point in debate.

  • 5 people don't understand electronic musicianship.

  • i freakin love the synth!!

  • does any one know the quantize he is using?

  • @dforcerzTV swing on the 16th? heavily?

  • You look at reason, very very anolog, which is to be honest half of it's appeal. I love working in reason, it feels alot more natural and hands on, how music should be. Logic is very clean, with lots of space and neutral colours, same for ableton live. FLstudio has quirky things like you'll drag a sample and you can see the waveform as you drag it and it slowly rocks as you pull it left and right. These minute differences make a world of difference. oh the irony!! :)

  • 2 main DAWS are cubase and logic fact neather of them are better or worse they do the same thing in diffrent ways some people like ferry corsten tiesto showtek use cubase some like van doorn armin use logic

  • @SyNtHsCaPe how about a little programme called pro tools?? And they aren't main DAW's wtf? Just widely used. i'm a believer that DAW's do differ alot. For me I cannot stand Cubase, and this isn't anything to do with audio processing quality because it does sound amazing just like most of the other DAW's, for me cubase has a very dull and uninspiring interface. Lets face it when we're making music we can't exactly go down to the beach, so we need our interfaces to look as good as possible

  • @SyNtHsCaPe wow u tellin me cubase does not look good man it looks the best of the best logic looks shit and boring pro tools is just a crock of bolocks due to all the main and best synths are vst and most wont work in pro tools cubase is by far the best cubase was around long be4 pro tools logic ecc ecc fact cubase is very hard to learn granted but never the less once learned it payes off i cant stand pro tools never the less in theory they all do the same host ur plugs and make music :)

  • geef je ook prive les

ik meer leren over logic pro

  • Does anyone know which program he use?

    FL studio?

  • @gomarkgo12 logic studio

  • @daverud777 Thanx

  • soo sick - i love that he shows how he produces his tracks, he definitely deserves to be #1 DJ on the top 100 - gna vote now :)

  • whats a software using ? svd ? can i know ? :p

  • @TomOskroba

apple logic ,spectrasonics ominisphere, rob pappen predator vst ,rme audio interface,

It is not what you use its how you use it.

You use it what works for you.

  • FUCKING BULLSHIT commercial assholes...trying to press their shit onto us...I may not be able to skip the shit but I sure as fucking hell can mute it...

Great vid SVD, helped a lot.

  • @DudasMiska hit refresh its faster :P

  • Sander you are the best ★ st. Petersburg '09, Sensation White, SKK Arena

  • @xdzyI thank u

  • what program he using?

  • @MarcioYTchannel Apple Logic Studio

  • @MarcioYTchannel logic

  • @Unbreak look studio session 1 NERD

  • Which programs he using?

  • studio sheshion ftw :P respect SVD

  • thats amazing!

  • id like to know the synth / settings he used for the hoover on renegade... fut wit it!!!

  • sander's mixes are world class, but im totally against midi note programming and swing percentages. imho you should play everything you record live and keep the rhythm natural, especially the drum and bass section. use a groove box like maschine, hit record and play it out...

  • i never understand why so many think FL is top line daw. if it is, why is it every time it is brought up, people have to defend it? I used FL as a total beginner, moved to reason, then live, then everything else. Cubase, Pro Tools, Logic, Live, DP, Studio One, Sonar, Reaper.... these are daw's very few people ever need to defend or justify their use. I can name dozens of producers on Cubase or Pro Tools, only one (deadmau5) on FL.

  • @TiTaNDoLLs and Spor uses it, the reason so many people have to defend it, is because people like you base their opinion on the FL that they used 6-7 years ago, its came a long way since then.

  • this mnml is better than most of the bs he mixes into his sets. he knows what good music is - the problem is his fans are comprised of dress shirt wearing coke sniffing weirdos

  • amazing how simple it looks like when you make a song.. lol, and i always felt guilty when i used presets haha.. keep up the good work man

  • Amazing!

  • I think there are not much differences between Music Production Programs, It depends on you actualli..... the best program is that program in wich you can produec easy ........ I dont blame any program i think all of them are good and with all of them you can do fantastick things !! Just that some of them are difficult to use and some of them ar ease to use ....

  • any one knows what kind of midi controler is he using???

  • What about using Cubase and Reason? Does anyone use that?

  • hahahahha he Tore it up last night :D

  • this man is a genius

  • @PhizzleOut mozart was a genuis.....that word gets thown around away to much...he writes techno....very very well i might add but its not brain science its 10years practise dude...he is no different than u

  • he is very entertaining to watch..

  • I've been working with FL studio voor 5 years now and it still works for me! every program has it's own advantages.. Now i am also learning the basics of Logic and i love it! everybody can make a good track using whatever program. it depends on your knowledge about that program and your musicality... If i made some spelling mistakes i'm sorry but english isn't my first language..

Peace out and keep producing and sharing! grtz from the netherlands

  • @prisonbox69 FL LOL. Dude, nothing like Logic. Plain and simple!

  • @prisonbox69 exactley man!! i dont know why so many people hate on fl studio. afrojack uses it, and hes one of the best producers in the world

  • @EmilDann1 Afrojack one of the best producers in the world????? u gotta be kidding me lol IS HE FUCK!!!!!

  • @conorlooter jus because u dont like his music dosnt mean hes a bad producer... if he was a bad producer, he wouldt be as famous as he is... use ur brain PLEEASE

  • @EmilDann1 I didnt mind his music up until he turned to that dutch house crap, it aint music wat so ever! very little production involved tbh and yes i am using my brain!!!

  • How do you do split monitors like that? You can do that with Ableton as well I assume?

  • shut da fuck up you disgusting mother fucker. who da fuck cares about what do you have, u been using those 2 daws for over 4 years and u didnt put ONE RECORD out you useless piece of shit.

  • dj paddy, not to mention laidback luke and afrojack

  • He makes it look so easy :)

  • whats the song called in the beginning?

  • sander van doorn - the bass

  • What's that Groove bass he was using? Is it a Vengeance sample?

  • does anyone know what preset that is on the predator?

  • @lukeleben lol

i was like, hey that sounds nice i wonder what preset that....

and then i saw this haha

  • Comment removed

  • 2 Screens, 1 MAC ;)

  • omnisphere is amazing... but CPU usage . Fuck he like is !!! , just like Jupiter V 8

  • how much do you think all of his equipment is worth say the keyboard computers all his programs ect??

  • The pad is truly outstanding in its own sound!

  • what a fucking dj pumpin that shit when im stoned out my head

  • is he using logic pro or logic studio? im confused...or are both the same?

and which programs are good other than FL studio (i dont like it IMO)

  • All programs are great except ejay ;D for egz. REASON, CUBASE. My choise is FL studio, it is the best

  • fl studio is by far the easyiest way of producing.. reason is reall good but complicated and same with abelton live

  • yeah, its easier but its a ballof shite. in reality its for 12 year olds who think theyre Tiesto....

IMO, once you go down the FL route, you cant be serious about the music you are making

  • haha! wow man, thats the funniest thing ive read in a long time!

Thats FL all over. clog up your screen and make itself look really important, but in reality is just a whole lot of nothing....

Logic on the other hand is more powerful and has more capabiltities than the creators of 'Fruity' could ever even understand....the gulf between them is immense.

what would you rather have, a garage with 20 shitty Fiat Punto's or a Garage with 1 Ferrari....?

    Thats right ; )

  • LMAO your just fucking rubbin it in arent you lol...and ableton is complex as fuck but thats whats so incredible about it because you can do SOOO much with it, especially using it with reason.

  • @DudasMiska rubbing what in?

  • that logic (and ableton, reason) are better the fruity loops

  • Ableton isin't that complex after you get the hang of it.

  • @DJPaddy643 you obviously never used fl studio... i use cubase 5, but fl studio is great.

  • @disciple21781 i use Cubase 5 too. No offense man, and im not trying to insult you, but if you think that Fruity Loops is on par With Cubase 5, then you really shouldnt have the privilege of owning Cubase 5...

  • @DJPaddy643 i dont think its on par, but i dont think reason is either, but i know there are people out there like Spor who uses fl studio, and he makes shit that is super technical, have you ever listened to him? i guarantee you arent a better producer than him on any software. im not trying to insult you just saying you dont know what you're talking about, its not always the software but the person using it...Rusko uses Acid, and that's not on par with Cubase, but he gets great sound out ofit

  • @disciple21781 they dont master it in fruity loops, i swear 90% export their loops into protools and edit it there

  • Comment removed

  • Just had a listen to some of you're tunes, notably the AvB remix, and im not criticising your producing abilities at all here because its certainly not the worst thing ive heard from FL, but your tracks and every other track that is produced in FL all sound the same. listen to a few seconds from any FL track and you now instantly that they are FL tracks because they sound similar - They lack depth!!

For me FL can put tracks together, but it cant make them sound good. thats the difference...

  • That's a bit of a generalisation though isn't it. FL STudio is a really good DAW to learn in as it's very intuitive in it's layout etc. The problem comes when you start building your skills and want to put together more complex sequences in the 'Playlist'. Because it's pattern based, everytime you want a variation you need a new pattern clip, and automation then becomes split over all the clips which is horrible. You can still make good tunes, but it's actually pobably harder...

  • yeah, very true, thats sort of what i was trying to say in a way...

i suppose the best way to say it is, FL is good for getting started, but will ultimately limit your own creativity!

  • Yeah, you get loads of ideas down quickly, but end up with loads of unfinished tunes because they became a nightmare to structure.

If anyone's in that position I'd recommend Ableton as a next step. It's got a bit of a learning curve, but once you understand it, for me it has all the good stuff that FL had, plus tons and tons of improvements. A good way to move into the standard non pattern based DAWs. Logic of course is amazing as well though you'll need a Mac to run it.

  • i personally find Cubase to be very good for sequencing Electronic music....

I just find it extremely easy to express your ideas and get them into an actual track...and sequencing is extremely detailed and editable....there's a parameter for everything....

I think Cubase and Logic would rank highest as favourite DAW's amongst the pro's with Ableton being popular with DJ's who use it to perform live as well...

  • Paddy you are very wrong. Im tired of all these people saying FL sucks. FL is a beast, if you know how to use it properly. Just because you or anyone else cant put your so called "creativity" in it doesn't mean its for noobs or shit. Lots of professional and successful people use FL for their productions.

  • obviously another twat with FL who thinks he's fucking Sander Van Doorn...

alright then Jimmy, name me 5 pro's who use FL. And dont bother saying Deadmaut5 either, he's on ableton and Logic now....

    1)

    2)

    3)

    4)

    5)

    ...im waiting

  • Before i get started on the people, who the FUCK said i think im Sander van Doorn? Until you find evidence, stfu. Next on to the people.

    1. Spor

    2. Mike Oldfield

    3. Basshunter

    4. Steve Duda

    5. Jeff Samuel Oh and about Deadmau5, he still uses it. I suggest you update your knowledge base.

  • actually, i take that back!!!

San Cisco is a lovely track! i like it!

and if you made that with FL, you deserve kudos man! i just love to think what you'd be able to do with Logic or Cubase!!!

Keep it up....and dont pay too much attention to me, i can be cranky at times lol!

  • Thank you, and yes it was made in FL, got recently signed. I use FL for small loops and then i use ableton, but san Cisco was made in FL. Its getting mastered by a company currently. Everybody has those days, i had it yesterday XD.

  • Nice!! certainly changed my outlook on FL!

subbed and hope to hear more of the same in future!

    Good luck with your music!

  • Thanks, appreciate it.

  • hey man its great that you got song released using FL! i just want to know one thing, how do you make the drums sound "real"? i have no problem with the synths or effects i just have such a hard time finding the right drums and making them sound good u know? i'd appreciate any help, cheers!

  • Well i dont just take a kick and use it. I put it into a mixer track, EQ it, Maximus, Sound Goodziser, Compresser. If you want an easy way of putting up the kick without distorting, then put compresser -3db, and put maximus leave it at default. Easiest way, of course theirs more. Like in my latest song.

  • nah i know about all that stuff it just doesnt really do it for me. cud be becus i use drumsynth live though... thanks anyways, i'll try out maximus next time

  • First of all, that ain't FL studio dude!

  • WOT? i wasnt talking to you or about this vid.

  • @DJPaddy643 laiback luke bobby burns , afrojack,,

  • @DJPaddy643

    peter presta

    afrojack

    laidback luke

    Robbie rivera

i can told u a lot more, see if u learn, it doesnt matter wich dawn u use, but HOW you use it dumbass.

  • @ANALOGHIPPIE

    Laidback luke is on Ableton

    Robbie Rivera uses Logic

    your a twat

  • @DJPaddy643

Who da fucking told you that? both use FL STUDIO.

shut da fuck up i bet u dont even use magikmusic maker and u are pretending to talk like a pro. die asshole

  • i use Cubase 5 and Logic 9....

you have no argument at all. Just fuck up before you embarass yourself....

honestly, arguing on Youtube, get a life you sad cunt

  • @DJPaddy643

Btw i just saw you have 17 years on your bio. well its all said. GO DRINK SOME MILK kid!!!

  • actually i have 2 tracks getting mastered at the minute, both highly likely to see a release according to 2 fully qualified studio engineers...

so maybe you should just grow up, and stop spewing your bullshit over a good video. I wont be replying any further...

    oh, and get a life

  • @DJPaddy643

according to 2 fully qualified studio engineers...

AHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAHAH! Die kid, DIE! go get some milk

  • yea but thats what so great about it, you can do SOO much especially when used with reason

  • Oss-Kill-ators. :]

  • Fuck sakes I have to work like WEEKS to create a chord like that, so perfect.

  • Logic is very similiar to FL

  • HA! yeah u keep tellin yourself that buddy.. lol

  • he looks like he is hung over lol:D

  • haha very true

  • makes it look easy, specially when you can just pull up one expensive software (omnisphere) after another.

  • Ehm, he made the basics of the tracks using super simple Logic bundled plug-ins - and that's pretty cool!

  • What has expensive software got to do with making music? I use basic software bundled with FL Studio and can make decent sounding tracks. Just depends how you use the software.

  • Indeed you do. The point i'm trying to make is you DON'T need to spend a fortune to make music. If your really into production then spend what you deem to be nessacary.

Oh and by the way, don't patronise me you jumped up little twat.

  • I'm not patronize you douche bag I'm trying to give you constructive criticism i mean I would hate to see you give dance music a bad name but yeah good luck with your career O WAIT THATS RIGHT... your not serious about music production you use fruity loops! lol

    WHY SOO SERIOUS!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • So where are your big productions? I see your storming the dancefloors with your productions. So what if i use fruity? I use Logic too, they both have their benefits, hell i even dabble with Ableton from time to time. Don't be such a knob, last thing this site needs is people clogging the server with negative feedback.

  • Best idea i've heard all day :)

  • Just ignore that guy he's got nothing better to do. Just keep making music. ('',)

  • If you check he's favorites he has a video there, where a producer showing off his studio is actually using Fruity Loops with loads of expensive hardware. The truth is? He thinks it takes good equipment to make good music now thats funny! I know that without a good understanding of music all the toys in the world will just make it sound like glorified rubbish. In fact some of the best producers in the world started with Fruity Loops hence "FL studio".

    Keep the vibe alive Shonkysaint.

  • yeah, to bad :(

  • logic only works on MAC :D

  • I have osx 10.5.7 running Logic 9 on dual boot with Windows 7 on my PC :) - Asus p5k-e mobo, q6600@3ghz, 4gb ddr2-800, geforce 8800gts.

    Everything runs like a dream.

  • erm...so??

All the guy before said was you need a MAC tu run Logic lol

  • oskalator...quantatize.

    brilliant!

    good vids!

  • lol...i thought that too!

  • the way how he works for the first part of the song ( 5.00), it's so close like to work with Reason...just need a midi keyboard...or a midi controller i think will be to cool for a live session...(hope that everybody understand me...and sorry for the mistakes, if there are)...by the way this is a great tutorial...

  • legend he was amazin at creamfileds 2009!!!!!!! yaaaaaaaaaaaaass

  • leuk man, die studio sessions.. thx sander !!

  • great stuff :)

  • what software does he used

  • Logic Studio

  • Logic

  • logic studio

  • he used logic

  • is he using the ableton live or what?

  • seems like you really can't tell the difference. unless ableton is the only thing you know. Logic looks nothing like Ableton Live. FYI

  • Laat ze maar lullen, voor ze het weten staan ze te house op de beat.

    Holland 4ever

  • All of you people who hates, just shut up!

He is a prof so you can all learn if you listen to him.

  • Staan ernstige reacties bij....iedereen weet het allemaal zo goed...

  • Zeer goed! Nice job!

  • omnisphere is not a synth, a rompler :p

  • Wise words! ;)
