  • What's up ReBeat thanx for replying. Well I was asked to play the drums for a friend who is trying to form a blues band. Can you recommend any good stuff to listen too? I would really appreciate it. I am knew to this style but I like it a lot. Any tips would be great thanks for the + vibe.

  • 2 words 1 Guy [Jimmy Reed] for blues Drums, Harp, Guitar, and vocals. Basic Roots but it is all feeling mixed with the right notes at the right time. I can help you. and If you can play him you will be able to speak real blues language with anyone. Almost every 1960's group did a Reed song or listened to him the Doors, The Stones, Dylan CCR, ect. the Beatles got their Yeah Yeah Yeah from him. See my tribute to him Seeds of Reed video

His Records are on You tube. Email me I'll give you my #

  • Thank you I agree, I plan to improve those things. Thank you for taking the time to comment join my channel and get all my videos plus the newest to you come right after downloaded.

  • Nice video dude. Open tuning's the shit, especially with a slide. You got any tips on playing in standard tuning?

  • Thank you Open is fun and easier to learn. tip #1

If you have 2 guitars make a standard and a open guitar play them both lots one after they other and a few mistakes playing open in standard visa vera should help remind you pretty quick. Mistakes are helpful if you choose to learn from them. email for more tips.

  • Dude, I think you smoked to much herb cause im lost! I don't know anything about how to tune it. I want to learn how to play the blues. How do you Tune it to those notes? It might aswell be D G D L M N O P. Im clueless. Teach me oh wise one. Cool vid by the way.

  • Hey Cat thanks for the view Daddy O, I like your humour. I do live in BC Canada so it's in the air & everywhere lol. But U stand to be corrected Son from 25 secs to 52 secs I explain the tuning it was 5 string guitar day. Also on the screen in Black letters is the Tuning. Have fun!!

  • That is first class instructions....Looking forward to the next one.

  • Thank you Kansas please join my group and get my videos as soon as they go up. I'm working on some of my other video music projects but will be putting up more music less talk lessons stay tuned, For a new 5 string blues and Stones lesson and maybe a new harmonica video,

  • Thanks for your kind words, Yes I'll be making another one more on the playing and strumming Less talk more Blues.

Happy new Year, Send me some of your stuff networking is the best way to go Daddy O.

  • True but it is nice to let your ear find things sometimes. We all play the same chords but our ears give us the rhythm. Like the old bluesmen learning from a Phonograph. I can't give it all away you have to steal some Son.. keep pickin'

  • Good for you to post these valuable, personable, entertaining and cool lessons on Youtube that educate new learners without boring them Jimy.
