@oo0o0opss I really think it's the back up singers' scream. Mariah's nodules couldnt make those sound... usually nodules affect the high notes and control of the voice and sometimes split the notes, but it doesn't produce "whistle"notes. Especially all that noise sounded like "AH" when mariah was clearly singing with actually lyrics, and her belting actually sounded pretty clear and strong.

It's her diamond mic,at the inaguration it did that and she had to switch mic's out.
If you pay attention U will notice that she sings hero with that mic but then changes to a regular one during sign sealed delivered.
so it's not the whistle and besides don't ya think it would be kinda of hard for 2 registers to come out at the same time???

yea...obviously on the record, Mariah does do a whistle towards the ending of the song, but for some reason she allowed one of those background singers to hit a whistle note as well...she shouldve just left that out all together if shes not going to do it, because OMG..that just threw me and it kinda messed up the perfomance...because its like who is screeching in the background..because they weren't doing a good job..at all..lol. But Mariah sounded awesome..and those two girls can't over do her
