I need a sight glass, I went dry and over cooked my connections, i brazed them instead of silver solder, worked much better this time, it's all about trial and improvement
look for a camping stove for fuel, a small propane one is cheap to run and easy to get fuel, and adjustable flame,
if you build a boiler holder try to incorperate a safty cover if the bottel was to fail, and remember after many heating the tank can fail, please post my video if you dont mind,
you might wanna be careful, you might have a safety valve, but 250 psi of steam coming out of that valve will launch that contraption or even worse, spin it at 500 prm...steam is DANGEROUS if handled poorly...
@Amazingmandan333 An induction heater for this project is by far not the best choice, plus who wants an expensive high teck heater on steam engine, kind like putting a blackberyy in a wineo's pocket.
Safety valves for boiler, hot water heaters, etc. have a BTU Rating. Basically, how much energy can they release. If your fire puts more energy into the system then the safety valve can handle then the safety valve is useless. The contraption could still explode. Read up on this. Do your math home work and maybe some day you can be a mechanical engineer...
Steam engines, rc planes, and unicycles... looks like we're reading from the same book brother! Cheers! check out my stirling engine video, you'd love it.
Nice set up. I am myself looking for ideas to build my own steam engine, and couldn't quite find the right idea that i could build with, with parts that would eaisly be availible to me. Well, I gotta say, i think Im gonna try to do something like yours. That will look awesome. Of course, I MUST give you credit if I do though, as it would not all be my idea. Good Job. Keep posting vids of it. I a very interested in your little concotion there. Thanks, MegaJonesProductions
Add a small steam wisle, I think it would be cool! Great job anyway. By the way, I had already started building a steam engine from the plans you have and have several pics to share with you if you would like. If so, shoot me your email address

@ismokewead420 faster than 500 rpm that is slow more like 5000 rpm at 250 psi

Induction heater for the boiler would make it work a lot faster and be cleaner.....Plus, it would look super-baller.

adjustable safety = bad news in my opinion.
Adjust it wrong and you have a mighty big bomb there.
But you know that.

How about a fire extinguisher. Be safe please.
