the chaos is amazing but either are great, the chaos is a bit more traditional sounding and a bit more versatile. while the neo is more aggressive and modern sounding.
dude ive played musicman 4 and 5 string versions, then i found the traben array limited 5, and that blows away anythin ive ever played. all trabens rock
I doubt you will, they are hard to find because of how obscure they are. I would just buy it. All the reviews I've seen are absolutely gushing about how awesome they are.
im looking for a new five string bass and im trying to decide between a traben and an ibanez the main seel point for me is that the ibanez is very light are traben basses on the light or heavy side?
You have no idea. I picked up a Traben Array Attack bass and it was so light I thought it was either a replica or a toy. It had such great sound and playability I decided to buy it.
for anyone who knows about it, does the big bridge on the Ibanez ATK and the string-through design of it get the same effect on the sustain and "punchy-ness" as the big Traben basses?
i used to play on an ibanez soundgear, but ive messed around with alot of the other ibanezes
i play a traben pheonix now and i gotta say the ibanezes can can pretty good punchy sound, but the trabens still blow away all the ibanezes ive played.
yea, I have a soundgear myself. But the ATK has an abnormally large bridge, which is one of Traben's big things, so I was wondering if anyone knew if it gave the same effect.
Traben is all about the bridge, if you dont like the massive bridge you will just have to make do with paying a lot more for a bass to get that sort of sustain. Traben's don't have to be as pricey as lets say Warwick models as they don't need expensive woods cause the bigger bridge does it for them
So I assume that the maker never considered anchoring it between two laminated pieces of wood to hide most of the metal but leave the main bridge component exposed?
Well they make great basses to a real great price ^^. but I still prefer Warwick and Ibanez. but TRaben really has a nice look and a great sound, so I would say, if you ever get the chance to bye one, DO IT !!!
Traben is a really cool bass company !!! im getting a Traben Array Special 5 Black Out :) I really hope it is a good bass !!! if anyone know anything about that bass plz tell me !!! :)
Yeah I know that ^^ but they don't have the feeling like warwick or ibanez !!! I would say that you should buy a Ibanez BTB because they can do all kind of genres !!! ^^ just my opinion ^^ but I guess Traben is a great funk bass ^^ (But still)
cool man! I am a hardcore Traben user. Traded my Spector Euro 5 for a Phoenix custom, and a Phoenix 4, which I put Basslines in, and just freakin' LOVE them!
Check out my vid, "amazin grace one man band", and see another reason why everyone should play Traben.....
I'm not hearing a whole lot of treble from that tone. It's pretty much just good for metal and rock I'm assuming? I'm have a Schecter 004 that's extremely versatile but I'm intrigued by these and it just seems like they don't have a lot of character just a lot of lows and good slapability...
I have both the amp and bass eq'd more for clarity than fatness, mostly for the recording. Unfortunately, I had recorded it on my Roland VS2400, but windows movie moaker wouldn't let me sync the video and audio. (surprise?) The thing that really sold me on the Trabens was how many different tones that i COULD get out of it. If you check out their home page, the endorsers range from metal to funk to all over the freakin' place. Some cool grooves going on there.....
yeah man i know what you mean bout' the traben really killer sound and roundness of thew notes.. and yes definitely PUNCHY!!! really fun to just slide and sustain with the babies and cuz of the whole big bridge deal it's easy to play with other basses:P
Ohello, I are Trevor.

bassmasta1331 2 years ago
No, I've tried. The sound is something like, but Traben's is purely unique. Shame that us europeans have to order them from america.
That's a bass guitar.

Yeah but you guys have Warwick, so that makes us even.

hahaha

Hehehe. Yeah.
Are you saying that Warwick is better than Traben? ;)
I think I'd still go for a traben.

thats what they do with the Chaos series. i have one and a Neo. The Chaos is more versatile and heavier sounding. same sustain though.
DoughnutGG 2 years ago
That's good! It's just that I tend to lean toward basses without a lot of paint, pickguard, and chrome.
gebass6 2 years ago
the chaos models and john moyer's signature model have an internal bridge

i love these basses just bought one for myself...the neo limited 5 string
stiffman320 3 years ago
People don't like new in music instrument wise...it's gonna take time but they'll see, they'll see that Traben is another way forward!
Alot of funk and metal bassists took to em...as well as Alt. music so...y'know they are doing something right!
KongoXIIV 3 years ago
yeah Traben are great means you don't have to spend tonnes on basses with fancy woods to get that massive tone
mickyhodge 2 years ago
i do like the look of the Traben and the sustain etc, but i ordered my Traben Array Attack 4 months ago and i still haven't got it.
Something to do with "Trouble" on the US Traben side. So i Bought a Bc Rich instead, Kind of a let down Traben.
I Do like a bit of Tub Ring though ;D

I love trabens tone. the only problem is, the tapping action sucks, i cant tap on them. otherwise awesome!!
jet1sk8boarder 4 years ago
I saw Trevor play live last night and it didn't look like he had a problem tapping. But that could also be because he's had a lot of practice.
faggoteyes 4 years ago
My Traben's an amazing bass for tapping, be it melodic, Stu Hamm style, or crazy EVH tapping solos.
