  • Oh noooooo! LOL

  • Lol

  • haha I just got one of these earlier today... but mine had the words scattered all over the screen for some reason

  • that dosent look like a g5 monitor

    unless its a powermac

  • @victorc0930 It's a spare CRT monitor I had sitting around my office. It's plugged into a G5 tower.

  • Kernel panics have not gone away.

  • I guess the Apple got an worm! GET IT WORM !!!!!! lolololololol

  • "Oooooooooooooh No... I feel sick" xD

  • o que

    não entendi como?

  • ...

  • this happened to my dual 1.25ghz g4

  • If i had this, I would smash my keyboard!!

  • If I saw the "panic: we are hanging here" line I'd run out the front door screaming and pissing myself.

    IT'S THAT SCARY!!!

  • Unix is crashing. Oh wait, Apple stole Unix. Ahem.

  • @Roflcopter4b

    OMG! Apple stole somthing?

    Oh Wait?

    1. Unix is opensource, so: XP

    2. Where did Microsoft stole their OS from? Ah, yeah! They stole it from Apple!

    ***** that -.-

  • @DarkPantherweb What? Unix is not opensource nor is XP. Bill Gates wrote MS-DOS in his basement with a bunch of friends and lots of pizza. Do you have any idea what you are talking about? Apple literally stole an opensourxe OpenBSD kernel and sold it as OSX. Please do some research before assuming knowledge.

  • @Roflcopter4b

Speaking of doing research, you ought to look up nextstep. It's the predecessor to OS X. You need to do some research before telling others to do so. The Mac OS as you know it from the 90's is all but scrapped.

  • They stole a LOT, like the mouse.

  • @Bluerooster100

The mouse was a piece of hardware developed by a third party not associated with either Microsoft or Apple, and was offered for all computers to use.

The Macintosh OS and Windows OS...and practically any GUI system we know of today is based on a design by Xerox. Not one person in the OS business can say their GUI is original.

  • @DarkPantherweb Microsoft existed before Apple did. Apple copied Microsoft.

  • @Pikatwig Okay Pokemon kiddy, go to Wikipedia and search for it!

    you should do your homework...

  • @DarkPantherweb Shut the fuck up.

  • @Pikatwig haha, got yaa!

Your render Arugment is invalid XP

  • Mac: i don't feel good. *Barfs* x_x <--*dies*

  • you know what? stop drinking piss and stop smoking and get a new mac.

  • You sound like Mr. Bill when you say, "Oh Nooooooooo!"

  • The version of this for windows users isn't the bsod..... It's a boot screen thats hangs then says file is missing or corrupt. Then u can shit your pants

  • I remember when this happened to my Mac. I was totally mystified/amused through my terror when I saw the Panic: We Are Hanging Here line.

  • Each & EVERY time I have ever had a kernel panic it's when I was on youtube. Without fail! Never during any other surfing or other activity.

  • love the oh noooooooooooooo hahahaha

  • oh noooooooo, i feel sick

  • i got that panic for a g4 my mac is dead! forever we r going to bury it in te grave yard.

  • @DexterJexster if it's software you just need a reinstall or the hd maybe just dead

  • OH-OH OH NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

xD That was sooooo hilarious! I totally want to use it at the end of a Youtube poop :P

  • I hate it when stupid assholes say FUCKING EVERYTHING is fake.

    It's starting to get annoying.

  • @RamiroR the fuck up!

  • this happed to my friend's hackintosh

  • That's not fake, you idiots.

Did you replace the RAM or something else in the beast? I haven't seen too many panics that haven't been (improperly) tinkered with.

  • the first time i had a kernel panic on my old mac, it scared the Hell out of me

  • kernel version 0.0.0?

  • dude, for a moment i could've sworn i saw Xana's sign from code lyoko XD

  • We are hanging here... *Death*

  • @Applesoldier26 - I'm always amazed when people think this is a fake. Why on Earth would I take the time to fake a Kernal Panic.

  • @benfeingold exactly. it's not like it was a screensaver or desktop wallpaper. that's a real kernel panic. fanboys will deny it to the death that such a thing happens.

  • @Applesoldier26

Nah, it's not fake. Same with iBook G4.

    (posted from my new PC)

  • @Applesoldier26 lake cake make sake bake shake quake rake take wake...

  • @Applesoldier26 is not fake, here in this video shows this too: /watch?v=uB_FJwCEOsc&feature=related

  • @Applesoldier26 ur smart bro

  • lol oh nooo...hahaa

  • Oh.. oh.. Oh my Gooooooood!

  • thats fun. it doesnt put ununderstandable code in like on bsod or linux death. it says someting useful. ''we are hanging here'' lol.

  • "we're hanging here" hmmm... has it ever been hung by a hook. hahahahaha

  • hmm oh Oh oh noooooooooooooooooeee!

    i love that oh no

  • "We are hanging here!" lol that always makes me laugh!

  • Naww. Poor you.. I sure hope you had TimeMachine running frequent backups! I had that on the 'ole PowerBook G4. Poor bugger... Then the inverter cable got caught between the hinge and shorted out the inverter board causing the screen to be black with no backlighting.... Macintosh's are fantastic systems! (When they work)

  • i got a kernal panic today. luckily i fixed it by reinstalling os x.

  • Just be aware that may only temporarily fix it. I have had Kernal Panics and have done the same thing only to find it happen a couple of weeks later. Run verify disk in disk utilities or do a hardware test at start up. cheers

  • i did verify my disk and it said everything was ok.

  • Correct me if I am wrong. That said: We are hanging here.

  • Why is that? because it's text mode? So is a windows crash.

  • nope, it's because they added humor into it

  • Gotcha...yeah, that is kinda funny.

  • @40iv BSOD is far less severe.

  • @40iv

Yes, whats so fun about a dumb stupid blue thing with words! Macs are cool, Windows is dull.

  • Actually...not fake. This is a well documented error. Try searching "panic: we're hanging here" on Google. You'll get 6.1 million results. That doesn't sound fake to me.

  • Lol so fake you typed somthing

  • it's true

  • thats funny

  • Easiest way to fix it is to completely reinstall your system software from the installation CD/DVD that came with your computer. That's what I did.

  • question why in the hell are you using a crt screen on a g5?

  • Because CRTs have a faster Response Time than LCDs.

  • Because it was what I had in my office.

  • @benfeingold dount work when you system panics during install. buy a pc mac sucks since thay went to intell.

  • I updated my software..

then it said i needed to restart it .

i did, then i had the kernel panic background thing

doesnt anyone know how to fix it? its been like 1 week...

  • poor my G4 imac gets right after bootin a K-panic too... even changing the HD didnt help!

  • hahahaha. keep tellin yourself that buddy

  • that happen to me!!! HOW DO YOU FIX IT? lol it happen today

  • I just did a full reinstall of the system software. That fixed it. The system has been running for two years without a problem - knock on wood...

  • I would crap myself if the computer said "we are hanging here" and then I would hide under my bed and curl into a ball...

  • is not problem with software... I worked at apple...may be problem with any component of computer

  • OS lockups and crashes are almost never related to software.

Hell, most of the time it's because a RAM stick gave corrupt data, which can be fixed by opening the machine up and giving the contacts a clean, unless the stick itself is permanently faulty.

  • Darwin Kernel Version 0.0.0? WTF?

  • some of those might have been 8's. Hard to tell on some fonts

  • ....Yeah.. and including the camera.

    [EXRakuya]

  • this happend to me, the "we are hanging here..." thing is kinda of a scary thing to see a computer say.

  • by hanging it means frozen also notice the line above it that says darwin kernel version 0.8.8, you know what darwin is; apple unix! any linux program runs in os x! every major computer company has created some kind of unix (at least some) even microsoft did and even gave it name (other than microsoft unix) and was called xenix. Linux is short for Linus Unix

  • Most OS's use UNIX. Its true that windows uses Unix Kernal.

  • you dont know what a kernel is since you cant even spell it correctly.

windows NT is not unix, not even unix-like.

  • I spelled it like that on purpose, and early windows last time i checked used unix

  • which purpose?

OS/2 used unix if im not wrong, it was from M$ but it wasnt Windows, windows never used a Unix-like kernel, NT isnt

  • No, if you mean the pre-nt versions, they were dos-based, not unix.

  • @isaaccade No, Windows today use NT, and back then Windows used MS-DOS.

  • It definitely is not fake. I lived it.

  • I wondor how you fix it?

  • In most cases, just a reinstallation of OS X (or whatever Mac OS was installed), the best thing about the Mac OS that Windows doesn't support is the possibility to install the OS without forcing a format

In most cases, the kernel panic is caused by a software glitch, where you can just reinstall the OS and you'll be fine, but in other cases it can be caused by outdated or just damaged hardware, where the hardware may need to be replaced, similar to the BSOD and RSOD in Windows

  • thnx I was just wondering incase that happens to me

  • If you ever get a kernel panic, which is rare, try rebooting first, sometimes rebooting fixes it, but if problems persist, or if you have the problem during boot, then the reinstall may be in order

  • I did a quick reinstall of the software and it was fine.

  • YAY! Crash OS X!

  • "Ooo...oo...OOOH NOOO!"

    Sluggo killed your computer?

Well, i was probably a bit rash in my previous comment (if i did comment, it's been a while.). No computers are bad! (well, eMachines are bad, anyway...)

  • hey my computer said "were hanging here" of course, it was a powermac 8500 and I was trying to put osx on it

  • Is better morron!

  • Apple is not better than Microsoft!

  • Of course it doesn't. It's only a video of the Mac OS X Kernel Panic, not a comparison between the BSOD. Don't bring that kind of fanboyism here.

  • lol the little message thing got carried away!

  • Ohh Noooooo jkasja

  • mac: SCREW YOU IM CRASHING AND YOU CANT STOP ME!

  • lol :D

  • NOT SYNCING= ATTEMPTED TO KILL INIT!

  • I love that, at least there being honest. Ah the wonders of Easter eggs.

  • *Sorry for double post*

Lolz kernel version: 0.0.0? Ok, now that is really stupid.

  • LOL! WE ARE HANGING HERE!

  • It is not funny... Actually if it happened to you it would scare as hell.........

  • until "we are hanging here" came up!

  • got the same problem :( i was lucky i had a backup from a week ago

  • yello, how come ur imac g5 is on a pc monitor, shounldnt it bee on the lcd studio displaY?

  • Only if you have a ton of money to spend on a studio display! lol.

  • uh uh oh noooooo!!!

    i feel sick :(

  • Rofl that was the best part of the movie when he said that

  • I KNOW!

  • and thus we abolish all thought that Windows is the only operating system to suffer irrational errors! ha!

  • Ben, I am jealous you have almost 10,000 views! I just hit 2,000...Why does it say we are hanging here? Funny!

  • I KNOW!

  • We are hanging here... LOL!

  • I got that on a Intel one just with less text it was even more funny!

  • LOL ROFL

  • ive seen this happen to an atm machine.

  • Hopefully your ATM machine spit out $50 bills like a slot machine!

  • lol. i wish that it would have done that. same thing with the y2k scare

  • Just wondering... is that the PowerMac G5?

  • Yup. Straight out of the box. I just needed to reinstall the system software and it booted up fine.

  • poor g5 it didnt even have time to start up

  • ouch! this happened to my G3 once..i reinstalled the OS and now it works fine.

  • In the beggining

    "I'm not sure. Good bye"

    ummmmm... what?

  • Someone called as I started recording and I was getting off the phone.

  • i feel sick!

  • Oh up! Oh noooooooooooooo!

  • I like Kernel Attack better than a BSOD. FUR SURE

  • That happened to my Mac Mini G4

  • Heh, that happened to my powerbook G4. Sure, it's funny now, but when that text gets vomited across your screen, you're absolutely terrified.

  • true to that

  • They hide it, but mac OS has Unix heritage, and, with it, the kernel panic LOL XD

  • which g5 are you using? I know you can get KP like what you had by booting Leopard on any G4 desktop that has old firmware. faulty hardware can also cause KP.

  • This was booting on a brand new G5 tower; fresh out of the box, never started up before. I had to do a complete reinstall of the system before it would boot properly.

  • Kernel Panic: We are hanging here...

  • awesome lol :)

  • Dude intel mac's are better why do you think they went to intel G5 was slower than a G4 go look at steve jobs even now in the test's they don't put G5 anymore it's G4 vs Intel

  • Panic: We are hanging here...

    That's so funny.

  • i tryd to instal osx86 got the same error

    (i do have a mac)

  • Apple must be insane to kill off PowerPC NOW!

  • hahaha 'We're hanging here' I love it!! you gotta love the sense of humor the programmers had to put that in.

  • Your voice is so coool :)))

    Oh noooo :D

  • Thats because you tried to run OS X on an old mac using a crappy version of Xpostfacto. Show me the tower and then I'll believe thats a G5

  • Actually it is a G5...and it took reinstalling OS 10.4 to fix the problem. Not that big of a deal...but still a pain in the ass when you think you're good-to-go and suddenly...blamo! Kernel Panic.

  • But still, Thats a nasty panic and normally G5's don't normally do that. Then it could have had a faulty version of OSX on it. Or a hardware malfunction could have occured. Because it says "Kernel Version 0.0.0" Normally if you have OSX 10.2: "Kernel Version 5.5, Panther, 6.0.0, And tiger, 7.7, And so fourth. I may be wrong. Being new into macs and all. But that "0.0.0" error may have been a CPU malfunction or an OSX Corruption. But as long as your's is working again. Thats good.

  • Really, the only bad bit about that video was the ugly beige box that was the display. Really, I have nothing against CRTs infact I even prefer them over LCDs but I don't really like the beige box shaped ones. That's why I like the iMac G3 and Apple Studio Display CRTs and some PC displays that aren't so boxy and beige.

  • The display is an old Gateway CRT that was connected to our old G3 tower. My only complaint about the CRT is that it takes up a lot of space on my desk.

  • I just had that happen to my g5 and am now on my laptop. Did you lose all your files when reinstalling the os? How would I backup my hard drive in this scenario? Thx. for posting.

  • mabye use a linux live cd and an external drive to move all your files away. the most problematic part might be finding the live cd which works on a g5

  • It's trying to tell you Intel time!!!
